  1. We have a compounding issue. The OL is not good at blocking, which means we're often behind the sticks. When we're behind the sticks, we have to run longer developing plays. Blocking for these longer developing plays goes back to point 1, except they have to hold up even longer. So we end up in a feedback loop where getting behind the sticks means there's an extremely high chance of the drive being doomed.
  2. AD Mitchell was in the doghouse because of what he did last week. He didn't even see the field until garbage time in the 4th quarter.
  3. I was so lost in the Neto vs Stroh debate that I forgot Kibble existed. Is there a reason we haven't heard this guy's name this season?
  4. Wasn't really late as much as the nickel blitz made it a dead play. Arch is reading the nickel off the RPO. If the nickel bites down on the RB, Arch pulls it and throws it to Mosely on the slant. The nickel does indeed "bite down." The problem is that the nickel was coming on a blitz regardless, so now he's directly in the throwing lane. Because of that, Arch can't throw the ball on time and has to get rid of it high. There were a few other plays where the Florida defense read a screen attempt immediately and blew it up. Like the 3rd and 10 on the first drive where Arch had to throw it away. That was supposed to be a screen to Wisner that got sniffed out.
  5. His wiki was updated on September 11th to reflect his position on the Texas staff. The article is Ian Boyd clickbait.
  6. Not all thumb injuries are the same. Kurtis Rourke and Jared Goff broke the tip of their thumbs. They had a more simple surgery that involved putting screws into the bone to stabilize it. Neither was out longer than 2 weeks. Drew Brees and Jay Cutler injured the ligament that's at the base of the thumb. They needed an internal brace to be placed in the thumb that allows the ligament to heal in place. They were both out for 5 games. Just guessing from the initial timeline that was given for Mateer, I think his injury is probably closer to the one Drew Brees had than Jared Goff's.
  7. He hurt it because OU's collective dumbass coaches put Jaren Kanak in charge of blocking Keldric Faulk 1 vs 1. Faulk is the #1 edge rusher prospect for the 2026 NFL draft, and that's exactly who Mateer hit on the follow through.
  8. I try to find an Ohio State source on the Eddrick Houston rumor, and instead I see this... hmmm. Probably bullshit, though.
  9. Seems like Ohio State Twitter is in the dark on this one, too.
  10. Wink Martindale was brought in specifically for continuity though. The last 3 Michigan DCs have all come from the Baltimore Ravens staff: Mike Macdonald, Jesse Minter, and now Wink Martindale.
  11. Two things that stood out to me other than all the "OR". 1. Marcel Reed only gained 5lbs over the off season. He was listed at 180lbs last year. Now he's 185lbs, and that might be rounded up. Not a great place to be for a running QB in an offense that runs the QB. 2. They only have 4 DTs that aren't true freshmen, and of those the biggest is listed at only 317lbs. Texas has 4 DTs bigger than 317lbs.
  12. He's actually looked pretty bad. The prevailing thought was that he would be "red shirted" via phantom IR. Howie Roseman was pretty candid today calling Cam a bottom 5 guy on the roster that they're keeping as a developmental guy.
  13. None of our UDFAs made a roster. Gavin Holmes, David Gbenda, Bill Norton, Jake Majors, and Silas Bolden were all cut. Edit: Forgot about Isaiah Bond. He made the Browns roster.
  14. Dolphins are in the middle of a practice right now, and Quinn is in attendance. Pretty much all the confirmation I need. This is not really the thread for it, but Bill Norton still has not been cut by the Rams yet. They'll probably release the remaining cuts right at the deadline, but how cool would it be if Norton made that roster?
  15. OU just released their week 1 depth chart. As predicted by people here, it's a fucking mess.
  16. He's one the safeties that Matthew Golden cooked on 4th and 13.
  17. Agiye Hall committed to Sacramento State back in January this year, but he's not listed on their roster.
  18. Barron was actually in a boot on the sideline during that game. We had him go in when shit started going sideways, and he made the game ending PBU on that last 4th and 1.
  19. We're just about 10 years removed from a missed extra point. I was there, and it still stings.
  20. https://x.com/CarterKarels/status/1952772690839769271 Elko says Zuhn has been working at center with Fatheree filling in his spot at LT.
  21. Even more-so than Will Campbell. I had a clip of him pancaking the right guard on a run play during last year's spring game, which is a great metaphor for how their season went. Unfortunately the video I got it from was deleted so the clip is gone as well, but I have a blurry screenshot of the moment. Bottom right of the screen.
  22. Trey Zuhn is decent but he has sub-32 inch arms, which is a complete deal breaker for NFL tackles. He's also really tall at almost 6'7, so he's got no leverage as a guard. Any time we lined our 34" arm DTs Alfred Collins or Vernon Broughton up against Zuhn, they kicked his ass.
