  1. This is the right answer. They basically told Arkansas to get bent on FEMA relief for a tornado and even they were surprised that Sanders couldn't get through to him. In all fairness, Arkansas (like Texas) is running a surplus and is wanting to cut taxes. There just should have been some lead time.
  2. Abbott will roll into Kerr County next year and get 80% of the vote.
  3. And then trade that young talent for draft picks/future assets. (Cason Wallace next season.) You're not going to hit on all the draft picks, I get that, but they seem to hit on a lot more than they miss.
  4. It's kind of the whole point of the new CBA. You can have 2 or 3 stars but it really rewards the front offices and GM's who can scout young talent. The days of loading up the roster with overpriced vets may be over. You can have a core 3 but you'd better hit on your draft picks and a few FA signings. Presti has already done the math on the outlying years and can figure out who he needs to move. Everyone is under contract for next season but after that, you'll see some moves. It's easy to remember the Bulls teams as being Jordan and Pippen but if you look back, the entire roster besides them turned over between the two three peats. I suspect in 4-5 years, OKC will turn over everyone except those three.
  5. Even I forget that sometimes. Dieng was before him. He doesn't play much but still has some upside, especially at his age. J Dub was one of the Clipper picks and if I remember right, the pick got bumped up because the Clippers were playing in a play in game and Paul George got covid at the last minute and they lost. Could be wrong about that, though.
  6. But the Thunder won't spend money!!!! I don't pretend to know the cap/apron thing but they have some team friendly deals with the supporting cast plus all of the draft picks. Hartenstein is at $30M for two more years but that second year is a team option. It's crazy that Chet and J Dub were the same draft....
  7. He should have sympathy for some of the victims being hit by trees and all.
  8. They'll get over it within a week or two. They'll make up a story like how Trump is keeping all the secrets to have power over the "Deep State" or something. They're likely getting their story straight right now. He'll threaten to release it again in a year or two and they'll fall for it.
  9. End of an era. Retire the jersey.
  10. Arky Trumper guy hates illegal immigrants. Marries an illegal immigrant. Now is immigrating to Ecuador because they're kicking her out. Undefeated: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/08/us/trump-illegal-immigration-raids-arkansas.html?unlocked_article_code=1.U08.6yG4.eawJKWuik5qq&fbclid=IwY2xjawLaDelleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETE4TW16WHVXRFlkanhQUGs2AR4BX9LOLUje79_0XOwBlsJTtj_-HNLjisRwFoVE7QlqcV9W_7jkCxCGu0dpAQ_aem_WxspO7vOdHVB-x3qdkWFqQ
  11. I don't go to MAGA twitter because I don't want computer AIDS but how are they separating Trump from Bondi?
  12. Not unexpected but official. Halliburton out for all of that next season.
  13. They have to reconcile in their brain that they were wrong and there’s nothing there. It was a core, almost religious belief that Epstein was some liberal conspiracy, never mind Trump himself had his fingers all over it.
  14. It blew my mind that the people of Uvalde still voted for Abbott after the shooting. He literally lied to them about how their kids died. I got nothing.
  15. The mental gymnastics in real time fare fascinating. Only in their bubble was Epstein an exclusively liberal scandal. Never mind he died in federal prison while Trump was president, Trump was directly tied to him, and they hyperventilated during the Biden years and they wanted everything released. Give them a few weeks and they'll move on like the whole thing never happened. They were obsessed with child trafficking, Epstein is the poster child for that, their side takes over the entire government and *poof* it's like it never happened.
  16. Just in time for him and AD to be in their mid 30's. Great. I said it when they got the #1 pick but they should trade everyone for young assets and picks and build around Flagg.
  17. For the "forecast wasn't good" crowd:
  18. Keep in mind these are the same people that lied about the Uvalde shooting.
  19. Keep in mind Hot Wheels is the same person who blatantly lied about the Uvalde shooting.
  20. When we lived in SA, a tropical storm blew in and stalled over the city and dumped like 15 inches. What I remember was that five inches fell in one hour and it was unlikely anything I'd ever seen. Literally couldn't see across the street at one point. That's what these hourly totals are like and it's mind bottling.
  21. We're all worried about the poors on Medicaid but tonight they're shooting off $500 worth of fireworks....
  22. This is the closest. 1. OKC/Denver -- they've actually won the whole thing 1A. Houston 2. Minny, Clips, Mavs (if healthy), maybe the Spurs. (I think SA surprises some people this year 3. Lakers, GS. Both rosters have 2-3 good players and not much else. Churn after that. I don't think you'll see as much separation between the 1 seed and the rest of the pack. OKC was ahead of #2 by what, 14 games? 2-6 were pretty glommed up. I think 1-3 will be family close and then you'll have the 4-8 teams. That makes that #1 seed very valuable. Say OKC is #1 and they wouldn't have to play either Denver or Houston until the WCF and then only one of them.
