Republican unity is one of their strengths, and it has led them to embrace dismantling our Constitutional Republic. Embracing disparate viewpoints must remain a Democratic strength. This is why Michigan Muslims have been mocked. Their focus on Palestine and Israel led them to make a choice they apparently now regret. Seeing the big picture would have brought them closer to their goal. I recognize their votes did not sway the election.
While I absolutely condemn Israel’s genocidal actions, and believe the party of Democrats should state it condemns genocide, and it will, imo, should the increasingly remote possibility of Democrats rule come to pass, the conversation should focus on how to make that possibility happen. Thinking big picture thoughts does not lead to this:
If/when Shapiro is campaigning for national office, then absolutely make him defend whatever position he holds on Palestine. Until then, keep in mind that opposition to the Republican regime is the most important issue. That is how the USA can one day assist Palestinians.
