  1. We ain’t scoring today.
  2. pray it's only 15 days. As I said an hour ago, guranteed lead pipe cinch on the DL
  3. 100% lock Hader on the IL, and it's apparently muscle and not ligament- so that's good. It didn't have to be Sousa- I'd be fine with Okert. Hell- I'd have preferred Gordon I think since you decided he wasn't starting Sunday. But yeah, Dubin coming back will be a godsend, too bad it's not to add to Hader and instead it's to replace.
  4. Here is the math: Here’s what I found for the distribution of runs scored in an inning with a runner on second and 0 outs: From FanGraphs (using 2019 data), in that specific base-out situation, the breakdown is: 0 runs scored: 39.2% 1 run: 31.7% 2 runs: 14.6% 3 runs: 7.5% 4 runs: 3.6% 5 runs: 1.8% 6 or more runs: 1.6%
  5. UP 3 after he's already pitched an inning? And with how much he's pitched all year? Bennent Sousa, come on down. Look man- even with the ghost runner you have a 90% chance of winning the game without going to the 11th inning. If they score exactly three you still have basically a 50/50 chance starting the 11th. IT's something like 94% chance of winning with a neutral/average pitcher. Sousa is a little better than that. Call it 95. Let's say Hader is 100% (he's not) but being as generous as possible here... for every 20 times you trot sousa out there instead of hader you get 1 less win. Is that worth putting 20 more high stress innings on Hader's are over the course of the year? Especially with how much he's been pitching? Not a fucking chance man. Dumb dumb Espada for a reason.
  6. I literally exactly called it with “5 hitters before we declare him, blah blah blah”.
  7. So, fucking waterhead Espada throwing her a second inning in NY when we were up 3 and he’d already thrown one and putting a season high in pitches in him wasn’t a good idea? who could have possibly imagined? I swear on everything good and holy the fact that some of you bought the Espada for manager of the year with 1.5 seasons of watching. His dumb fuckery is amazing. minding care about results in care about logic and process and Espada fucks the dog at least 4X a week with just stupid ass shit.
  8. He does not. He will probably be gone tomorrow when Dubin comes up. Maybe not.
  9. Hey- a non retarded lineup against a LHP.
  10. That is truly so dumb I couldn't even bring it up b/c most of my readers would think it was made up.
  11. Mockery of those anti Correa trade, appreciation of all the scrubs who won us games and a little on what the roster could be in September and October and finishing kick. Read, subscirbe and get signed up for 2 free playoff tickets to the winner) and enjoy https://medium.com/@breathingorangefire_71114/scattershooting-and-september-dreaming-while-waitng-for-the-correa-homecoming-3a2ac7b2cc42
  12. I’m all in on giving him 5 hitters to face before we declare him washed and incapable of being a help. apparently he’s walking enough guys to make Ullola blush down in Sugarland.
  13. But it was a terrible trade or something because you can’t pay him 72M for 3 full years plus a bonus playoff run. Some moron somewhere. Probably. now we will only get a 4th round draft pick instead of a 2nd round draft pick when Framber leaves.
  14. Would think he’s back after the road trip ends.
  15. Ex fucking zactly. This isn’t checkers or even long division. and now Sanchez is up again in an important position. if you stupidly play him against a left instead of Dubon and urias which is the right call, then fucking hit him 9th.
  16. Summer of George fellas, summer of George.
  17. Not only did that retard play Sanchez against a LHP but he hit him 6th. No big deal, just a disgusting AB with men On 1/2. We have a team full of LHP killers and that’s what he does? gross.
  18. Espada once again fails basic intelligence test hitting Sanchez against LHP. He has like a sub 10 ops+ against LHP. Dumb fuck.
  19. Also, if this defense is who we suspect they are they probably can hold every team in the country to 17 or less if they aren’t actively fucked over by the offense and special teams. Just because we get shut down doesn’t mean we aren’t going to average 40+ while also being able to score 24+ when it matters.
  20. That’s not good. Those guy are super plugged in and also don’t put stuff out there ahead of the staff. Bad omen.
  21. Let’s go 3 up 3 down on 3 pitches. Cam smith controlled the strike zone early in the season even when he was struggling. He’s just guessing now.
  22. Brian king as a leverage guy is dumb. Joe Espada the manager of the year fellas. such a dumb and lazy take. Dubin needs to be back and Sousa needs to be the 3rd leverage guy and dubin the 4th. King should never pitch up in a tight game. this is becoming Taylor Scott like. The first half of each season for them was found money. That’s not who either guy is.
  23. I mean, not really. He did win us the game last night though.
  24. That was a surprise. Really though it would be a slider bouncing in the other batters box that got him. Trammell about a week late there.
