  1. It looks like (for now) Jalen is actually willing to be coached by Ime and is much more active on offense and defense. It also helps when he actually tries to finish at the rim instead of flailing all over the place looking for a foul. Dude has incredible talent, but clearly has never played real basketball until this year. Huge failure by Silas and front office to leave him be his first two years. AAU and G League bullshit only gets you so far. Hopefully he gets it now and becomes a solid, consistent player on both ends. Cam is ridiculous. Must watch TV any time he enters the game and the Rockets bench stands up every time he gets the ball. His explosiveness at the rim reminds me of younger Lebron. It's incredible if true that his medicals are what dropped him to a late first round pick. Right now he's basically just a scorer, but I think the rest of his game will continue to improve. Jabari was very solid last night. Just needs to find consistency and bring it every night. A little concerned about his weight, would love to see him add 10+ pounds.
  2. "Touchdown, Aggies! Quanell X has done it again! Folks, Farrakahn has become the king of College Station and put Texas A&M back into the national conversation!" Aggie fans:
  3. Made the 4 team playoff, starting QB stays with Arch in the wings, killing the transfer portal and recruiting. An incredible run of great news and positivity over the last couple of months. One weird assistant coach hire and people are losing their minds. I think now we're officially "back". This was the moment.
  4. Lots of Fangio talk, lol. Funnily enough I've been playing golf recently with a recently retired NFL DB that played almost his whole career(7 years) for Vic Fangio. They are very close. Fangio tried to get him out of retirement and come to Miami this past year. I'm gonna bring this hire up when we play golf again next week and see if he can share any useful info.
  5. Outside of the fact that it's a positive for Texas, it's so fucking nice to have closure on the Harbaugh and Saban discourse after all these years.
  6. Hearing RC already installed new, state of the art fax machines in the athletic complex. The tide is turning.
  7. It's behind a paywall. Can you copy and paste?
  8. Without any insider knowledge, let's go through what Rod Wright and the Texans did this year. Firstly, Rod left Miami willingly to take the Houston Texans job as assistant DL coach. The "head' DL coach in Houston, Jacques Cesaire, was a holdover from Lovie Smith's staff in 2022. Don't think it's a stretch to say Demeco personally wanted Rod Wright added to his staff. The Texans gave up 3.5 YPC on defense this year, 2nd in the NFL. The previous year (2022) they gave up 5 yards per carry, which was 29th in the NFL. The Texans had a franchise record of 46 sacks this season. Will Anderson, who was seen on the sidelines in constant communication with Rod Wright, might win Defensive Rookie of the Year. By far the biggest improvement for Houston defensively was on the DL.
  9. Take it FWIW but here is a tidbit from Jason Suchomel a few days ago: While there continues to be smoke that Houston Texans assistant defensive line coach and former Texas All-American Rod Wright could become the new Texas defensive line coach, one source in the Texans organization was surprised by the suggestion when I asked about him on Thursday, although he was highly complimentary. "New Texas DL coach? We haven’t heard anything at all but we’re locked in on B’More," the source said. "If so, awesome get!! He’s been instrumental for these guys this year. EXTREMELY VALUABLE. Today, when they were going through walkthrough, he was leading the group…which is pretty awesome for a “defensive assistant”. The players and DeMeco can’t say enough about him. Great communicator and a major reason why our run defense/overall play has improved greatly."
  10. Agreed. We could theoretically get an excellent RB for this offensive system as a later round pick or UDFA. Be smart here.
  11. Sorry not sorry for posting this every time we get a Polynesian
