  1. Joseph is the guy that I feel like needs to go. Gideon actually has developed Taafe into a serviceable player and has brought Williams along in a nice way this season into being the unquestioned starter heading into next year. Taafe, Thompson, and Crawford are a mixed bag of massive limitations either athletically or mentally, and Thompson was just dog shit this year. I think PK had to alter his defense to hide the safeties almost all season, but our technique on balls in the air from our defensive backs is just inexcusable. There is no reason long corners like Watts and Brooks cant turn around to make plays on the ball in the air.
  2. Both lost fumbles were after big gains in the run game, and they came within about 10 offensive plays of each other. Then we would promptly follow up good first down plays with pre snap penalties almost every single time. It is impossible to get going when you are doing stuff like that.
  3. Combination of both. The issue is primarily an overall lack of speed in the secondary. Our safeties outside of Williams are all slow as molasses, and our DBs are slow relatively speaking. Watts and Brooks got cooked off the line more times than I can count. They actually did a better job of making up the ground and being in a good position than I figured they would, but players with their back to the ball when it is in the air drives me absolutely insane. I hate that technique with a passion. Brooks flat out ran over a guy when he had time to turn his head and make a play on a ball. Watts had three balls go right by his earhole that all could have been batted down or intercepted. Penix was throwing some absolutely sick balls, and tip of the hat to him for hitting those insanely small windows, but he also left air under the ball and time for our guys to make plays and our techniques on the ball killed us.
  4. You say tomato, I say perennially underachieving program who constantly shoots themselves in the foot with any hint of success.
  5. How do you get fired 10 times in 13 seasons? Not even Shawn Watson managed that.
  6. Welcome to the nobody wants to be here bowl.
  7. How does a 270 lb center have that high of a pass grade?
  8. Somewhere Ian Boyd is furiously taking notes.
  9. Did you just speak in tongues on a message board?
  10. I had to double take at that little avatar next to aggies wire. It looks like a sheep at first glance.
  11. It’s really hard to get guys who can take kicked passes to the house consistently.
  12. The level of assuredness on so many things on this one from GAW17 is fascinating.
  13. Does aggy get class ranking credit for their own guys coming out of the portal like Bisontis?
  14. My goodness, ERob is absolutely ransacking the house on the way out. The only reason they still have a lamp is because it is bolted down.
  15. The new OL coach should be pretty good though.
  16. Bisontis is the product of exactly what happens when you put a guy out there before he is ready against SEC defenders. He is a cautionary tale of exactly why you don't see freshman starters on the OL very often, the problem is, most of those guys don't make it back mentally from the ass kicking when they are used to being the bully on the block their whole lives. I am sure he has the ability to become a serviceable player after a couple of years, but in the mean time he is getting his ass banged like a screen door in a tornado. I can't wait until this covid year bullshit is over so we don't have to see 35 year old starting college QBs anymore.
  17. Out of curiosity, how would one work harder to post better on this site? A daily regimen of 5 sets of 50 banging my head against the wall? Ropes and tropes at dawn? I will give these a shot and report back.
  18. Yes he absolutely has. He put up over 650 yards as a true freshman in Jimbo's dinosaur offense with terrible QBs, and another 500 yards this last year just half assing it. If it is truly an NFL over NIL situation, which I am not sure I totally believe, then it is hard to argue with Chris Jackson's resume at this point. Two 1,000 yard receivers in the NFL in the same season, followed by two high draft picks his first year in college. I would take this kid and let him put up 800 yards receiving for us next year before he heads off to the league. Cook, Stewart, and Golden would be a nasty trio while we bring the freshmen along.
  19. Them taking pictures with a wrinkled backdrop seems fairly on brand for Florida these days. Maybe Bateman can bring some of that attention to detail to colleyville.
