  1. - More time with the coaching staffs to get to understand the system. - New QB who knows rap lyrics will improve overall buy-in. - New influx of young OL talent motivates OL veterans. - Gary Patterson's hire motivates all defensive staff to step up their game. - Excellent transfer talent improves position groups. Easy 9 wins. It's science.
  2. I'm here to represent the kool aid sunshine crew and I don't even know what a "Ukraine" is and will resist all attempts to learn.
  3. Hope is the best way to operate as a fan because it usually works out really well for the sucker who is hoping. I willingly search out kool-aid to drink all offseason and I'm happy all offseason because off it. Then we win a few games at the beginning and I'm still happy. Then I'm sad when we collapse mid-season through the end of the season, then signing day starts serving kool-aid and the cycle repeats. Meanwhile, the anti-kool-aid brigrade is just pissed and sad all year long. Game, Polyannas. (Also, you are 100% correct about Meyer.)
  4. The premise is that your DBs are fast enough to get into that dead zone on quick throws and make the play. It takes time for the QB to look at the WR throw it, the ball to get there, and the WR to secure the catch. In that time, a DB should've already read to situation and been closing. That's why we see so much of it.
  5. Sark will now make two offensive gameplans for each game; first half and second half. No need to adjust in-game because it will be planned ahead of time. Easy fix. National Champions.
  6. They say $8M for a HS athlete is crazy because they're comparing it to pro sports where salary caps are the only reason guys haven't already been getting $100+M/yr deals (being very conservative). Imagine Mahomes's recent free agency without a salary cap.
  7. Beer has a much better price:performance ratio.
  8. At Florida, sure, but not anywhere else. Ohio State just kept rolling rolling rolling.
  9. I feel zero shame about being excited about the possibility of him coming to Texas. None. He would've won a lot of games. I don't care if he cheats on his wife; not in the slightest. I'd prefer a nicer guy, but I wouldn't really care that much if we were winning a lot. No shame at all.
  10. Of course they are paid to play. They always have been. A strong majority of CFB players would not be attending those universities otherwise. I'm not a "scholarships are enough!" guy, but that ain't nothing. Universities give academically-unworthy (in terms of general admissions) people food, lodging, an extremely valuable education, and unbeatable personal marketing opportunities. And world-class facilities. And free clothes. And on and on and on and on.... All BEFORE bags/NIL.
  11. And until that "entitlement" manifests on the field in some way... don't care. I guess an argument could be made that this will "ruin" HS football due to players sitting out to protect NIL deals, but that's a separate question. We have amazing CFB players only putting in two years on the field before going to the NFL. RUINED!!!!
  12. Not sure what it changes for those who just watch the games and don't really keep up with gossip/drama. CFB has never been a sport where the little guy has a decent chance at elite recruits or trophies. BYU in 1984 and I guess Clemson's resurgence. The influence of money has always been a major determinant.
  13. Still committed. I knew it. Like Roman concrete; gets stronger with age.
  14. This conference we're joining... good god. Will be endless entertainment.
  15. Not so fast, bud, I haven't seen the feet pics yet.
  16. first step is away from talking all the time to Iraq War supporters
  17. I haven't been genuinely interested in this shit since Super Tuesday and my participation after that was mainly inertia. That's when hope died and we have the predictable results Wake me up when Marjorie Taylor Greene is about to become president because the stupid fucking Democrats think a Harris/Buttigieg ticket is just what the nation needs
