I usually leave the room during his AB's. I cant handle the awful approach and him chasing everything. Not sure how he made it this far. There are MANY times he does not look like a baseball player in the OF and on the bases.

Josh Jung is conflicted.

He wants to be back in the Rangers lineup. He understands he probably won’t be 100%. He isn’t certain, however, what percentage is good enough.

After a week of rest and a cortisone injection in his right wrist, Jung will try to swing again on Friday as the Rangers anxiously await his return to an offense that has underperformed all season. It is a “big test,” Jung said. On the verge of returning to the lineup last week, Jung dealt with inflammation in the area where his wrist was shattered by a pitch in April.

“My heart wants to be back out there, to help the team, especially when we are in kind of a rut,” Jung said Thursday. “What difference I can make, I don’t know. What percentage I’ll be, I don’t know. That’s where the [inner] conflict comes from.”

If batting practice goes well, the Rangers may consider “easing” him back onto the field, by playing him every other day or giving him a day off each series as he continues to build back strength.
