  1. Yes. He hasn't been Barnstorming Beto, but he's most likely to do a public event tied to a fundraiser in the same area. I had a friend who went to see him not long after the Harris/Trump debate and said his messaging and delivery now is much better than at the beginning of the campaign. Would love to see an ad where it puts Cruz dribbling a basketball off his knee next to Allred sacking a QB.
  2. This is a good site as well. Progress Texas hosts it and it's easy to navigate and gives extra information like voter ID requirements and polling places and times. It's also multilingual with English, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin and Vietnamese. (I KNOW!!, the dreaded immigrants!) Go Vote Texas Also a great source for any questions for voting (early, in person, overseas or by mail) or to report any suppression crap going on at any polling site (inside or out) is the Texas Voter Hotline - 844 TX VOTES (844-898-6837). Its 8-5 up until early voting, and then 7-7. Also can look up polling times and locations for you. My Texas Votes TDP site
  3. It's almost like he's saying having to use car seats is slowing down procreation because it's either too inconvenient to strap all the babies in, or too limiting because you are constrained by the number of car seats you can fit in a car? But then he mentions how everyone should use car seats, so who the fuck knows? Maybe just retract the car seat laws and let people take their chances if they want? I guess if you have 8 kids instead of 2 then losing one or two in a wreck wouldn't hurt so bad.
  4. But that is going to work against all the contenders. Hopefully the voters take into account it's not about survivability, but prowess and skill as a player, for whoever the candidates are.
  5. Will they pull NIL money out of other sports (softball) to shore up the football program?
  6. Bet he wrote "incredibly stupid" first.
  7. I'm not sure if that happened, but it wouldn't be a horrible accusation to toss out and see who bites on it. To think our state is being run basically by Dunn, Wilkes and the cartel. Interesting.
  8. I've always held the belief that player development was key in building a strong team. What I didn't place enough weight on was the development of a staff who could develop talent around a core culture of belief in the program, the athletes and the staff. That we have now, and like so many of you have said, kids want to play here, coaches want to coach here, because Sark put this together. When you think about all the stress he had to be under from without and within a program as large as UT, it makes one marvel at his inner strength. Makes you think maybe the journey he has been on has brought him to this point. Not only the addiction, but the heart issues he faced at Bama. Instead of cratering and giving up, he's taken the challenge to learn from his past and work harder to make not only his world better moving forward, but also for everyone around him. To help them be the best they can. It's hard to describe without it sounding like a knob slobber, but suffice to say, he's a very unique person in the world of sports and we are lucky to have him. As are the people who work with him and under his tutelage.
  9. I don't know about the OD stuff, but I do know that tons of money has flowed into counties all across the country from Biden's programs for the CARES act (which morphed into the American Rescue Plan Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, and all the money that gone into the infrastructure act (which is extremely hard to trace in Texas). Here's a link to click on to check out how your county fared. This link is only for Texas counties, and yes it says Lubbock, because Lubbock county is highlighted in this link. https://www.lubbockcounty.gov/egov/documents/1640033710_62425.pdf
  10. Texas Reps are already lining up to implement our own electoral college on all statewide offices, in an effort to offset the popular vote potential in the large Metro areas.
  11. Username and all.
  12. How many coaches beyond Sark could have developed Quinn to this point? Of if not coaches, then what staffs? Maybe Kiffen? Gundy? Riley? Apparently being a premier QB whisperer alone doesn't make one a great head coach. Saban wasn't one, but he was a coach bright enough to hire good ones. I'd like to think we are in the unique situation of having both the whisperer and HC covered by the same person. But the point really is, I don't think QE ever gets developed to this quality anywhere else. Which would have been a shame. Bright people like the Mannings recognize this and buy in too.
  13. Reminded me of this instance: And then he stiffed them for the bill after telling the crowd he would take care of them. Guess that's part of the greatness he wants to bring back
  14. Gigem247: the only place where VIP is automatically the acronym for Very Ignorant Person.
  15. UT - 44 CSU - 13 WR - 225
  16. My cousin went up and has been working as a volunteer on the floor and behind the curtains. She said The Chicks are performing the anthem. And also a rumor Taylor is in the house too. So maybe that's Beyonce and not TS? She got to watch Stevie Wonder practice yesterday. Posts in TT.
  17. The outtakes during the closing credits were funnier than the movie. Only reason I know is my Gen Z kid enjoyed it and wanted to watch it all. Otherwise, I would have bailed about halfway through.
  18. That's easy enough. As soon as they know their mailing address, have them fill out one of these applications and send it to your County Election Administrator/Clerk. Link for Texas VBM application. The sooner you get it in, the better. Suggestion to follow it up with a call to EA to insure it arrived and was properly logged. AND it's something you have to do every year, not just once. Goes for anyone expected to be out of their voting county during early voting and ED.
  19. Walz reminds me of a mash up of these two icons:
  20. That dork and his red tie/black suit. Can see him dressing like that on Saturday night on the prowl for some Kougar Karen.
  21. Probably the biggest reason you aren't seeing more Harris signs is everyone is holding off until the VP announcement to get both candidates on the signs. I would expect to see more hitting the streets in about 2 weeks. I think Trump fully believes that no matter how the election goes, he's got the system in place to overthrow it. He's saving his campaign dollars for lawyers and insurrection organizers instead of actually trying to win the election.
  22. I seem to remember it being called in a few high school games I attended.
  23. I would guess they are at least getting partially funded (if not fully) to just keep shit stirred up. Folks like Tim Dunn wouldn't break a sweat putting 20-30 agitators on a payroll somewhere. IRS should audit a few to find out.
