in Houston it seems like we still have too many “essential” businesses that should be closed. I’m working from home, so I mainly can see that home services and construction appear to be business as usual. Perhaps the chances of the lawn crew spreading covid-19 are extremely low but they’re all in a truck together. As they spread it among their families, it may lead to one less ventilator being available.
i do realize that it’s easy for me to be saying that when my company is still paying me a full salary to work from home. If they told me that the only option to get paid was to be at the office, admittedly I might go in.
i also drove by a park on a trip to the pharmacy on Thursday. The walking paths were packed and I saw at least a few picnics.
Same for me, I still get my pay since I work from home anyways. My wife and I take our two daughters for a walk on the community trail every afternoon. Saw some young teens playing HORSE, wearing gloves, at the community bball courts that the HOA said was closed.
Those walks are the only thing that gives us a piece of normalcy in our days.

I don't get why Cal, utah, oregon st, washington state and even colorado get a pass for a merger. If we are trimming down from the current conferences, Iowa St on paper is better than those schools in sports generally.
SC, ucla, asu, az, uw, or, stan, utah
UT, TT, ou, okie, Iowa St, kansas, ksu, TCU
If Nebraska really wants back they can take TCUs spot..let UT/SC decide if colorado is a better take than Utah.

Glad to see Clayton Smith is a priority. I'd also hope Blackwell, Nwokabio, Byrd, Washington, Knox, are being prioritized. Also Burris as well.
now you're getting bold, sir.

Yes - He might have been born in San Antonio. His mom is from there and her side of the family is still there.
based on Suchomel's last podcast, he's always liked Texas but didn't know that they recruited out of state... that said I believe he has CBs to Bama.

Bowlsby is an idiot for not allowing Virtual coaching. This conference is CURSED when it comes to commissioners.. But then again it could be worse, right?

$100 says they have more cancellations than sales.
hell why don't we make it $100,000,000,003.50?

I wonder how season ticket sales are going?
slow, but I have it on good authority that they will be sold out by the end of April.

Think I'd rather the GORs to expire so WVU, baylor can get lost once a merger or new conference is formed. I hate pods. Rather have two 8 team divisions.

IT Humidor - recruiting bit (Wells/Nahlin)
While we expect the staff to continue making out-of-state overtures in recruiting, there’s a common belief that it will be tough to get players to leave far from home.
Personally, I think it’s a little too early to buy into that, but they have to get as many out-of-state targets on campus as possible whenever allowed to have a chance.
The good news is the staff was able to gain footing or cement it’s place with a number of instate priorities before the virus hit the fan.
Instate guys we feel confident calling priorities are:
QBs Sawyer Robertson and Garrett Nussmeier
RB Camar Wheaton and LJ Johnson
WR JoJo Earle
TE Elijah Arroyo and Landen King
OL Team Brockermeyer and Bryce Foster
DL Landon Jackson, Shemar Turner, Jordon Thomas, Clayton Smith
LB Terrence Cooks
DB Ishmael Ibraheem, Andrew MukubaThis isn’t an official list and it isn’t to say they don’t want other prospects.
We do think emphasis will be placed a little more on instate prospects.
wow what an update, IT!!
I would like to Bash it but hell man I need any info, even if it's a no shit update, thanks for posting this Ricky.

No oos options will be a problem for us at db. No relationships built with 2nd tier options in state which means we must land the top of our board. If we don’t, it will look like wr in 2020. Chasing projects at the last minute.
Means the staff has to do what it can to get atleast one of Ibraheem or Washington in this class. 2022 class is stacked with DBs, but we need atleast one of those players for 2021 .

Brandon Campbell with another CB to SC from an SC mod
SC must be selling him on the fact that they will be joining the Big 12 conference and he can start vs Texas in 2024

I have idiot young family members/friends that support DT because he's gonna give them some $$$$. Now I know how my parents felt about me 20 years ago

Gabe Brooks put in a Texas pick for RB Jaydon Blue.
If there is no 2020 CFB season.. Wouldn't Blue be the #1 RB in the state regardless if Wheaton or Johnson were in the same class? MENSA?

I'm really confident that we will have a really special season as long as we are allowed a season of course.

North: TCU, OU, OSU, KU, KSU, ISU, WVU
South: BU, UT, TTU, UA, ASU, USC, UCLA
North schools have a media/recruiting presence in DFW via TCU. They also get the cross-over games in Texas and CA for recruiting exposure. OU has the division game with TCU and a permanent cross-over game with UT. I think with the money, you could get everyone to sign off on it.
Long term, Nebraska is obviously a better fit in this alignment than WVU. So maybe we see what we can work out on that front if we can make the PAC raid part happen first. That move back to the Big 12 is not such a hard sell with the Huskers once you have USC on board. Conference games in both Texas and CA, and a renewed annual game with OU, is their dream outcome. This is the best set up I've seen if we only add 4 schools. With a 9 conference game schedule, 6 vs division, 1 permanent (ou), and 2 cross divisional games. It would be nice if aggy came back to the table to renew the turkey day series, if not bu or tech will fill that black Friday game.

Were the 91-94 Texas Teams competing for MNCs?

Yeah, that would be an issue, I do not remember how I had all the teams set in XII south (& PAC south) to keep that game intact...
It's tough without actually having SC plus 7 of their friends in one division, while UT and ou with six others in the other. I also think SC, OR want the money and they will bolt if they hear the number they want. So even if they bring 4 others to bring the total to 6 ex Pac schools.. the divisions will be wonky. It's why I feel that the best case scenario is for SC and UT/ou decide to create a new conference which takes 8 of the best Pac schools and 8 of the best Big 12 schools.. keep them in their respective divisions.

My idea:
PXC north -
Washington
Oregon
California
Utah
Colorado
Oklahoma State
Kansas
Iowa State
PXC south -
USC
UCLA
Arizona
Ärizona State
Oklahoma
Texas
Texas Tech
TCUhow would okie light work without being with ou? Play 9 conference games, 7 games in the division, Bedlam and only 1 cross divisional game? So play Texas once every 7 years?

Yeah the division split would suck.. Think the best case scenario would be a new conference with SC and UT headlining it. Taking 7 members of the current Pac and Big 12 to join them.

What about the 4th Texas school?
they can go fuck themselves

Yep.. Bring SC, UCLA, AZ, ASU. I doubt the current Big 12 breaks up..
What's gonna suck is the division making.. If the three Texas schools pair up with those 4 coming from the Pac..Have a feeling ou would bitch and whine.
BTW if indeed no way we'd ever join the SEC mantra is true.. I still would love to add Tulane.
