  1. I could get on board with the idea if it was clear that it’s just the same setting, that the characters and the story are different. Less a re-boot than a complete reinvention, like a different DM using the same campaign setting to run a different campaign with all-new players. If that’s what he was tweeting, yeah, I’m on board. But if is just a new Sheridan and Delenn, a new Vir, Londo, and G’Kar, which is what the BG reference suggests…I’m not that interested. That type of reboot has been done to death.
  2. The tweets do not make me feel better. I’d rather see the story of the first three Babylon stations or something later that wasn’t covered in the movies. Like the story of the advanced human in the last ep of season 4.
  3. Last night I accidentally watched ep 10 first. So I didn't know about ep 9 until today when I read Surly. From that perspective, ep 9 wasn't all that bad. Lots of callbacks to movies like Deadpool 2. Really liked the garbage goober bit at the end.
  4. I have and it was good. I think it is this style of animation. It has never done anything for me. Regular animation is fine. Live-action is fine. Even regular CGI, e.g. LotR or Avatar, can be fine. This style may be too close to the uncanny valley for me.
  5. Replenishment of inventories? From where? The factories are shutting down production and some dealers are already looking at 90% decline in new car inventories.
  6. The first ep was strong, but, even though there are entertaining bits, my interest is waning. It is sorta neat, but there is no emotional investment in the characters.
  7. This is why I still haven’t seen Black Panther. It’s the only MCU movie I haven’t seen, because I don’t want to ruin the mystique.
  8. It’s a great way to kill 30 minutes. If you’re looking for the best Trek in the style of TNG, try the Orville. If you’re looking for a fun romp in a familiar universe, try Lower Decks. Not too sure about the Pakled hate on the show. It seems like a spoof of the Ferengi as the big bad in ST:TNG S1, but it also seems like a back door way to make fun of the regards.
  9. I bought a Lenovo Flex 14 2-in-1 Convertible Laptop, 14 Inch FHD Touchscreen Display, AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Processor, 12GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB NVMe SSD, Windows 10, 81SS000DUS, Black, Pen Included for my wife last Christmas. If you aren’t doing GPU-intensive stuff, it’s a compact, quick laptop. Right in your price range, too.The touchscreen is superfluous for many, but if you’re used to using an iPad or other tablet, it’s good to have.
  10. Anyone else think, just for a moment, that they're setting up a Boba/Omega romance to imitate Loki?
  11. It wasn’t worth the hype. It wasn’t a bad episode and it answers some questions, but it still hasn’t regained its edge. And it probably won’t.
  12. So I went ahead and got a USB C KVM and a 4-port USB 3.0 hub, both from StarTech. After playing around for a couple of hours, I discovered my main personal laptop, (Asus Republic of Gamers), doesn’t support video out with USB C. I previously had a hub where it did provide video out, but not with the StarTech KVM. Whatever. I used my alternate computer, (Lenovo Legion), and it worked fine. My work computer always worked fine with the KVM.
  13. Thanks. Guess I’ll get a hub. I was hoping for an all-in-one solution. I found a couple of older ones that don’t support USB C, but it seems that the industry hasn’t caught up to all USB setups.
  14. Bump. I'm looking for a KVM for home. I have a single, widescreen monitor; a single USB Logitech unifying receiver for my keyboard and mouse; a USB headset; and, a USB webcam. I would really like a KVM that uses USB C to connect to the computers and has three USB (preferably 3.0) ports to share these peripherals. Four USB ports would be even better. The monitor will accept USB C, HDMI, and DisplayPort. I only need to support two laptops at a time, but I wouldn't be upset if it supported more. And if I could get a KVM that passes through power, awesome. After spending a couple of hours looking, it seems like no one is making a modern KVM, or, if they do, it only has ports for one or two USB devices. Thanks for any help.
  15. Yep, just a series about vore shit. Guys riding around on enormous fleshlights.
  16. My kid won an award for his AP English class this year, his worst subject. The subject where he’d have Aspie meltdowns in middle school. (He’s actually on the spectrum.) I asked him about it, he said he was just better at it than the rest of the class.
  17. That’s pretty much what I said, though I knew that a comic fan would be along to criticize my use of the word “multiverse” because I’m too lazy to look up the overarching term for the entirety of everything.
  18. They’re going to run the Marvel franchise into the ground by going full comic-book on the multiverse. That’s not a criticism, just the best path forward. Otherwise you end up with the historical hodgepodge of separate universes, frequent reboots, and failure to extract every last dime from fans.
  19. I have no problem quitting on shows. There are very few shows, in fact, that I’ve watched all the way through, especially in the pre-binge era. R&M has settled into comfortable sitcom territory. It still has the promise of developing the overall plot(s), (Evil Morty, etc.), but even without that, the eps can be entertaining.
  20. LOL. The scene isn’t of pussy eating, it’s a now-cringe discussion at the beginning of the movie.
  21. Not too long ago I rewatched Pulp Fiction. It occurred to me, as I explained the ninja sword to my teenage son who wandered through the room, that the collection of characters and aesthetic is just one step above the urban legends that make up Less Than Zero (the novel). Doesn’t mean it wasn’t a great movie that changed the path of the industry, but parts of it are as cringe as the pussy eating scene in Chasing Amy.
  22. FATWS needed to be longer, maybe 12 eps, and include the virus plot (or another subplot). It needed to be slower and to give the plot time to marinate. It ended up being formulaic and almost checkbox-driven. Not just show us once to establish the plot element, e.g. not being able to trade on his name with the bank, but actually make us feel something. WV and Loki had no problems in that regard.
