  1. Shocked that we were able to get a deal done. Happy we got someone with midfield creativity.
  2. Xavi Simons in London. Possible Chelsea hijack. We'll see.
  3. I'd be shocked if we sign anyone. Complete goat fuck this summer with how Eze and MGW were handled, very amateur. Maybe Paratici helps that next year.
  4. Good to get rid of Bissouma. He needed a change as much as we did. Paratici needs to get to work!
  5. Big win! JP playing big, huge loan pickup. The discipline in the squad is a welcome change. Completely justifies the managerial change.
  6. Vicario routinely flirts with making my shit list. We're playing much more disciplined with Frank. It's a night and day difference.
  7. Jao opens his account! Dreamland for Spurs!
  8. Time kills all deals. If it's true that Levy allowed Palace to keep Eze for their match today for a Conference League qualifier, then Levy is a fucking moron. They better do something, because this team as currently constructed isn't competing for CL qualification. We don't have the midfield or depth this campaign.
  9. Who is out there that is a difference maker, and that's possible to get? The midfield is a disaster and it's gone unaddressed. Aside from Kudus, it's been an underwhelming summer after so much hope initially.
  10. Sounds like it's off! And Arsenal are the ones that hijack the deal. Levy looking like a real incompetent piece of shit after this and Gibbs-White.
  11. The non-Xenomorph stuff had the feel of that 2023 Gareth Edwards movie "The Creator". Southeast Asia, cyborg/synth/android technology, conflicting factions, and visually similar. I enjoyed that movie's world building, acting, and use of cinematography/special effects, but was frustrated by the overall story. I hope Alien Earth keeps the narrative, cinematography and effects quality up, I have high expectations based off the first two episodes. Last week was a really fun 2 episode watch.
  12. Good news on both fronts, Cutti and a new medical staff.
  13. The Third Man is outstanding. Touch of Evil is good too.
  14. Kudus looks the part. Excited if we can follow thru with the other two signings.
  15. Richy from another Kudus feed!
  16. COYS!!!! Matchday! I started following Spurs in 2006 and the team has changed over the years, but it feels more dramatic this year. Anxious to see what the new squad looks like this year. Fingers crossed on getting an Eze deal over the line. That would be big!
  17. Bissouma not travelling with the club for PSG match. Disciplinary reasons. Time for him to move on. If we get Eze, I think he's a goner for sure.
  18. They called it the "Jim Lee experience". Once you got in line, you could look at artwork and original panels that he would sell. Some were as high as $85K! They also had some stuff from his own collection that wasn't for sale. Very engaging people working with him that would give you some background on the pieces. I got the impression that it was a family affair, he had about 4 different people helping him. Lee and I spoke about the late '80s to early 90s run at Marvel. He said that was the real "golden age" of comics. I agreed with him. McFarlane's Image indulgence started the 90s downfall. McFarlane was always a better artist than storyteller, but I enjoyed some of his Image work. But it accelerated the mediocrity of the industry overall (Liefeld!), and ultimately diluted the comic industry by flooding distributors with tons of copies of books that wouldn't sell. I've heard McFarlane is a gracious person with fans, but really comes off as arrogant and off putting with others in the industry. I'd love to meet him. Can't tell the history of comics over the last fifty years without him, Lee, Claremont, Byrne, Miller, Morrison, Shooter, and others.
  19. Went to see Jim Lee a week ago at a Frisco Collectors Convention. He was great! Got all of my X-Men #1 variant covers signed from '91. Same ones Claremont had signed years earlier. Smaller comics area than the sports card area. A few really good vendors, but overall less a comic convention and more memorabilia convention. Still had some good '80s era comics there that I almost picked up.
