  1. I believe runthebone is talking about more designed rollouts. And I agree.
  2. Good post and I agree with a lot of it. The best case scenario for our program is/was for Ewers to start this year and Arch take over next year. But now we entering the part of the season where shit gets real. We must beat Kentucky and A&M, and get to the SEC championship game. Our schedule played out nicely this year, we have great players/depth all over the field, and QB play is gonna dictate how far we go. TBH, throwing Arch in for last 3 1st half series of the UGA game felt like a total panic move in real time to me. I thought he would at least wait until halftime to make a QB decision, but it came early. I doubt Arch was mentally prepared to come in that game outside of a Quinn injury. It was a tough situation for all involved. I just don't want that shitshow to happen again. If Sark has any doubts about QE's ability to handle Kyle Field, he and the team need to be ready to fully replace him in-game with Arch if needed. We need a clear contingency plan.
  3. Since he already opened Pandora's Box by desperately bringing in Arch vs. Georgia, here is what I'm hoping for: Sark, the staff, and the players need to be fully prepared pre-game and in the previous week of practice for Arch to come in if Quinn crumbles under the lights in College Station. Really we should be preparing for it next week before the Kentucky game as well. It's not hyperbole to believe that the A&M game will be an insane atmosphere. If QE has the same deer in the headlights look like the UGA game, we need to be better prepared to replace him with Arch. We cannot lose that game, period. Whatever it takes. But be ready this time.
  4. Defenses have made adjustments. Michigan played straight up Cover 3 the entire game with no disguises and Quinn picked them apart with short/intermediate throws. Throw that game out the window as that's not gonna happen again. He played great vs. Alabama last year. Fact. Clearly, it was an outlier performance. It's not physical with Quinn, it's all mental. Everything he does (outside of 1st read quick releases) is a tick too slow. And the deep ball bugaboo has started to infect the WRs (see Moore last week). In week 10 of his 3rd year as a starter, we cannot go downfield. It's ridiculous. Sark deserves his share of the blame as well.
  5. There's an interesting phenomenon regarding Arch with Texas fans right now. FTR, I was always about Ewers starting this year and Arch taking over next year. Arch looked miles better in the Spring game this year though, and it was clear he already made a big leap from his freshman year. Arch had 5 touchdowns in about 20 minutes vs. UTSA. He was off early against ULM but finished strong. I think a lot of people dismissed his performance vs. Miss State the following week due to the score being close until the 4th quarter. Go watch that game again. Arch was really good. Fumbles by Blue and a shit ton of offensive penalties is what kept that game close. For a guy who had unreal hype, Arch is now actually being underrated by the fanbase. Watch the tape. Watch the footwork. Watch the urgency he plays with. Watch the quick release. Watch the deep balls. Watch the intensity and excitement. The QB situation is what it is. If Ewers went down with a season ending injury vs. UTSA, I promise you this offense would be way more dangerous and explosive right now with a seasoned Arch at the helm. And I'd guess we'd still have the same W/L record.
  6. In defense of the O-line, their job is much hard when defenses can just decide to sell out on anything in front of them.
  7. Just let those heavies do the talking and she'll be the best Press Secretary in American history.
  8. He could do more with our very own backup QB than SS.
  9. Barron was a monster in 1st half. Collins with the play of the game. Simmons getting in the backfield again. Taaffe solid as always. They deserved to boost their sack/TFL stats in 2nd half, too bad our offense kept Ark in the game.
  10. Golden passed the eye test from Day 1. Love him.
  11. No matter what happens the rest of the game, we lose. Either we actually lose, or we stick with this bullshit moving forward. If you told me right now Arch takes over with a loss to Arky, I take it.
  12. It helps that the defense can play everything in front of them.
  13. And to make it worse, everything he is bad at is a strength for Arch. Footwork, pocket presence, mobility, toughness, deep ball.
  14. The bullet points for why Dems lost need to be dumbed down a lot. Still giving most voters way too much credit.
  15. Yes, please hire Dan Mullen.
  16. You're reading way too much into this.
  17. Life was better when JerryWorld didn't exist.
  18. This is almost as boring as everything else on Netflix.
  19. The only reason I have Netflix is for my kid. It's been dogshit for years and I hope they suffer.
  20. I will not stream this fight. Watching Netflix burn to the ground in real time will be much more entertaining.
