Honestly, the only hope Texas has of making the playoff is to recruit lights out. We haven't had a coach that can adequately develop talent since Darrell Royal so we have to win on talent alone, a la Vince Young. Once the recruiting slips, it's lights out. I think Herman signed his pink slip with the birdie to the camera.
the middle finger? Really? I think it's his choices of staff that have burned him..but yeah lets go with the middle finger here.

I'm not sure Dylan Wright can be accused of being a head case. I don't remember any of that. He is just a guy we thought we had, and then he got bought straight up and went to aTm. That's not a head case to me, just a kid who got paid.
If memory serves Trejan Bridges had some red flags. I don't think it was necessarily being thuggish, though, although I could be misremembering. I thought it was the fact that he was real close to being functionally retarded. So, yeah, not sure I see that guy being someone who is going to transfer out. That and he's going to get plenty of chances to showcase at OU. Wright might be an option, I guess, if he comes in and gets passed immediately by Demas. But he would have to play this year, be dissatisfied, transfer, sit out a year, etc. In short, none of your proposes seems like it's going to be giving us any immediate help any time soon.
The level at which we're sucking hind tit and taint at WR recruiting this cycle is undeniable and concerning. But at the same time, we've got talent on campus. Washington,Whittington, Smith, Eagles, Moore are all plus contributors or potentially elite at the college level. Omiere and Woodard could give us good snaps. Plus our TE's should be functional to decent this year. Most of the players I just mentioned are going to be Sophomores or younger. We just need to show out and bring in a crop of elite talent in the class after and hope Coleman can get them into workable shape as freshmen. It's not unheard of. But it sure as shit isn't a great position to be in, that is for sure.
All that being said, the next season Tom Herman doesn't have 2-3 unforced errors running this program will be the first fucking season.
Trejan is the one who has issues..think he is suspended too right? Wright from what I know doesn't.. he's going to waste away in B/CS. Also don't forget Kennedy Lewis who I think will be better than Washington.

When Kerksetter played Center, the interior played better.. Angilou and Braun benefited with him at Center last season. If Kerk does get the start at C in 2020, it's going to be fun

We're going to have to scramble/hustle to find some underrated kids to fill out the class, unfortunately, unless we can flip JoJo (might be doable, he never visited LSU and it feels like he might have been told to commit or lose his spot) and/or decide to take Quay. Michael Jackson III and Presley are solid takes, and hopefully we land them, but we'd need two more. Might make sense to find a talented transfer from the 2019 or 2020 classes who isn't happy with his situation.
My dream would be for Dylan Wright and, if he can get his head straight, Trejan Bridges to transfer here from aggy and ou.

Sounds like the G-league turned up the heat yesterday. They're negatively recruiting college as a whole and have NBA personnel reaching out to Greg to make their case.
2pm.
If they are only offering the kid 150k-200k, I say he goes to Texas. He will have a bigger opportunity to really stand out and let his play speak playing college ball. No one is tuning into seeing the Austin Toros face off with the Ft Wayne whatevers. Also the NCAA better nut up and allow these kids to get some type of extra compensation..from marketing or sponsorships.. They still win with letting Nike make Brown a star while hooping for Texas.

last time A&M had a WR with these stats were 2016 (Josh Reynolds with 1057 yards and 12 TDs) and before that was Mike Evans with 1394 yards and 12 TDs in 2013. Ryan Swope in 2011 had 1207 yards and 11 TDs and Jeff Fuller had 1066 yards and 12 TDs in 2010
so they have had 4 WR seasons total in the last 10 years where a WR had 1000 yards and 8 TDs, but sure a true freshman who didn't play a snap his senior year is going to step into the SEC and make it happen!
Bro, don't you Heis-MOND?!?!

Honestly, you're gonna argue with an LSU fan about receiver depth? Why would you do that to yourself?
Didn't you see that BOMB Eagles caught last season?!?! Or that laser Smith caught in the EZ?!?!?! Personally I have Eagles as the best outside WR in the country... now if Herman can somehow grab that Brady playbook...

Does Burrow still have eligibility?
As far as Kyrie and JoJo understand, yes.

i assume you forget we have the reigning Biletnikoff returning as well as Marshall, who i personally think is the best outside receiver in the country. add to that a room filled with 4 and 5 star fucking studs...Palmer, Smith, Boutte, McMath, et al. we're fucking stacked at X, Y, and Z.
lemme show you the two of the many real reasons why JoJo picked LSU over Texas...
oh.. i missed that Burrows was making a comeback.. and Marshall is your "PERSONAL" best outside WR in the country? Well then my friend, I stand corrected!!!!

yeah.. forgot LSU has nothing but studs along the WRs.. last season looked just like the season before.. Brady just benefited from being around the real OC, that's all.

Pretty sad. Hopefully we only have 1-2 more seasons of Herman.
then we'll hear the new guy say the same thing as TH and Chuck said in their opening conferences

certainly you're not insinuating that LSU doesn't have 2 studs in front of JoJo.
i mean, if you were, that'd be dumb as fuck.
dumb...as...fuck.
not without Brady

1 team in states of Iowa/ Kansas/ Colorado/ Oregon/ Washington... League footprint with over 100 million folks...Am I doing my math wrong or is that a total of 15 schools? Who would be cut in the Pac division? or will Bowlsby be a ninja and grab one of Utah/neb/Tulane/Ark for the #16 spot?

I don't care about how you feel about JoJo..but I've been told he saw Smith and Whittington and knew he wasn't going to get any playtime.

Hey, just to be perfectly clear here, Walker Little and his entire family had every single reason to go to Texas, including their employer being a huge Texas guy. Wareheim and Herman fucked that one up themselves. Texas was the heavy favorite until the actual coaches he would be playing for showed up.
Chaisson was in the same boat too

Yes, he was given a black check when he was hired for his staff and he brought his G5 Houston staff with him. Derek Warehime is a complete moron. There's a reason he is coaching at New Mexico state or where ever the fuck he is. We did not give ourselves a chance the minute Herman put that idiot in charge of their recruitments. You know what Warehime did in HIS MOST IMPORTANT HOME VISIT when he was hired at Walker Little's house? He showed up and took a massive fucking dump both figuratively and in actuality. Herman sent a country bumpkin to the home of a polished educated well off family with ties to Texas. I wouldn't want my son to play for an idiot like that as well. I don't blame the Little family.
You are correct..Herman should have sold daddy little while he was at Houston then it would have been a slam dunk once he arrived at Texas. Bragg wanted Texas, momma Bragg was playing school

Makes sense. He cut us out of his top 5. With the exception of Demas, when was the last time a prospect committed to a school not in his top 5. It would be a different story if this kid just had no interest in us. Herman and this staff find ways to fuck ourselves for players that "WANT" to come play for Texas. Remember when we hired 2 incompetent fucktards to screw up our WR room. Then he spent an entire month with an empty WR coach while other schools were recruiting. Then he promotes a fucking analyst that has no relationship to the DFW area or with regional recruits during a time period where he cannot really develop relationships even if he wanted to. All the while TCU, who wasn't even bowl eligible has no fucking QB worth a dick, were able to steal our top committed WR prospect last year and looks like they are going to land our top WR prospect on the board this year as well.
umm he's been Fong'd to LSU now.. only Quay can save us

Good grief, even if it is Evans (highly doubt that it is) then why should anyone believe his intentions? He's probably telling several programs what they want to hear and then will just show up wherever, and even then may not be allowed in if he's pulling the same crap he was during the fall. Remember that he can't sign another LOI and everyone has to trust his word which we all know is worthless.
This is the same kid who signed with Georgia then told LSU and aggy to keep recruiting him. IMHO there's a chance he doesn't even get to play this fall because of the bullshit he's pulled unless he goes aggy.
you are too deep into the herd to see the sheep sir

Yes, you should be mad about Donovan Jackson. He was going to commit during the Texas-ou week. We then gave up 11-12 sacks that game and it gave him pause. Our last 10 years have been a direct result of mismanaging the the O-line. We need guys like Branson Bagg, Donovan Jackson, Walker Little, Tommy Brockermeyer. This is a stacked year for OL... watch Herman fuck it up.
you really think Herman screwed up Bragg? and Little?

Yes, I am going to blame the staff for Garrett Wilson. The kid is in your own backyard at a school where your previous graduate assistant coaches. How often do LSU, ou, Bama, tOSU lose 5 star players from their own hometown. Wilson would have seriously considered Texas if we didn't have fucktards as coaches and could develop the talent. That falls on Herman. They also lost JSN who would be in a Texas jersey if it wasn't for that fucktard Mehringer who thought he was too slow. If we lose Jojo, that's also on Herman. The entire family wears burnt orange. Oh and I forgot about the cluster fuck that was Quinton Johnston. How we lost him to TCU is beyond me, this staf punches themselves in the dick more than any Texas staff I have seen since following recruiting. Just seems that we lose out on elite WR talent year after year.
Guess we should be mad at Donovan Jackson for going to tosu as well.. We are doomed. 2021 WR recruiting will set us back for years to come
