  1. that guy on reddit who sims every lunardi update has his latest: has Texas losing to Utah State round one, has marquette losing 61-50 to nevada in round two (lol), and as you can see has a final matchup that would dwarf last year’s final game for least watched final game ever.
  2. “he said i hit him?” ”yeah, it’s on video.” every vehicle in america should come standard with interior/exterior cams at this point. this dude is fortunate he had one.
  3. jokic, luka, SGA, tatum, giannis, embiid; who do you remove to make room for lebron?
  4. lebron with five threes in the 4Q, and it’s now a tie game after LAC was up 21 eight minutes ago.
  5. chris beard told his team this week that tonight’s game was for their tournament life. they know where they stand. even thinking about making the tournament as a goal for this season would have been absurd. that was never realistic for this team. this tweet acts like they’re dunking on beard and ole miss for their weak non-con schedule as if it’s coming back to haunt them now, when that schedule was exactly what that team needed. acting like this is news, or something to diss ole miss for is odd.
  6. yep, that’s an apt comparison. 👌🏻
  7. it bothers me that we still have people saying that rodney terry “led us to the elite 8”, because, well, no he didn’t. jabari rice led us there; marcus carr led us there; dylan disu led us there; our three point defense, one of RT’s biggest weaknesses as a coach, led us there. us going to the elite 8 got RT the job, but let’s stop acting like he did anything in particular to lead that team to those wins. the senior laden team who had been well drilled by their previous HC won those games.
  8. first one to a 15-point lead loses.
  9. kai is actually an nba level player, he just weirded himself out of the league. mitchell will have a long and decent career overseas. really too bad about kai.
  10. maybe for freshmen, or for guys who are still inexperienced. we are 5th in the country in D-1 experience with an average of 3.21 years played. playing stupid basketball, being volatile, being unpredictable, these should not be descriptors of a team with this much experience. also LOL at the idea that scott drew just started recruiting a more mentally strong type player and that’s why his program got good. give me a break. there are coaches who demand a certain level of competence, effort, and reliability from their players, and RT is not one of those guys.
  11. knecht is so fun to watch. one of the best players barnes has ever coached. possibly top 3.
  12. or not. two highly ranked, highly physical teams playing a crucial game on the cusp of march, and we’ve got 18 fouls called in the first 8:30 of the 2H, nine on each team. fucking officials are ruining this goddamn sport, and most every other sport i watch for that matter.
  13. pretty much. as a HC his teams have only been consistent at three things: •they don’t turn the ball over •they give up lots of offensive rebounds •they don’t get to the FT line so, of the three things that his teams consistently do, two of them are bad. pretty much everything else that kenpom tracks shows his teams to be all over the place. there’s no apparent identity or philosophy here.
  14. tony kornheiser and pablo torre destroying TTU on PTI today. it’s their #2 story of the day.
  15. anybody from around here remember jesse bynum? i’m pretty sure that was his name. played at westridge (?) MS and Connally HS. he was 6’6”-6’7” in 7th grade. i had to go all dennis rodman on him every time we played, because otherwise i just had no chance. i fouled out a lot tho. 🤷🏼‍♂️
  16. also hilarious is all of the TTU fans shit talking brock on social media by talking about how he’s going to be selling real estate or working at enterprise rent a car next year. anybody want to tell them? lol
  17. i loved how he wasn’t like, “guys, we’re classier than that, that’s not what we do around here”, he was like, “guys, we all want to throw stuff at them right now, but we’re going to get T’d up every time we do it, so even though throwing garbage at the Texas team just feels right, now is not the time.”
