  1. It could be worse, you could be a Kentucky fan. Stoops should be thrown in jail for financial crimes for losing that game.
  2. Wingo is a classic NIL conundrum. You tell the donors we need the money for Arch’s deep threat. He cost a lot. We aren’t gonna stop banging our head against that wall any time soon.
  3. Sark is a QB and I think he coaches and thinks like a QB. You dont ask a QB to change what hes doing because he makes a bad throw, and I think Sark looks at these games that way. Bad performance against UK? Its not the game plan, just gotta execute better next time.
  4. Classic message board circle jerk we have going on here. Guys, two things can be true at the same time: 1.- Arch is not playing well 2.- Arch is getting poor support from his coaches and teammates
  5. Its not rocket surgery, Napier was spread way too thin trying to be the playcaller.
  6. His injury was clearly holding him and the offense back. The dude couldn’t plant his front foot and zip it in. Was a statue in the pocket. If his body could’ve held up more I think we would have a totally different view of him. Truly elite arm talent, could run the offense, leader in the locker room.
  7. It seems obvious to me Sark is out of circuit capacity. The job is too much for him to continue his play calling duties. Not to mention he just had a kid. I think the guy is drowning. The product hes putting out on offense is completely unacceptable and warrants intervention. I think the reason we are seeing him revert to "game plans" like against Kentucky is because he was completely swamped with other obligations and basically mailed it in and went with what he had previously prepared. There are many many time consuming elements of being the HC at a program like Texas that can pop up out of nowhere.
  8. I dont know if he has a sports psychologist but I know he has at least one coach that focuses on the mental side of the position with him. I talked to him about Arch before the season started and he said they were mostly focused on filtering out the noise, ignoring the talking heads, and putting the pressure and hype and expectations into the proper perspective. One thing I know for sure, this guy was expecting Arch to have a big season and seemed confident Arch was going to play at a high level. I dont know him well so Im not gonna bother him but I really want to talk to him and say wow that john denver guy was really full of shit.
  9. 8-4 with wins against OU, Arkansas, and A&M would ease the sting a bit, but like you said its a massive failure to not even sniff the playoff with the resources behind this program. Im pretty concerned with this MSU game. Feels like we are asking too much out of the defense right now.
  10. I mean from the outside it seems like Sexton runs the show on both sides.
  11. I'm not even sure if its an option for Sark. I think the money guys would have to tell him to bench Arch. Sark asked them to give $$$ to the Arch Manning show. I've heard him give an entire pitch about building around Arch. Granted, that was before Arch even made it to campus. These dudes wrote the checks because Sark said we have our guy now we need to put the pieces around him.
  12. Sometimes I feel like I dont even know the value of a dollar anymore. How can all these programs and donors just light so much money on fire?
  13. I wouldnt worry too much about it, CDC wouldnt be making the call. The money would figure out who they want and CDC would just do the formalities.
  14. Its true he suggested it. I dont know how hard he actually pushed for it. I think he and Franklin are buddies if I remember correctly.
  15. I figured Penn State would just hire the youngest guy they can get away with.
  16. CDC wanted……..James Franklin 😂
  17. A ton of money was raised to put pieces around Arch specifically. That was the pitch. It would mean we are doing a reset and a ton went into all of this.
  18. Im really curious where the NIL guys are falling on all of this. It really felt like this year was the start of a really fun run. I'm guessing they arent the type to panic but there's gotta be a little voice starting to pop in their heads.
  19. My jaw would completely hit the floor. The implications for what that would mean are hard to imagine. I think it’s very likely the case Sark and Arch are completely tied at the hip. If it was announced that Sark is sitting Arch, I would almost assume Cooper has told Sark to shelf Arch and that they’re transferring out.
  20. Man this team really feels like it’s teetering on a meltdown. Things go sideways for us here then I think it really gets ugly.
  21. I think the issue is if we go out and hire a playcalling OC, then why is Steve Sarkisian our coach?
  22. Ewers wouldve already been knocked out for the season behind this O line.
  23. Here's what I keep coming back to- EVERYTHING in this program is built upon the idea that Sark is an elite offensive coach, playcaller, and QB coach. The wheels have completely fallen off of his offense. His star QB is a deer in headlights. His game plans are confounding. His clock management is consistently poor. His offensive stats against ranked teams are objectively bad. All of this with a top 3 NIL payroll and consistently high recruiting classes. Meanwhile, PK is putting out an elite product on defense and his side of the ball is clearly the thing thats keeping our heads barely above water. The stark difference is a very tough look for Sark. It feels like we are starting to enter the territory where we are forced to ask the question- What is the overall value that Sark brings to the program?
  24. I have a hard time believing Sark could get a HC job in the NFL. His body of work as an OC in Atlanta was not good. Now the wheels are coming off of his program at a spot where he has every imaginable advantage. His body language is very strange right now. Im afraid things are about to spill over for him.
