  1. He either rushed through the read to check down or threw late. He was good in straight drop back. Maybe need more of that
  2. my bad, I thought was you saying this was a poor throw that had to be saved from hitting the turf
  3. Point is how few easy throws Sark designed. Very little screen game, despite it being effective (albeit limited attempts) or target to motion. Hell, I think that 1st pass was the first pass play for Arch in his last 3 games. That doesn’t excuse Arch, he was legitimately bad also. View this as a complete shit sandwich with a lot of blame to go around
  4. Shitty Arkansas defense did it to Texas
  5. It was a bad Sark day. I think the first screen was in the second half to Wingo (maybe late 2Q). 2 targets to motion?? That is huge staple for Sark and his way to get easy throws to QBs. Just bad all around
  6. OSU blanketed Texas WRs for the most part. When there were open guys, Arch generally missed them. Even the explosive plays Texas got were hard. Endries and Livingstone big plays were big time throws and good contested catches. Compare that to the big plays by OSU. Tate had Guilbeau beat by probably 5 yards. Under throw is the only reason there was contact. Good news is OSU easily has a top 5 secondary, so not many will be able to do that
  7. It’s worked for quite awhile vs Texas. Take away the explosives and dare Texas to win running the ball. OSU ran a lot of what Georgia did to Texas.
  8. I think it was a bad day for Arch and Sark. That was a tough combo to watch. One thing sticking in my mind is why does every QB at Texas have bad mechanics. I hoping this was just a nervous thing, but we shall see
  9. Arch played nervous all game. He was not good. Sark was bad also. OSU was dialed in on the majority of calls. The ones they weren’t dialed in on, Arch missed. OL and RBs couldn’t punish light boxes. It’s was a perfect storm ineptness.
  10. That was actually a great throw. It wasn’t a drop, because Igbinonus (sp?) had his right arm pinned. Let’s not reverse Mandel Arch here
  11. Neto replaced him
  12. Sad thing is even on the big plays (Endries and Livingstone), it took great throws by Arch. That is not to excuse the misses. Not much to like about the passing game. Endries will be a player, but the WRs need to step up there game
  13. I have to go back and look at that. someone was saying the was a bad adjust by Wingo. I am not exactly sure why, so take that with a grain of salt
  14. I believe you talking about the first play. Arch just missed that, not sure anything else needs to be said on that. Lot of Texas explosives are that post/diver concept. Just noticing that backside safety is turning fast looking for that over. Georgia and OSU have taken that core Sark concept away.
  15. Lost QB being brutal for 3Qs. He did make some good throws in the 4Q, but to little too late. The other big reason is Texas is a sloppy team. You get in rock fights like this game and a penalty here and there are meaningful. That and OSU made the critical plays
  16. I think Sark needs to mix some things up. The post/dover concept seems to be DOA against good teams. They are scouting to take it away
  17. Nothing like a public hanging to cleanse the bowels. Now sark has 3 cupcakes to fix the mess
  18. Arch just makes the lay-ups it’s a different game.
  19. I think the run game was part OSU scheme. Just from the initial viewing OSU played mostly coverage. They dared Texas to execute 8-10 play drives. Outside of Arch’s day, the biggest question going for me is where are the playmakers on offense?
  20. I hate to say this, but I think Arch just was in his own head. He just didn’t look right for about 75% of the game. I am not sure you can take much from this game other than that. He let the pressure get to him
  21. This is generally true, but I thought this was one of Sark’s least imaginative game plans. He was really uninspiring
  22. Such an ugly game on offense. Manning looking nervous for 3Q. Texas skill players looking exceptionally jaggy. I can’t imagine many people were in the mood to even mess with CTJ
  23. This.. I think Arch was just in his own head and we won’t see him look like that again. Concerns: 1. I think Arch will be fine, but when you look like that for 3Q, you have to have a concern 2. WRs got handled. Not much separation 3. RBs get what the OL blocks and that is pretty much it. Lacking any play making there Positive: 1. OL looked pretty solid on initial watch 2. Defense was good 3. Littleton is going to be a star
  24. 21 was really good for Texas under Sark. Babers is always talking about how effective it has been. He has probably under-used it historically based on the numbers. Last year it was D.O.A due to depth, but it is an interesting point that it could come back. Nibblet on the RB depth chart might be a hint you have a pt. There is not a LB in the country that can run with that guy. Clark has supposedly look great in the pass game. I not sure where Baxter is health-wise (70%, 80%, 90%0, but I am sure he can block and get some tough yards up the middle. That makes 21 dangerous pairing him with some guys that can do damage in space.
