  1. Not his first brush with the law. He got kicked out of TCU when Gary was HC which was pretty damn tough thing to do at the time.
  2. The other footnote to this is the some of the private schools in the state (I am looking at you TCU and SMU) instead of being more generous in their scholarship offerings to these very kids instead have targeted those whose parents can pay full bill while the schools continue to raise costs. One of the biggest issues TCU has had in building their alumni base is over the past couple of decades damn near all their grads are first generation TCU grads as kids of TCU families have been priced out of attending the school.
  3. The bigger certainty, in my mind at least, are institutional cheating through rev share scams and the newer NIL big swinging dicks not named Texas just continuing to do whatever the fuck they want to do and the NCAA/House clearinghouse police not doing a damned thing about it, Fixed it for you and this entire NCAA/House clearinghouse is one of the biggest much ado about nothing things in recent years and only highlights how out of touch the supposed powers that be are about the issues facing college sports.
  4. Not the point, the idea that only women are petty when there are multiple examples of feuds and pettiness in the NBA.
  5. There might be some things better being a baseball fan, but there aren't too many more enjoyable things than tea bagging the Dodgers in front of their own fan base. Altuve once again delivers a huge fuck you . Only way this could have been better is the gambler actually be held accountable.
  6. Not as if a group of men would freeze someone out on the court or say, block another player from being included on an Olympic team.
  7. You are being a bit harsh with your description of John McClain.
  8. A huge advantage if you are a privately held company with a small board or a board that is all in agreement. Example, the CEO of Nike is a TCU alum, he has been a higher up for years, has a great relationship with Phil, and Elliott has been on TCU's board of trustees and a big donor for the school. He and his wife recently funded a a new dorm I believe in the Greek area of campus. I am pretty sure that while Elliott will do whatever he can to help TCU athletics, but their board and shareholders wouldn't be happy if he used Nike as a tool to fund the Frog's NIL program.
  9. The one big difference is that with a portal tackle you have tape on how they have faired against college defensive linemen and shown their ability in college run blocking and pass pro schemes. High school tackles commonly don't face D1 level defensive linemen and can get by simply off size, strength, and athletic ability. His high school has won 1 game in the last two years so I don't Felix is facing high level prospects in practice and while their district includes North Crowley once again he isn't seeing a constant stream of defensive ends heading to the SEC. He is going to see more 5' 11" 230 defensive ends who arses he damn well better kick if he is what he is supposed to be and I don't care about how he has done against highly rated defensive line prospects in pass rush drills in shorts and t-shirts. Every school would love to have Felix as a prospect, but that isn't the question. The question is if you are going to commit over $1.5M a year for 3 years he not only better start yeart 1, he better be above average and that is really rare for true freshmen offensive tackles.
  10. You don't think Ojo isn't going to take some serious shit if and when he gets his ass worn out in practice by an older, bigger, stronger, defensive lineman. Have no idea about Ojo's background, but Turntine is by all reports a very good kid, grounded, and been raised to know you get what you work for in the game and life.
  11. Posting that number publicly is a recipe for some bad feelings in the locker room.
  12. Fuck Tech and fuck Joey Football.
  13. He will channel Connery and play a Spaniard with an Aussie accent similar to Connery's Welsh accent.
  14. See you still aren't sure which is which.
  15. Thinking the same thing. Might not agree with, but understand the decision to play the outfield so deep in the 9th last night. Also understand easier to prove a point in hindsight, but breaking the infield with the Rockies up in the bottom of the 4TH sure seemed to be Espada inviting this response from the baseball gawds:
  16. Word is Russell Crowe will be reprising this role.
  17. Gusto is from Riverside.
  18. Beating the Rockies is the equivalent of a November game against a directional school. If you are going to be in the SEC then post like it.
  19. Makes perfect sense that if you are Max, do you trust Red Bull to put you in a competitive car next season? They lost serious brain power in Rob Marshall and Adrian Newey (who is a freaking design savant) and while Red Bull is making their PU's now, those are basically the Honda engine that they are manufacturing. How confident would any driver be if you are going into a phase of a new PU where the design now must pull 50% of the power from the battery side, one manufacturer has never truly designed a PU and their manufacturing partner is a company that hasn't been in F1 if 4 decades and hasn't exactly crushed battery design on their production cars.
  20. Construction to start I believe next week on sets for the reboot.
  21. Isn't the caveat, "when she is trying to look hot" the same as "looks good after I have had a 12-pack"? I would truly hope that someone looks good when they are trying to look good.
  22. Perezchica is the bizarro Gary Pettis.
  23. After watching that home run float out I am curious if Tech really improved their coaching staff by bringing on a pitching coach from the Rockies system.
