  1. How the fuck is this even possible? Seriously you can't book a ticket from Seattle to Houston?
  2. Hmmmm...."Smith said that coaches with the Cowboys have expressed that Blue is “borderline lazy” and that the team is not thrilled with his work habits." Add in a comment or two about interfering family members telling Blue he needs to look out for himself and this could be his junior year at Klein Cain all over again.
  3. Having spent time in Lubbock and Ft. Worth that reasoning sounds perfectly logical to me.
  4. Don't think NBA, MLB, or NFL players received a penny of the expansion fees paid when their leagues added teams, but could be wrong on that. Isn't that the advantage of actually owning the business versus being an employee of the business?
  5. Curious, if I buy a stock for $20 a share and still own that stock when it is $300 a share I don't have anymore money in my bank account to pay my bills unless I either sell the stock or generate more income. Additionally, one could argue that compared to teachers, the military, first responders, Caitlin is paid more which brings us back to the question is the league bringing in more revenue.
  6. That was understandable based upon how the head to head played out. Jokes aside, TCU brought little to Big 12 and that has been part of the problem.
  7. We went and saw it with our daughter, all agreed it felt as if they had a bingo card of stereotypes they need to play up in the characters and situations. Not the worst thing I have seen lately ,btu not really worth thinking too much about afterwards either.
  8. Fuck no, the split really isn't that much per team long term, they don't really add anything to what is already in the conference which has too many damn teams in the first place. Adding schools just to add them has created a scheduling train wreck in damn near each conference and more is not the answer.
  9. PFF has become dog shit.
  10. As an alum from a school that never truly said what Gary Patterson truly was ever compensated i fully recognize sometimes there are things that aren't posted and maybe this is a situation where she is getting paid significantly more than what the players are paid in the league. Doubt you can go to Glass Door and check what the salary range for that position. Wearing those fucking t-shirts was showed just how out of their depth the players are in this matter and they need to find their Marvin Miller or be willing to walk and take the hit for a period of time, but whatever they do don't point to what the NBA players are making because that isn't the argument and that only brings back more attention to the fact right now you are a niche' sport.
  11. ESPN could simply stop running the games now and show old 30 for 30's and only a small segment would notice.
  12. Sounds like college sports to me. The commissioner retired from Deloitte at 55 and I would suspect she doesn't need a significant salary which is why she was perfect for the job. I would guess the disparity between Joey Football's compensation and the revenue sharing at Tech is a bigger multiple than the WNBA commissioner and Clark's salary. Might be wrong, but I don't think the WNBA is paying their commissioner $3.2M.
  13. If Greenberg and Passan are still getting air time they haven't cut deep enough, the Mouse really needs to dig down.
  14. Not their best work, but good for pre-season work.
  15. The strongest opener of the season and in quite some time. Agreed, great episode and might be proof less is more.
  16. This, they are "owed" a damn thing. They don't want to be paid based upon the revenue they generate as is the case with the NBA, NFL, MLB etc.... but paid what they think they are worth which they can ask for and the WNBA owners most likely will tell them to pound sand. So, how badly do they want to get paid what they are "owed"? Willing to strike when the play-offs come around or is it too big a risk ESPN will simply slide in replays of the 2023 World Axe Throwing Championships and Dodgeball.
  17. Nah, once again in "kids'" games, it is the adults in charge fucking everything up.
  18. Not even close which is why I said it was low hanging fruit. Not very many comedians don't make fun of people in their audiences, hell, junior high kids have this perfected which is why once again, I called it low hanging fruit.
  19. Where did I say I was offended by him? Didn't, what I said is I don't find him funny, that I don't find the things he has said in his in his comedy, and he tends to go for low hanging fruit, but believe what you want. You admittedly live in your own little world and I really don't give a shit if he has a doctorate in advanced sciences. Sounds like he would do great on celebrity Jeopardy. Would close by telling you to fuck off, but I really feel sorry for you. Seems you crave the attention so much you create strawmen that fit the discussions you supposedly have, but never happened. Truly wish you the best.
  20. Ronnie has said he wouldn't do that again based upon the pain and how poorly he played in the game. I mentioned Owens in that Super Bowl game because for 7 weeks he would sleep in that hyperbolic chamber he bought, he did the treatment with the magnets, the guy was flipping over ever fucking rock to come back from a damn serious injury and went 9 catches for 120+ yards against the Pats. It isn't just Yordan, 5 weeks for a fucking sprain ankle hurt playing in the outfield. These aren't exactly the softball fields I played intramurals on in college with the big ass cracks in them because they were never watered.
  21. Alvarez is from Cuba and we all know how Jobu came through for Pedro. I agree on the medical question, if I remember correctly he already has had the microfracture surgery done on a knee which is something I wouldn't have expected in a fairly young baseball player.
