  1. He’s been good rushing the passer but a liability reading/reacting, in both run and passing game. He’s a big step down in coverage and defending RPO.
  2. I want to hear the announcers talking about Herman and Aranda being bros - just as Texas goes 2-minute hurry up offense while up 40 in the middle of the 3rd quarter. A shot of Fedora yelling at Wickline would be a bonus.
  3. I want a close up of Fat Gare sweating a river with a 50 spot on the screen below his doughface.
  4. Liked this comment in his commit thread from AggieBeast12 :: “Good for him staying home. Respect that. Wish Texas Kids did that more“
  5. Aggy loses out on a OOS 6’3” CB. MJ Daniels stays home to play for the Pirate... https://247sports.com/Player/MJ-Daniels-46094154/

  7. I haven’t been able to understand his recruitment in any way from the beginning.
  8. Daymon David to Oregon :: https://247sports.com/Player/Daymon-David-46100257/
  9. Fong'd with a confidence of 8 and may be announcing very soon. Would be a huge get for OU.
  10. Other coaches and recruiters are pointing out Hand's failures in developing several highly rated guys at Texas, as well as pointing to the communication struggles the OL had last season and their inability to adjust in-game. That OU game featured Cosmi-Braun-Shackleford-Angilau-Kerstetter. If your OL coach can't make adjustments in-game with that group - a group that had played A LOT of football... Hand doesn't really have film to combat their arguments. His contemporaries/competitors do. Kerstetter is in his 3rd year with him and a 4 year guy, ditto Cosmi. Okafor 3rd with Hand and 5th in the program. Angilau, Ghirmai. Moore. Jones. (even Hookfin/Johnson). Those guys have had a lot of time in this program. The S&C program and diet is top-tier, the new OC is one of the best in the country. If the OL unit at this point isn't exemplary (and it certainly wasn't in 2019) it falls exclusively at Hand's feet. it's not a hard argument for the opposition to make. it is clearly a hard one to combat. He also fell way behind in the class and that is on him. He got Conner and that was/is HUGE. His work with the Brocks and his long dalliance with Foster led to absolutely nothing and in the process he fell behind in the relationship building with the rest of the 2021 class. Those relationships can help smooth things so that you aren't flat-footed in tougher conversations. Covid came and smashed his recruiting angle -- specific to his personality. (BBQ/camaraderie) Right now he needs for Hookfin/Jones to take over and be badass and for Angilau to continue to improve because the recruits have already been conditioned to note that Cosmi is a one-hit wonder and that his own internal fire/drive had more to do with his successes than Hand, and right or wrong it's coming at them from several sources. Perception/reality yada yada. His panic offers and misses to guys that should maybe be PWO candidates at a school like Texas only exacerbate the feel that he's struggling and doesn't have a plan - I haven't heard anything about that being a conversation point but I can say that if I was recruiting against him for anyone else in the 2021 class it would come up, so assume that it is. The struggles in 2021 have already put him behind in the relationship building for 2022 and as noted his style is severely hampered by the Zoom/Covid world. He's going to need the 2020 OL to be really good AND he's still going to need help. For sure. He is the coach most impacted by Covid - in terms of his style of recruiting.
  11. his OLs outside of Madison make it pretty clear his was a Jimmy's and Joe's not an X's and O's type of success.
  12. S for me. He can cover well and could play nickel - he’s a lot like the Duane Akina type DBs with position flexibility - but I think has a chance to be special at the FS spot. NFL athleticism mixed with an innate ability to take the right angles to the ball or man. he really shows this off in 7on7.
  13. It's real and it's horrific. She was the Seminoles burden for YEARS before she became the latest aggy albatross.
  14. Price works hard though, he's not as good and doesn't have the same hit rate that Elijah has but at least he works his ass off. LOTS of kids hear from him and like him. Dickey is a ghost. Robinson is cashing checks and has been since his most recent stint in the NFL. He's been at Texas, USC, and LSU -- all stops with HUGE intrinsic advantages and he's just coasted and has been replaced and no one is sad to see him go. Getting replaced while on the job by Faulk was an incredible red flag. He and Drayton both were dynamic recruiters before their NFL stints and both have coasted since returning to the college game. I get it, not recruiting and just doing the X's and O's part of the job is infinitely better. The problem is, a college RB coach needs to be a tireless recruiter. He needs to be mentioned by every recruit - not just the RBs. EVERY recruit. Samples, Traylor, Ish -- those types of dynamic recruiters. They both should go back to the NFL because they clearly don't have the taste for the recruiting fight anymore. FFS, Herman had to hire a guy to be a recruiter for our RB coach - it's mind-numbing but here we are. Seegars and Phillips. It's a 2 LB class - just a weird carried-over one. Hard for me to get a feel on Rushing because he seems to be doing a good job but he and Mo before him leaned heavily on/benefitted the most from Ish.
