  1. I tried to watch a Horns247 show last night with Chip Brown and Eric Henry on YouTube. Oof. Don't know how they keep the lights on.
  2. I just looked up Quinn's longest TD plays of the season, and 4 out of the Top 5 came against FLA. 1. 50 yards to Wisner (throw back pass behind LOS) vs. FLA 2. 41 yards to Golden (short slant) vs. UGA 3. 34 yards to Bond (swing pass behind LOS) vs. FLA 4. 32 yards to Golden (deep pass) vs. FLA 5. 29 yards to Golden (fake swing pass, wide open downfield) vs. FLA
  3. My point is defenses are actually doing it vs. Texas. It's being done. On a pretty regular basis. We are turning the ball over, settling for FGs, and having trouble scoring TDs. The mission is being accomplished. We see it with our eyes, and the stats prove it as well. Unfortunately we don't capitalize on off-schedule plays very often, which can be a big part of offensive success if you just "take what the defense gives you" all game. It's not a strength for Quinn.
  4. They want to confuse him. Quinn doesn’t process well or quickly. Keep everything in front of them and tackle well. Force Texas into longer drives. Eliminate the big play, try to force FGs or turnovers. It’s not rocket science. And it’s clearly been working.
  5. Pate loves Texas. He picks us every week.
  6. That was a bad fumble, but in the middle of 15 straight minutes of assclown dumbfuckery by multiple Texas players. He's a true freshman. They make mistakes. He can only prove he can protect the ball if he gets the ball again. On the list of devastating or crucial turnovers committed by our players, his are way down the list.
  7. Arch touched the ball one time the following week vs. Georgia in OT, and it seems pretty clear Sark just wanted to get positive rushing yardage on 1st down and considered Arch the best option.
  8. We have only 3 legitimate options at RB. I like Wisner a lot. Don't think much of Blue as a ball carrier. Trying to create a physical and effective running attack almost strictly with Wisner seems foolish to me. He's a very solid RB, have liked him since Day 1 last year when he was a ST demon. He is not built to be a bellcow RB. Style wise, I think Wisner/Gibson can be an effective 1-2 punch. Our offense has been in neutral with struggles in the redzone for months (outside of the FLA game). It'd be nice to try something new.
  9. I still don't understand why we completely abandoned Jerrick Gibson in the rotation. Yeah, not a good pass blocker and had a little fumblitis later in the season, but that doesn't mean we couldn't have made him a red zone option. I mean, this timestamped series of plays is in Game 2 of the season vs. Michigan. 1st and 10 at the 20. Three Gibson runs, touchdown. Why did this end up being a random outlier?
  10. If Sark truly wants to establish a running game, throw it in the goddamn opening script. Almost every start of our games is all about throwing the ball. Every opposing defense is expecting it at this point. Against UGA last week this was our opening drive: Pass Pass Pass Pass Sack Run (on 2nd and long) INT If you're asking your O-line to be physical and dominate in the running game, maybe show your confidence in them by calling more running plays from the very start.
  11. We are entering the chem trails phase of modern technology. Cool.
  12. Now watching today's PC, and Sark was in a good mood and looked well rested. Bye week looks to have treated him well. LFG.
  13. Sure, but Clemson is the one playoff team playing with house money. They backed their way in to the ACC Championship and had a 56 yd FG to win it. They are the biggest underdogs in the 1st round. I expect them to play loose. Maybe it doesn't matter, we'll see.
  14. Same. Clemson really has nothing to lose. After the defeat to SC, Dabo was completely dejected at his post-game PC as Miami was up big vs. Syracuse at the time. Their playoff hopes were dead. Then Syracuse came back to win and Clemson snuck into the ACC championship game. The pressure is on Texas. We have to step up and play well on both sides of the ball.
  15. OMG they're still talking about Ewers on the Ewers thread!
  16. We have top men working on it right now.
  17. Whatever makes you feel better.
  18. We've had 8 plays this season go for 50+ yards (6 passes, 2 runs) 1. Quinn to Golden in the SEC championship game - 50 yards 2. Quinn to Wisner vs. Florida - 50 yard TD 3. Arch to De'Andre Moore vs. Miss St. - 50 yard TD 4. Arch to Bond vs. UTSA - 51 yard TD 5. Ryan Wingo end around run vs. Michigan - 55 yards 6. Arch to Bond vs. ULM - 56 yards 7. Arch run vs. UTSA - 67 yard TD 8. Arch to Wingo vs. UTSA - 75 yard TD
  19. One additional note from Gerry: I did confirm that a Texas message board poster that goes by Helobious is indeed on campus as well. He's been given free rein by the staff to hang around the facilities and it's possible he is sleeping there overnight as well. Not sure what his exact duties are but my source saw multiple members of the athletic training staff treating and icing down both of his forearms last night. Something to monitor.
  20. Guys, the secret visitor is Helobious. They set up a pallet for him under a table in the massage room for some contract cock jacking until the portal closes. Wake the fuck up.
  21. Been off social media for a while and don't watch the news these days, so this thread is my introduction to this breaking "news". Looks like society is getting shittier at a much faster rate than even a month ago. We had a good run, the DumbFuckening has begun.
  22. Moore had 9/114 and our only TD vs. Georgia.
  23. This offense not being in rhythm has just become the norm at this point. Everyone points to the Florida game as an example where our offense and Quinn looked great, but go watch that game again. The results/stats are awesome, but it was all just kinda ugly. Quinn throws a good deep ball to Moore, dropped. Same series, Quinn misses an open Moore for a big gain. Later Moore dropped another great deep ball for a TD. We can't convert the easy stuff, but make big plays on short passes that broke free for huge gains. It helped that UF overall really seemed to lay down that day. Quinn racked up a lot of yards and we were up 49-0 early 3rd quarter. But the offense still looked disjointed.
  24. Sark seems more reserved in interviews the last couple of weeks, even before the UGA game. Maybe he's exhausted at this time of year with coaching/recruiting/portal hitting all at once. Would be completely understandable. But it's noticeable.
