Dana Brown on a possible Hunter Brown extension:

“We had some discussions with Hunter Brown about two years ago and we expect that to heat up again. Look, he’s got Boras, so it won’t be easy. But at the end of the day, we will definitely talk to Hunter Brown about an extension at some point.”

Salazar is underrated. He’s a very good defensive player and despite the snafu with Framber he works extremely well with pitchers and gamecalling. He doesn’t strike out much and can run into a homer every so often. Hes only a fit at the bottom of the order but if hes the backup C next year I would be totally ok with that. I would much rather Houston spend money improving the OF or the farm system rather than displace Salazar if that’s the choice they’re faced with.

Can Paredes play 2B?

If Paredes can play 40/50 games at 2B while Altuve DHs and Yordan plays LF, then I don’t think the IF is all that crowded. He should get another 20 games at both 3B and 1B while Correa and Walker rests. He should also get the DH spot when it’s not occupied by Yordan and Altuve.

He hasn’t been at 2B since 2023 when he played 14 games for the Rays.

I believe his value to the Astros is likely higher than any other franchise due to his ability to pull the ball to left field.

If he can’t play 2nd, then Altuve won’t get as many games at DH which would be a problem at his age.

Also I’m hoping Espada has been told that Nick Allen should be a late inning defensive replacement only.

I’m ready for Pitchers and Catchers to report.

The infield is not crowded because the injury bug will inevitably hit. To think they we are going to have to squeeze Paredes into the lineup somewhere day in and day out is hilarious considering one of our current players can't even get a massage without breaking a bone.

I was trying to think positively but yes I was assuming perfect health which isn’t likely.

Maybe if the infield is crowded the team will stay healthy all season. Like some cruel joke from the baseball gods

What about Alou pissing on his hands?

This might explain how he slipped on the treadmill and reinjured the knee.

Why do people continually want to put a player with the apparent bone density of a 98 year old woman in left field?

maybe we can fix him ....

This might be the greatest rotation ever once these guys all fall into place.

Why do people continually want Espada to have more options. He needs less fucking options
