  1. I’m in favor of our out of conference schedule being Ohio state, Notre dame and USC every year and have said we should riot if we don’t get 9 conference games. This bullshit about avoiding playing good teams to Indiana style game your record at 10-2 is bullshit. I mentioned you yesterday that it’s all over IT. I thought I saw it here too in the last year but maybe over there is the only place it’s been. I know what I hear a lot of times but don’t pay attention to who says it.
  2. Also all the fines they got hit with. Backing out would be a pretty hefty penalty for breaking the contract and they probably don’t have a ton of spare cash laying around.
  3. @closetojumping it’s all over the It board that Michigan is going to cancel on us and maybe OSU. Conjecture not reporting, but not the dumb dumbs. You think they are wrong. You are probably right but I can see the other side of it too.
  4. I mean, I have no idea why we bothered to send him down there with fucking melton and trammell and smith getting AB’s in the bigs. Whatever out of practice Yordan gives you couldn’t be worse, and the other team would at least be afraid of him. if he’s not in the lineup tomorrow I’m pissed. I’d like to see his 4th hit of the night fly over the wall though.
  5. You are fine for Astros games, they will still be on Space city on market. the 5 teams that espn will have home games for, I’m sure, are the ones who had their RSN’s go tits up. I think like San Diego and Arizona were amongst those and MLb took over the distribution for those teams.
  6. Gave it the Homer drool bc as I said earlier, I have a humiliation fetish.
  7. I always get accused of being too optimisitc when I do these- but I'm really not. People pay attention to the big number but the caveat on that is always, if we have a huge season and everyone stays healthy and plays well which they won't. I initially had both of them a level up, but chickened out. Williams being in the bottom group is why I said 1 instead of 0.5. Guilbeau not being in the top group is why I said 7 and not 7.5. I missed on exactly one guy last year in my "guaranteed drafted" column and that was Isaiah Bond. I thought Jake was 75/25 to get drafted and Connor was 25/75- so that played out with 1 pick like I expected it to be. Sort of surprised Trey Moore and Michael Taaffe came back or we would have gotten to that 15/16 I had as definitely possible.
  8. I mean, we tried to make him play sooner with the hand well broken and he was like fuck that shit. They should have flown him to Baltimore after his off day. 2-4 with a walk. What- his timing going to be so far off he can't outperform Cam Smith or Jesus Suckwad (his new name until he gets a hit) or Melton the Molester (his new name unless and until he cuts the mustache)? Whatever, get him 2 more games down there Thursday and friday and then I guess what- he gets a 3 day weekend before catching up with the team for the Rockies at the ice box? No need for a sense of urgency- everything is going so swimingly.
  9. Definitely getting drafted (Seniors who will definitely go and Juniors who are almost certain to declare): Give me 7 from this group of 8 Hill, Muhammad, Trey Moore, Taaffe, Shaw, Campbell, Goosby, Burke Maybe getting drafted (seniors who might get drafted or juniors who would probably get drafted but not definitely coming out): give me 5 of this 12. DeAndre Moore, Guilbeau, Baxter, McDonald, Wisner, Spence, Arch, Hutson, Endries, Vasek, Kanu, Brevard Keep an eye out but I'd bet against (either because coming back or not all that good): Give me 1 from this group of 4 and anyone I might have forgotten. Derek Williams, Lefau, Bouwmeester, Neto, 13. So much just depends on if the team wins it all and accomplishes its goals and we see Jr.'s flock to the draft. That second column could be like 2 or 3 or it could be like 9 if we have a huge season and everyone stays healthy and plays well (everyone won't stay healthy and play well of course).
  10. What are you talking about? He's always wrong. He's clearly being sarcastic. It's what we want him to say. Bama is still fucked.
  11. Nebraska by year and coach- maybe I'm wrong but this is my bet for pretty similar for how Bama plays out. The fact that Helo can't see it makes me even more confident it's going down like this. Tom Osborne era 1994 – 13–0 – Osborne (National Champions) 1995 – 12–0 – Osborne (National Champions) 1996 – 11–2 – Osborne 1997 – 13–0 – Osborne (National Champions, split title w/ Michigan) Frank Solich era 1998 – 9–4 – Solich 1999 – 12–1 – Solich (Big 12 Champions) 2000 – 10–2 – Solich 2001 – 11–2 – Solich (BCS Title Game appearance, lost to Miami) 2002 – 7–7 – Solich 2003 – 9–3 (regular season) – Solich fired after regular season; Bo Pelini served as interim coach and won the Alamo Bowl → final record 10–3 Bill Callahan era 2004 – 5–6 – Callahan 2005 – 8–4 – Callahan 2006 – 9–5 – Callahan (lost Big 12 Title Game to Oklahoma) 2007 – 5–7 – Callahan (fired after season) Bo Pelini era 2008 – 9–4 – Pelini 2009 – 10–4 – Pelini (lost Big 12 Title Game to Texas) 2010 – 10–4 – Pelini (lost Big 12 Title Game to Oklahoma) Also keep in mind the SEC is a lot tougher than the big 12 North was during that time period. so, Bama could be better than Nebraska was and still putting up those kind of 8, 9, 10 win teams, pissing off their fans, and sprinkling in the occasional stinker of a year.
  12. Daboer is a great coach. I really really like him. Remember, Nebraska didn't fall off the face of the earth immediately. They went down to 10-3 on the reg under solich and then fired him, then went down to like 8-5 under the next guy before they really bottomoed out. I see Daboer winning 10 games for them and losing in the first round of the playoffs and not being competitive for the SEC title for 3 years, the yokels getting agitated about it and him deciding to move on to somewhere he will be appreciated, before they settle into an 8-4 type existence for a long time. You are right about the talent area in their area being helpful. Just like OU. But ultimately they are behind Texas, Oregon, Ohio State, (maybe Michigan- depending upon if their sugar daddy stays interested), probably Tech, aggy, Florida, Georgia, maybe the Domers and maybe a couple others in ability to pay. Saban won a rigged game that 6 or 8 schools competed in and there is nothing fucking compelling about going to tuscalusa if the check isn't biggest and you don't have Saban running an nfl boot camp. They are basically just Auburn now with better history.
  13. A lot can happen in 35 years man. Who knows. You won’t even be 90 yet will you? Bet the over. personally, I’m going to die in a sex tent just shy of 100 years old chasing my wife around in a failed attempt to celebrate Texas’ 10th national title in my lifetime. I can’t see any other conceivable way that it might go. Certainly not a major traffic accident or the like where I lose a vehicular collision with a piece of the roadway. That can’t happen twice.
  14. My son put on the pads for the first time in his life today playing football in 7th grade. I can only hope and dream he sticks with it through high school so he can randomly entertain degenerates in 2060 on whatever version of message boards exit then. At that time, if I’m still alive, I will be as old as Army Brat is now. I can’t even imagine the tech fails that wait for me in that point and time. if we are all alive will Sydney be able to spell online by then? To be determined. Helo will still be an idiot though, I’m sure.
  15. Summer of George man. It’s all good. Gonna get that Thursday game and have a 1 game winning streak.
  16. Sbitbirds on here last year. Maybe someone on a couple super chats on Burtons a while back. could have dreamed it on my head or maybe it was pillow talk with Helo. Hard to say man. Hard to say.
  17. Bout time someone did. Dad’s a drooling idiot and she’s got the itch I’m pretty sure. Thanks for your service.
  18. Balls deep. We will go balls deep in the opener.
  19. I'm not watching because I promissed myself I wouldn't watch after last night until they won a game again. I like you and have always found you believeable. This seems a bridge too far. That seems almost impossible to believe. He's actually a good player and he had a decent start coming over here. Wow. 0-29? Really?
  20. Lots of people that know or claim to know things believe both of those shit birds are going to back out on us.
  21. Just so you know, if I was Espada Framber would throw 150 pitches today.
  22. Which rookie OF sucks more dick right now, Cam or Melton? That's a trick question- right now they both suck infinite dick.
  23. Myself. I hate myself for watching these fucking dickheads more than I hate them for being fucking dickheads.
  24. Tigers gonna bunt here and win on 2 pitches in the 10th right?
