  1. The fallacy here is context. Gross numbers makes California, New York and Florida “big talent pools”. Florida is. Southern Cali is also. Northern Cali and New York? Not. The real issue is what’s the nature of the pool. Do they have the grit, local support and coaching to excel. Texas has best coaches pool by gross numbers. Raw talent plus coaching breeds excellence. And then there’s that undefinable “something” that makes a gamer! Too much analytics and ignoring or slighting “gamers” are a common mistake at all levels. See (D. J. Lotsa vowels, Chris Simms, etc. here v Max Duggan, Major Applewhite and Stetson Bennet. I love college football.
  2. Now THAT is a great question. Are we sure our entitlement (trigger word) mentality doesn’t flow through the fan base, ESP including the BMDs into fking up our athletes. A few actually stay hungry. Most just glide around Austin … since it’s the “coolest” place I the world. “Angry men win football games.” Darrell Royal we provide rat poison by the ton for these players. Nothing is THEIR fault. We blame and fire coaches at an alarming rate. The little darlings aren’t EVER at fault *** (unless it’s aQB.)
  3. The glacially off tackle right runs w Bijan …. The ones tcu stuffed all night, why did we keep trying that? How many times did we run Bijan left? He could have CUT left several times because the linemen and backers, both O and D, were right of the center. He’s gonna have to ru to daylight, because these dudes are not opening holes. Ewers miss of Bijan for the TD makes be ragey. Our D feel asleep two times for SEVEN points each. Our defense scored 7 once. Failed punt blocks were costly, the last one cost 7. BTW, margin of loss. Ewers was awful. Receivers didn’t help but he was awful the last several games. I’m pissed. I want to lie, the guy but he’s some kinda rattled. He doesn’t need to grow up on our dime. We needed beetr this year. We’ve actually got some players playing hard.
  4. Oops. What about MoC? Last time he was on GameDay was before he became Professor wasn’t it?
  5. What Minister of Culture? Alright ….
  6. It’s not like this isn’t “coached”. Bijan’s long run 1sr half should have been TD but he wandered back left instead of heading for far goal line. Like Rojo’s fumble, they both thought they were faster than their pursuers. It’s one thing to be a teacher. The student, however, must execute the learning. As I’ve said, love our players (well most of them) but they are young men who do make erroneous decisions. It’s costly. In games. I haven’t heard a lot of off field stuff by the players under this staff. Maybe our culture is getting better. Winning tough games breeds tough teams. I believe we’re getting there. Only time will tell.
  7. The difference between Sark and Herman is the difference between apples and road apples. Both have the word “coach” in their titles. Very different people.
  8. Yeah. Good point. And our last year starting QB portaled to start at Neb. How’s that working for everybody? I’m liking our team.
  9. Gosh. Maybe arrogant lil Herman was wrong? Maybe momentum IS a real thing! Maybe these bitchass teams throw their who,e world at us to win …. And having won their “mini-bowl game” they come back to earth. Maybe our guys beat a hurting osu team up so juicy they got crushed by, wait for it, the team we beat last night. On the road. At night. And they are extremely well coached and, for you “disciples fans out there, very disciplined. We beat them. Enjoy it, until CDC calls y’all to come coach. I pay my money, and have the right to bitch too. But some of y’all need to get a fucking life! Surly should surly but have some fun with it. You sound like this year’s Democrats. Uh oh. 😳. I know. I’ll go sit by myself in the CR.
  10. 3rd and Longhorn has become a thing. For years and years. Cost us the LSU game 2019, numerous other games by extending drives that were doomed. We also have committed penalties (usually DBs) that extended drives for 10+ years. Chykie Brown literally made a (bad) career of it. Anyway, the schemes matter, play calls matter, but we gotta get mentally and characterologically tougher to become champions again. It’ll be hard during NIL transition, but some teams will do it. Believe it will be us!
  11. Yeah I’m really mad at Sark for calling the Rojo fumble play too 😡. Is it possible the players actually turtle and choke?. Not happy with our lack of adjustments but last night was on the players missing plays. Ewers has JWhit for 6 and misses seeing him. Worthy’s lackadaisical ball security They are college football players. They do stupid stuff a lot. Much better effort than I’ve seen in 10 years…check that…since Mack “quit” in 2011.
  12. “Hey kid, have cigar you’re gonna go far!”
  13. Strange but true. Same thing for Cedric Benson. Chris Simms too. Bad times to have bad games. If you wanna be a Longhorn Legend. .
  14. If Xavier could or would learn ball adjustment skills … he’d not only help out his QB and the team, he’d be mentioned with those greats of the past. Has any receiver EVER been targeted 17 TIMES in one game. Maybe Ship but I doubt it. I’m baffled that Worthy solid on punt receptions, but cannot (will not) adjust to errant balls that might be catchable by a talented CLUTCH receiver. He’s got a very high ceiling. Hope he gets there at UT.
  15. Wow. This hurts. But its true for comparison purposes today only.
  16. Uh. Yes. Bench him for at least two series. Let’s see how Card moves the team. It won a game for Clemson today!
  17. Hook em to Deryl’s fam. RIP.
  18. Dozens of games. Every week. House wins over time. Casinos don’t go broke.
  19. Just a quick note. Last week and previous press conferences it’s the press morons are all “Steve…..blah blah blah.” This week it’s “Coach”! Did anyone else notice that?
  20. I wonder which shoulder is hurt. He’s not quite right.
  21. Have you noticed the line run blocking?
  22. That’s an outright lie! It’s a bullshit call (inset gif of Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny here) Harris’ eyes were big as saucers watching O coming at him like a hurricane. So scared he peed himself and had to leave the field to change pants.
  23. I agree Traylor outfoxed the Horns for 1.5 quarters. Ummm. Seems like, after that we shut them down all second half (3 pts?) and found ways (coaching) for our playmakers to win by 21. You are correct about Watts. He seems to be the new Chykie Brown. Great hitter but can’t cover a headstone. We did win tho. Big.
