  1. Win or lose this week SEC will be the champ But we win both games
  2. IDK. In all the years I've read this board, including time on shaggy, one of the best things about the community is the judicious use of transgressive, irreverent and outright offensive material. On the other hand, this particular meme is pretty brutal to an individual who didn't do anything to deserve it. I would hate for the board to draw negative attention for a meme with that is meaner than it is impactful. All that said... username checks out.
  3. I encourage you to do it. I love it - wouldn't trade it for anything. My girls get to grow up seeing where their food comes from, their yard is massive and has a pond, a stream and dozens of trees. And I get to provide for my family the same way my grandpa did. All I'm saying is my wife and I both have good day jobs to pay the bills.
  4. You'd think that with all the specialized levels in the cattle industry, that you could cut cost by vertically integrating your small operation. Unfortunately the math never works - the big boys at each level are too big and too efficient and control too much of the market for you to be able to pinch your pennies and turn a profit on beef. We have 5 cows on 20 acres in Austin county and after we pay for hay and maintenance, and we sell our calves and put a side of beef in the freezer, we are happy to be break-even. We just got pedigreed Longhorns that we are trying to turn a profit with, but haven't put any up for sale yet. We'll see how that goes. Unless you have a square mile of quality grass and tons of heavy gear, you're a hobby farmer and you should treat it that way. Edit: Just noticed that I responded to a question from 7 months ago. Just ignore me, don't neg me.
  5. Outside of one team on this list, I will not miss, think about or hate on any of them. I'm sure we will all occasionally stop on a game while flipping through the Saturday lineup and see that they are challenging a superior opponent late in a game. But the draw will be how sad the superior team's performance is (think Al v SFU). These teams will fall to the waste bin of semi-relevant D1 football with the Fresno States and Coastal Carolinas. That said, I'll actually miss Tech. They really fucked us with one particular defeat, but that's football. Their fans have always been fun to interact with and they gave us The Pirate. I hope we have rivalries like that in the SEC, but I'm worried we're walking into a conference full of Aggies. The pigs hate us more than any team in the poll and their toothless fans are worse than Aggies - we just don't have to interact with them as much. Maybe LSU has hope to be an enjoyable rivalry. I have at least bonded with several LSU grads over the insufferability of Aggies and pigs.
  6. Maybe it didn't come through on the Longhorn Network feed but I was listening to Craig Way. At the end of the quagmire the referee clearly said that the spot of the ball was not reviewable. It made zero sense. They had just reviewed the spot of a ball for a similar situation a few plays earlier.
  7. Texas 41 Wyo 14 (against bottom of depth chart) 260 RB yards
  8. Rodgers' age, pre-existing injury and long standing douchiness aside, this actually the exact kind of injury that could be reduced by playing on natural grass. His ankle/Achilles was likely injured because the artificial surface didn't tear or sheer to release pressure on his foot like grass would have.
  9. Just keeping it real (and sarcastic) for my inaugural post. My highest hope is that we play FSU in the championship game this year. That way, win or lose, all my Aggy cousins will be absolutely miserable. But after the last ten years, a face plant is just as likely.
  10. Let's tone down the sunshine pumping a little This could still end in November.
