  1. Saw another video where a guy without an internal monologue was asked if he gets songs stuck in his head. He said yes, but he only hears the instrumentation, not the voice or lyrics.
  2. I feel like such a shitbag because it can come off as disrespectful. One time I ran into someone I hadn't seen in a while, didn't remember their name, and they called me out on it. I apologized and off the cuff said "Your face is who you are, your name was just something given to you." I think they took it as a compliment, which was the intention.
  3. I feel like I can remember every face I've interacted with. But I have to be incredibly intentional to remember someone's name, even if they just introduced themselves one minute prior. Way too much going on in my head and a horrible habit I've had trouble kicking.
  4. Makes sense. No doubt I would be a much better golfer if I didn't have an internal monologue, lol.
  5. I think this is right. The reason I immediately though of my friend's wife is because she never seems offended, never seems anxious, and she's constantly on the move. Everything needs to explicitly be put in front of her in order to have a reaction or response. She's just not thinking about stuff in her head. And she's an intelligent, successful woman that started her own company.
  6. I saw a clip of the video below on Twitter a year or two ago, and was absolutely blown away that a significant portion of people do not have an internal monologue. After viewing it, I tried to think of a close friend that might "think" this way, an immediately thought of the wife of one of my best friends. I talked to him about it, and after some discussion within the family, he confirmed that his wife and teenage son do not have an internal monologue. My intention is not to be judgmental or negatively critical about it (shit, in many ways I'm jealous), but I think it can be an important revelation to understand people close to you or that you interact with on a consistent basis. My buddy and his wife have had typical marriage problems in the past, and I think this surprising fact has really helped them understand each other more and get in a better place relationship-wise. Based on the limited information I've read, the most common traits of people without an internal monologue are: - In their dreams, people don't speak - Anxiety/depression are manifested physically, as they don't have an inner voice that amplifies or creates it. - They see words/sentences when reading, but don't hear them. I think this is an absolutely fascinating subject and I'm way more cognizant of it now. I think it can only be helpful if more people talked about it.
  7. Credit to this dude for talking out loud and having a lightbulb moment, but JFC.
  8. This fucking twerp needs his comeuppance as well.
  9. Trumpers are trying to convince you the Biden "garbage" comment is a big deal. Puerto Ricans have made it clear that Hinchcliffe's "garbage" comment is a big deal.
  10. He called Hinchliffe garbage. If you wanna fall for MAGA bullshit, that's on you. But I agree he needs to shut the fuck up for the next 6 days.
  11. Enough with the fucking concern trolling. He did not call Trump voters garbage, it's been shown on this thread it was taken out of context, the media is gonna do whatever they fucking want to get clicks. JFC.
  12. Gosh, I'm just SHOCKED that Wesley Hunt posted a misleading and shortened clip!
  13. These people have sided with a wannabe dictator. If Kamala wins, they can move to the fucking left or stay with whatever monstrosity follows Trump.
  14. JD Vance does not deserve an abbreviation. It's too bad we already gave Vulvarine to Ted Cruz, because it fits perfectly for Vance as well.
  15. Megyn Kelly is a fucking cunt and should be publicly shamed the rest of her life.
  16. No line at the Hilton on Post Oak in Houston. In and out in 5 minutes. Straight D ticket. I voted against three people in local elections that I've known a long time. If you support or are sympathetic to Trump, you're not getting my vote. Simple as that.
  17. I agree. We don't know what's gonna happen yet, but it sure is depressing that "the most important election of our lifetime" could be won by a candidate that has exhausted even his own supporters at this point.
  18. A week before the election in a swing state. This, apparently, is what winning looks like in America now.
  19. "Speaking Russki with Girdusky" was just greenlit and debuts January 2025.
  20. Abby Phillip's show is a shitshow every night. Giving MAGA Republicans a platform with equal speaking time in a panel discussion...disgraceful. CNN is deeply unserious and craves shock value to keep the lights on.
  21. You shouldn't. It's cynical nonsense.
  22. Right now it's sticking and the Election is only 8 days away. Trump can get away with murder and flood the zone with BS everyday, but this piece of shit comedian touched a nerve.
  23. Just want to say that DeAndre Moore is quickly becoming one of my favorite players. Team guy and works his ass off on the field. Plus he's legitimately a badass. Dude is gonna EAT next year with more targets.
