  1. MacKinnon is a fucking badass. The dude deserves the Hart. I love his mentality and the way he elevates everyone around him.
  2. That’s a fucking tough read. Feel horrible for that woman.
  3. Listen, I love shitting on the Oilers as much as anyone, but I like the Corey Perry signing. He will be asked to do two things: 1. Be a complete scumbag rat, and 2. Be a net front presence on second unit PP.
  4. I mean, what the fuck even is that creature?
  5. I wonder how this works in regards to insurance. My company was looking into a corporate event that included test driving multiple exotic cars; however, we decided to do something else in the event that someone crashed an Aston Martin and totally fucks up their insurance.
  6. “Jesus wants you to fund that NIL budget!”
  7. Hmmm, shorts on a plane like an animal….
  8. Loved watching the Leafs collapse live on Hockey Night in Canada. Continuing to pay outrageous $ for forwards without a care in the world for goaltending and defense. Never change Leafs.
  9. What the fuck is with the James Franklin shit? He’s lucky to still be employed at pedo st, don’t think Alabama would seriously consider this failure of a coach.
  10. Solid doubleheader tonight on TNT. Second of a back-to-back with Minnesota and Dallas, then a potential WCF matchup between the Avs and Knights.
  11. I’m pretty sure Rodgers was a regular guest on the show before ESPN. McAfee’s show has been huge on YouTube for many years, hence why ESPN wants to air it on their network. I don’t hate McAfee, he knows it’s all about entertainment. Gameday on ESPN has been awful for many years now and, in my opinion, it has nothing to do with McAfee.
  12. He’s a homer, sure. Might be one of the biggest in the league in terms of pbp guys but I think it’s funny to listen to fans of other teams bitch and moan about a Bruins guy being partial to the Bruins on a local broadcast. Also, he’s not even from Boston, much less even Mass. Think he grew up in the Midwest and moved to New Hampshire for university. I can assure you most people living in and around Boston do not speak like him.
  13. Just how he speaks. Rumor has it he loves hitting the bong but I’ve never heard of any actual evidence of this.
  14. It was definitely a tough year on the CRE side. I hated having to essentially beg clients for deposits, something our group has never really had to do before. Lack of payoffs due to extensions being used really threw a wrench in our budget in 2023.
  15. Read in CoStar this morning about 300 W Adams St in the Business Loop of DT Chicago. Sold in 2012 for $51MM and just resold in late December 2023 for $4MM. It’s a fairly vintage property but thinking just the dirt alone in downtown Chicago would far exceed $4MM.
  16. The fact that RT was fired by goddamn UTEP should have been all we needed to know to not extend a HC offer to him. He’s a good shit and can recruit but he’s an absolute joke of a HC.
  17. Let’s fucking go!!! Gold medal for Team USA!!🇺🇸🥇
  18. I mean, what the fuck are we doing in here?
  19. Holy fuck this thread has been dead for nearly a month. Anyway, US on to the gold medal game at the world juniors. Finland gave us a nice scare for a bit there. That BC line centered by Will Smith is unbelievable.
  20. They may not run the ball the rest of the second half. Just too easy through the air.
  21. Belgium was the second leg of our trip after spending our initial 4 days in the Netherlands. Most of our time was spent in Ghent and Bruges, with the only time being spent in Brussels for traveling to other destinations. https://www.1898thepost.com In Ghent, we stayed at a really awesome hotel, 1898 The Post. I’ve attached a link to their website above. It’s the old post office that’s located next to the Saint Michael’s Bridge and Church. Make sure to grab a cocktail at the Cobbler, the bar located inside of the hotel. Ghent is a well preserved city with many cool things to see, including going to the top of the Belfry Tower of Ghent, touring the 10th century Gravensteen Castle. We also spent some time viewing Saint Bravo’s Cathedral. https://hoteldukespalace.com We then hoped on a short train ride to Bruges. We stayed at the Hotel Duke’s Palace, the former residence of the Burgundian aristocracy. Another great hotel located near tons of shopping and restaurants. I’ve attached the link to their website above. This was the part of the trip for my wife’s birthday, so our itinerary was a bit more relaxed. Lots of shopping and general sightseeing around the really cool town. One thing I highly recommend, especially those that enjoy sweets, is the Old Chocolate House. They have an old tea room where they serve multiple variations of hot chocolate and waffles. Dinner was at Le Mystique, a multi coursed French meal located inside of the Hotel Heritage. I really enjoyed the slow pace of Bruges. We spent a lot of time drinking beers in the city’s various cafes and bars.
  22. Dusting this thread off a bit. Just got back from two weeks in Europe that included the Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain. This was my first time traveling to Europe during the Winter, and overall I really enjoyed it. The crowds were essentially non existant and rates on flights and hotels were very attractive. Tons of great Christmas markets and lights to enjoy. Plus, there’s something really nice about enjoying a Belgian beer while sitting outside a cafe during the cooler months. Besides a fews days of rain in Bruges and Ghent, the weather was fine and what we expected for mid to late December. Happy to provide more details about things we liked/places we went if people are interested in traveling here in the near future.
  23. Shhh, it sounds more fun to let them think we are Satan with unlimited bags.
  24. Hey bud, way to dress up when you have guests.
