  1. Elder making his ML debut today. Tore it up during his 2 spring training starts, hope it continues.
  2. Well, his best pass of the day was a swing pass to a RB.
  3. Opposing pitcher with ERA > 10……That usually doesn’t work out too well for us.
  4. Eventhough he gave up the 3-run homer, I kind of like Olivarez. No pussy-footing around. Just pounds the zone quickly.
  5. Someone said we didn’t have any dirtbags on our team…..well, we have MurphDawg (although that might be about it).
  6. Swinging at shit way off the plate for strike 3 or watching it down the middle.
  7. Hitters 0-1 almost every AB. Pitchers start 1-0 almost every AB. Been that way since Pierce has been here.
  8. To be fair….a grooved strike is very rare from Nixon, so that’s one hell of a job by the hitter.
  9. He got hit on his right knee. He tweaked his left knee rounding the base and was grabbing at it when the trainer was out there. Wish it was just a bruise.
  10. Impossible. I read on this exact message board that he couldn’t hit B12 pitching and his .250 avg would drop once we got into conference.
  11. I’d say the fact that our WRs aren’t dropping more than 1/4 of the passes is definitely a promising sign.
  12. Is that the real audio? Never seen it with sound before. Hilarious.
  13. Damn, Leon must have spent some quality time with a speed coach to get down in the 4.7s.
  14. Wow, out of nowhere….Kenley Jansen. 1 year, $14M
  15. Bryce Elder starting for the Braves today in their first Spring Training game.
  16. We have a 4-5 year window to keep winning with the very team-friendly deals from Acuna and Albies. The only prospect that hurts us during that timeline is Langeliers as he would’ve probably been our starting catcher in a year or two. As far as the $10M/year….we just signed a fringe-all star caliber OF in Rosario for two years at $9M/year. Hate to lose the face of the franchise, but basically trading Freddie for Rosario and a 27 year-old Olson is about as good as that situation could turn out.
  17. Any reason he’s on his 3rd HS in 4 years?
  18. Signed Olson to a 8 year, $160M extension. Great deal for us. Be out of it by the time he’s 35 too. Now just need to sign either Rosario or Soler and 1-2 bullpen arms and we’ll be looking good.
