  1. HammLite was fooled by a fake account and posted a story and text that Bobby Taylor had committed to aggy ::
  2. I think the portal would've been an even better alternative, but you had no counters. Roster mgmt issues at FSU caused some serious roster holes in Fisher's last 3 seasons in Tallahassee. He should be saving 2-3 counters a year for transfer portal guys and/or JUCOs instead of taking guys like RJ Orebo and Jordan Jefferson. He has shown a complete lack of attention to acquiring via the portal and has filled each class on counters, including counting forward for Phillips and Crownover.
  3. I think a few different things are at play that make it feel different. first, the OOS impact has taken a toll in the form of in-state kids having far less interest - esp those middle-tier players and clearly on defense. The in-state kids simply don't have friends or teammates on the roster so there's not a lot of guys waiting to pounce on that offer. the number of OOS offers to guys that seem less talented than kids in-state that don't have offers has exacerbated this feeling among recruits, so instead of filling out the aggy class or waiting for the aggy offer they are going to SMU, OkState, Baylor, etc ... Fisher is relying on Coach Ish, Craig, and Elijah completely. Robinson is a bad recruiter, replacing Graham with Robinson was a loss. Graham wasn't great but he was a million miles better than Robinson. Darrell Dickey has no impact on on the trail and since Fisher won't adjust his offense, he's an absolute waste of a coaching spot. That's no different from before but if he's going to waste a spread consulting spot on someone it might as well be a young gun that also recruits. Santucci got his guy in Seegers and then what? He should be mentioned by every defensive recruit with a pulse, but it's just Ish and Elijah over and over. In adding Coley you were supposed to replace Brewster and he was supposed to bring a South Florida influx. Coley hasn't cracked that egg while in College Station and recruiting South Florida, even at the best of times, is always going to be chaotic. Keeping those kids for 4 years is always incredibly difficult, even for schools like FSU, Miami, and UF.
  4. His composite issue lies in the Rivals OU bias. March 1 McCutching decommits from Alabama and silents to OU. He tells the OU staff that he will get Mukuba to commit as well. In this time period Mukuba's ranking goes from 64 in the state to 43 in the state on May 13th. Mukuba released a top 12 list on May 19th and did not include the Sooners. The next time that Rivals updated their rankings he fell to 56 in the state, unranked nationally. 247 has him as a 91 overall - 214 in the country. He started as an 85. ESPN has him as 33 in the state (194 in the country) and 83 overall (the same overall grade as Foster, Blackshire, Ketron, Quay, etc) a single point bump could move him as high as 15. I am bullish on Mukuba and think he should be a top 10-15 guy. So I think they all have him undervalued but it's Ferrell and Rivals that are doing him the biggest disservice and it's clear why. Fuck that guy.
  5. I'll go a step further. I think Mond is a good QB that could have developed into a really good QB. He's just trapped in a system that doesn't fit his skillset and with a contrarian coach who continues to recruit dual threat QBs and then try to force them to never use their legs. Not in the run game. Not in the passing game -- he keeps trying to recreate the Winston season but keeps the QBs from doing any of the Winston things. I think Mond would've absolutely killed it at K-State. If he was playing for Mahlzahn, Mullens, or Holgo he would look like a completely different QB. Just about every knock on Mond comes directly from Fisher himself or his system.
  6. There's no excuse in the 2022 class - but to further note the RB recruiting - they have offered 17 in 2021, 3 in Texas. Camar, LJ, and Ahmonte Watkins. 6 of the OOS RB offers in the 2021 class are 3* guys.
  7. There's a 7on7 team, that will remain nameless, in their groupchat they post DJ Khaled/another one gifs every time aggy offers an OOS kid. I don't even think the coaches and trainers are needed at this point.
  8. Oh hey, I guess the aggy coaches really don't want to look at the in-state RBs. they've offered another OOS RB, this one again from the NE. https://247sports.com/Player/Nicholas-Singleton-46084442/ @texifornia, @Hank_Hill, and @SydneyCarton --- that's 16 RB offers out. 2 in state. With the RB class that Texas is producing in 2022. CHEFSFUCKINGKISS dot GIF
  9. fantastic thread on aggy2247 :: Can we get to 36 PPG in 2020? (Stats included) :: some highlights :: First the premise -
  10. Indeed it was kool aid deluge but the thing that stood out to me, other than the expected over-the-top Loochness, was the number of injured guys. LOTS of guys that “missed some time”. Especially funny when at the same time they “clearly improved over last season” (as well stronger/faster) but also missed several days or more to injury.
  11. Elijah Jeudy decommits from UGA. He says he won’t commit until NSD but he’s aggy.
  12. If Donte Williams stays as CB coach Jackson will be at USC. That dude is a badass recruiter. Williams is basically home at USC, Culver high is like 15 minutes away. If he was to get a bigger/better job I think it would become a Texas/Clemson battle. He has job hopped A LOT, has DC aspirations, and is working for Orlando and Helton - home town or not. Nothing with Clay Helton, Todd Orlando, or USC is solid in my mind - and ESD/NSD 2022 is long way away.
  13. Andre Dollar to Oregon - appears that OU isn't going to offer (they've only offered 1 TE - Donovan Green) :: https://247sports.com/Player/Andre-Dollar-46086432/
  14. He's injured. I think they covered it in the pregame presser, but there's no nefarious subplot he just wasn't good to go. ** I think you can see him a few times on the LHN coverage - jersey but no pads.
  15. NSIAP - Thompson with the hookem on Coleman's offer tweet :: https://247sports.com/Player/Kevin-Coleman-46058557/
  16. for most guys I'd say he got some info from the UM guy that posted a CB a few days ago, but since it's Roach I assume that he was in a class with Xavion Alfrod and perhaps took some snaps vs. UTEP.
  17. Aggy has what 3 top 5 finishes all time? Bowden had 14 consecutive seasons finishing in the top 5. not even a contest.
  18. Ferrell with the flip of his Leigh pick from LSU back to OU
  19. I used Texas players for the examples - but you were damn close :: 70. Hudson Card - 95 145. Kitan Crawford - 94 172. Xavion Alford - 93
  20. Tarp has an article titled VIP notes and thoughts as Texas A&M comes off another scrimmage which appears to contain zero information from the scrimmage and instead is basically a depth chart summary that just about anyone on this board could've posted within reason. There are some gems in this summary though ...
  21. Unless he transfers out - he's not going to put it together. I've never seen a dude give less effort in practice clips in my life. He clearly DGAF and/or is always injured. Or both. When playing for TrueBuzz (7on7) he played against some of the best DBs in the nation and was just killing them. He was really good at finding dead spots in a zone and then going and plucking the ball. He's not amazing in the , but he was a guy that in a good system (assuming good effort and attention to detail in an offense that actually used his talents) would absolutely cause problems. He's big with decent quickness and good hops and had a really aggressive belief that each ball was his and went to the ball. He was very worthy of a top 200 ranking. Jimbo and Craig are about as bad a duo as possible for him. He needed to be pushed and engaged and he needed A LOT of work on details and technique.
  22. Wright and Preston should both be kicking ass by now. If they had gone just about anywhere else they'd already be stacking stats. Preston really should've hit the portal when his Manvel bros headed out of town. Holgo would certainly have loved to have him. Buckley's injury has a much bigger impact without Ausbon. Ausbon is way under-valued by aggy fans in general because he's slow and steady (read boring). The problem that they have is that they think removing Mond's security blanket, in Ausbon, will result in Mond getting the ball to their faster playmakers. The issue is that those faster playmakers haven't been getting separation - hence the need to go to the security blanket. He's like a budget Kwame Cavil and while it might not be as exciting as a dude housing a screen, guys like Cavil and Ausbon move the fucking chains. Their passing game is going to completely rely on Wydermeyer.
