If I were Sark, I would be looking at Simmons as a multifaceted investment from an NIL perspective. Obviously, he is a player of immense need and the kind of guy that can be the cornerstone of our defense for the next 3 seasons. He also goes to Duncanville, and if you don't think the NIL package will circulate through the school then you aren't paying attention. That could definitely help us with the ridiculous amount of talent that is in that school right now. Third, LSU has never really done very well in Dallas. They have recruited Houston area very well, but have struggled to get a foothold in Dallas. Duncanville is not the school that you want to allow those guys into, and Brian Kelly seems pretty intent on gaining traction in DFW. Similar to how we beat out Michigan for a number of recruits early during Charlie Strong, those guys haven't really come back. We beat out Ohio State for a few big recruits over the last few seasons and those guys have not really been back to the degree they were under Meyer. Bama has been fading in the state as well on a relative basis and we have beaten them head up on a number of high profile recruits since Sark has been here. We need to make it a point to do the same thing to LSU.
