  1. Lulz. One thing I liked about him was after he retired, he'd go on social media and mock how completely insane the Okie meteorologists were. If you've ever been there during a serious storm, you know what I mean. They're unhinged.
  2. Gary England (a celebrity in this part of the country). A definite early pioneer of modern meteorology...
  3. A few years ago, the Democratic candidate for governor in Oklahoma pointed out in a debate that Oklahoma had a higher crime rate than San Francisco, and the Republican LOST HIS SHIT. Had a meltdown. Refused to believe. You know what, though? The Democrat was right. The whole "big cities bad" is so emblazoned into their brain DNA that it is one of their core beliefs.
  4. His views on law enforcement overreach might align with ours.....
  5. OKC against Miami in 2012 as well. I was at Game 2 and it basically a repeat of Game 1 except OKC shot better. The OKC defense is really all over them. OKC hasn't played well in the playoff in Game 1's coming off rest so maybe that was it. Halliburton and Pascal are nice players but OKC's "other guys" are much better. Caruso and Wiggins has really good shooting games and Chet was more aggressive early on. Game 3 will be telling. If OKC wins that, it puts a ton of pressure on Indy in Game 4. If they go back to OKC down 3-1, it's over in Game 5.
  6. There are two WNBA games on tonight. Just the dumbest fucking run league in existence.
  7. I hope the 25 different commentators and analyst ESPN has in town have a great time in Okie City. They'd better like steak.
  8. This. They gave that mofo a seat at the table and then he thought he ruled the world.
  9. It's what I've been saying for literally a decade. Knowing what we now know about James Harden, does anyone really think he'd stay in OKC to play third banana behind Durant and Westbrook? That's not even accounting for the strip club differential between Houston and Oklahoma City?
  10. That's accurate. OKC is a good (not great) shooting team and they can go cold for long stretches and when they go cold, they all go cold for some reason. The problem for Indiana is the "other guys." Not sure on their depth but at some point, Cason, Caruso, and Jalen Williams will be out there against their second unit and defensively, they can eat them alive. That's all while keeping Dort on Halliburton and no one playing heavy minutes. They also have multiple guys to throw at Siakam. Not sure how the Pacers match up against OKC's bigs, though.
  11. Not anti Semitic at all, right?
  12. Check back with how they feel when he starts missing a third of the season. He played 72 games this year and that's the most since 2019.
  13. Literally whatever lineup they can throw out, OKC can counter. Big, small, whatever. There will be a game they will get light up from 3 and over the course of the series, OKC will just wear them down. Literally Caruso can guard Pascal.
  14. Yes but OKC's defense is next level.
  15. That lineup the Pacers run with Pascal at the 5..... Kenrich Williams guards him. The rest of the OKC lineup are wings. Good luck.
  16. I'll say it. OKC in five.
  17. And to be honest, this year they beat a very flawed Lakers roster a flawed and Stephless Warriors roster. The West is about to get very good very fast and them and Denver are the two teams that need to make some moves or get left behind.
  18. Went to the OKC/Minny game last night. A few observations. 1. Major troll job by whoever runs the OKC jumbotron. If the second quarter, the showed highlights of steals from...the first quarter. Lulz. Also, every time the Minny coach would protest a call, the jumbotron would immediately switch to him. Ha ha. 2. I stayed at the Omni and my room smelled of weed. I saw Game 2 and stated at the Omni and the hallway smelled of weed. (Room was fine.) What on earth could be connection between those two days? Hmmmm.... I went down to the front desk to just ask if they could spray the bathroom. I wasn't mad and thought it was kind of funny. "Yeah, Timberwolves are one of the smokiest teams out there. Them and Ja Morant. Who he play for?" 3. Rode the elevator with hot gal trainer for Minny. She said "We're glad you beat Denver. We hate them and all of their fake injuries. Jokic is a flopping bitch." Ah, sports hate.... 3. Dort was on Edwards like a venereal disease Ant likely got from one of his baby mamas. He made it difficult for Ant to even get across the court off ball. He was working his ass off for everything. 4. Minny has roster problems. (Duh.) They have too many one way guys. They all seem pretty one way except Ant. Gobert is functionally useless. Chet outplayed him in all facets of the game. Gobert can dunk if he's wide open but that's about it. Take away the 13 points he somehow got in Game 4 and he averaged 4 points per game and a very underwhelming 6 rebounds. Not sure what to do with him as his trade value isn't great. Conley is also an offensive zero but I'd imagine he's about to retire. Maybe they can package some of those bench guys with Gobert and get some more scoring and keep Randle or something. I dunno.
  19. Also, had he drafted Giannis instead of Steven Adams, you'd never hear a peep about the Harden move but Giannis was a complete unknown at the time.
  20. Also, at the time, no one thought Harden would be as good as he ended up being.
  21. Also, the strip clubs in Houston >>>>> Oklahoma City Nothing we know about James Harden suggests he would have stayed in Oklahoma for a discount to play third banana behind Durant and Westbrook. Also, the game was slightly different at the time with more traditional post players and Presti felt they would need to counter that with traditional post defenders (Perkins, Ibaka, Adams, etc.)
  22. The entire game seemed to runs where OKC got up +9 and then Minny made a run to get -2 or tied and then cycle repeat. Both teams just hit some shots. I'd agree that with those bench guys playing like that Minny should win easily. OKC just put everything on Ant and made the other guys beat them and that's a good bet for them.
  23. Market size is different from fan base, though. The Nets are light years from being the #2 fan base. Also, I'm not sure where they get these numbers. OKC metro area is about 1.5M and San Antonio is around 2.3M. Phoenix is also closer to 5M as is Detroit. The point holds, though. OKC and Indiana are two of the smallest markets possible for a Finals.
  24. Almost have to be, I don't know what the smallest Eastern market is. Could be Orlando. It may not be the smallest market but no there gives a shit about the Magic. MIL might be the smallest Eastern Conference market now that I think of it....
