  1. He didn't play varsity last year and didn't play LB either. He played DE for JV and basically just burst upfield on the snap of every play. The leader at this point is irrelevant because MOST teams are very much in a wait-and-see mode. I also think that the aggy leading is less fact and more Woodlands echo chamber because that's not my impression. We shall see.
  2. It sounds like he’s struggling and needs support, honestly. Lots of manic behaviors. I love him as a player and hope he can get some help.
  3. This game is motherfucking bonkers
  4. this sounds pretty fucking terrible. 5* Gentry Williams tore his ACL and meniscus. https://247sports.com/Player/Gentry-Williams-46076933/ Drumm :: Hope he heals up and is ready to go for track.
  5. I still can't figure Wright out at all. If he is constantly injured with shitty little nagging injuries, or if he just flat out DGAF. I say that because every single time you see him in an aggy video clip (and honestly, he's not in a ton) he looks like he's moving in quicksand and I don't mean he's slower than expected, I mean he looks like he's underwater and everyone else is not. I just remember the first time the 2019 practice vid was posted I said at the time, I've never seen slower feet on a skill position player in my life. Go to the 1:57 mark and watch all the WRs in this drill and look at Wright. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/video/first-texas-a-m-practice-of-2019-fall-camp/ I just don't know how this could be the same guy we saw in high school, the UAAA game etc...
  6. You're not alone. The mods on 247 have been asked but have never answered, and that along with this article make me suspicious. Was wondering if it was nagging injuries or perhaps COVID-related. Either way, Chibuzo was a RT with the 2s and within a few days was the C with the 1s, so ...
  7. Tarp with an interesting piece on Chibuzo at C. Could surprising Chibuzo hold down the fort at center for A&M? Pure uncut Jimbo ::
  8. Feels like the first of a pack of dudes from tOSU that will be declaring for the draft.
  9. holy shit. I guess they punted once saw him at gunner and pulled the stripe off right then?
  10. Fuck Todd Orlando. Of course we are going to see Sweat and Coburn together, Ash might be a meathead but he knows bigger/stronger/faster wins 1:1 and isn't going to get in the goddamn way (Looking at you Todd). It's not the 700 pounds of beef that is the real issue - it's that both of them possess incredible lateral quickness at that size. In other words? Put them inside with Ossai and Collins on the ends and ...
  11. It's a strange deal - we need 2-3 more OL in this class but I don't want any of the guys that are currently being targeted and am more than happy to see them go elsewhere. I guess I feel like Texas will eventually get back to the jumbo athlete takes and away from these marginal guys that Hand seems to be defaulting to this year. Guys that don't seem like they'd ever play a down here. It's frustrating as fuck to watch him flail about. I'm glad that Yurcich is starting to spend some cycles on OTs but now that the season is here, his recruiting time is going to be diminished. Jacoby Jackson would be a nice addition. Salvaging this 2021 mess into an OL class of Conner, Cade, Jackson, and Myslinski would be a decent turn of events. In a rolling 3 year view adding a couple of quality depth players (one with NFL potential) and at least 1 sure NFL player between the 2020 and 2022 classes would be a good turn of events from this fumbling. The key there is that the 2022 class is already spinning out of Hand's control again. It's past time to put a full time resource in place to recruit and build relationships for him - just like they did with Drayton.
  12. Pledger and Anton Harrison out for Saturday — sounds like more as well. Drumm :: There will be 5-6 players, some starters, out for OU. I am skiddish on naming the players. Want to discuss how we want to handle this info before the game. You want this to happen this week and next week before Kstate, if you’re OU. That’s the only positive way to look at it. The other good news, is that OU is getting closer and closer to running out of guys that can contract the virus. I’m guessing around half the team, maybe a bit more, has contracted it at some point between this spring/summer and now. I will add that Rattler has already had Covid so you won’t have to worry about him in contact tracing or covid issues, I’m told.
  13. If you take out your decoder ring and read Billy's reply to Boo Weekley, he's basically validating the entire thing. When Looch says "haven't been nearly as bad as what your friend is telling you" -- note that the OP didn't say how bad it was, just that it was bad/troubling with the chemistry/vibe, but Looch knows it's not nearly as bad as his friend is telling him? He clearly admits that practice has been sloppy - but that NOW it will be fixed. The other ones didn't count. fucking brutal.
  14. Fucking Nahlin. That was a lot of typing just to say that he thinks Tom Herman is a dick.
  15. Isn't Ausbon the one who went to IMG with Kellen Mond? If so, I'd maybe not shit on Ausbon too hard aggy fans, after the Sully situation this offseason ...
  16. Watch. This. Tape. REAL. RECRUITING. WHOOOOOOP stupid sip sleeping giant is awake POWER. MOVES. *** sorry, I don't know which aggy reply applies here.
  17. Bingo. Also backup C as well, he's after Chibuzo on the depth chart. He's 2020's Crash Jensen.
  18. You could go ahead and mark Buckley off as well - he's out for the year with an injury. Sucks for him as a SR. No idea if he will come back and/or grad transfer with this COVID year of eligibility.
  19. I thought so as well, but Tarp just confirmed that he was considering opting out.
  20. Looch just said Ausbon hasn't been practicing for two weeks.
