  1. If you can’t bring back Nigel, interview Oliver instead! Love it
  2. So they all stand and start pointing. At which point he then turns and goes in motion while the linemen are still pointing. Like I said I get the gimmick. But no one ever stood and came set. They stood and started pointing at assignments, as he then goes in motion. As the refs have stated before, no one came set. I posted that on my feed as well, it was clear as day
  3. Ok so I can’t post my video here but how was it not illegal motion? 3 snapshots as they are down, they stand and start pointing and the TE goes in motion….
  4. This was about 45 minutes before sunrise in Vernon. It was so damn bright we could see our walks into our stands perfectly prior to that. I was laughing that at first light in front of me it was bright and getting brighter while behind me was bright.
  5. Been thinking about a howa mini action and dropping in a shorty lightweight chasis. Make a poor man’s Q fix or poorer man’s elf owl/pork sword. But I’ve got a 8.6blk upper plan along with a suppressor that would work with it…. My wife is gonna killed me
  6. Lmao I was gonna say no way! Free range as in its free to range from this thicket to that feed plot
  7. Have a buddy that bought a sig cross and waypoint. One in 6.5cm and one in .308… don’t know which is which but he said he likes the weight reduction of cross but he keeps going back to the waypoint.
  8. Of course ManC gets the softest draw. So remind me, they don’t bracket until next round right? After this round they’ll reseed and put them in a bracket correct?
  9. Yeah as said, it’s really about consoles and streaming devices not handheld devices. They want users to now register extra locations as $8 extras. The “traveling” loophole means you can take your “guest” iPhone to the “home” account and connect to their WiFi, that “checks out” a 30 day traveler guest. Once that phone connects to the “guest” Wi-Fi that locations Netflix will be gtg. Although I think Samsung TVs that have Netflix app don’t work right and won’t sync up. I think it’s Samsung TVs
  10. Yep now you have to connect to Netflix from account holders home WiFi once every 30 days to keep sharing, which is now considered “traveling”
  11. Leave the world behind. Interesting story. Didn’t care for the ending, my wife was super pissed at the ending… she did not like the little girl, lol. The social commentary was amusing, the youthful black girl consistently playing the race themes, the older Karen playing the “hear me, let me speak to the manager” motif. It was fine. I will say what irritated me more than anything was no one dressing appropriately for the situations… I kept saying “flip flops?!? Wtf! A sun dress and sandals?!? Dress shoes and slacks?!?” My wife bitches at me hoarding(I don’t) supplies and first aid gear and shit but then watches this movie and says we need lifestraws!!! (No shit, that’s why I buy a box of them every few years when I have leftover FSA $…) Oh and the self-driving cars was something I had bitched/wondered about, as well as On* kill switches in a massive cyber attack. That was a pretty freaky part.
  12. Tomorrow is Atleti Barca
  13. Opened my junk drawer today to find a spare roll of Velcro straps for some new gear strap retention… and I see a large envelope from the ATF…. I pick it up and there is an identical envelope below it, rinse repeat… I holler at my wife “wth?!?” How long ago did these arrive?!? Apparently my brace exemptions all arrived 1-4 weeks ago and my wife thought that fed paper work was unimportant to me since I’m a fed… I told her “this is different, fuck these “rules” but I guess I have a few new SBRs now”
  14. BiL sent this from his stand
  15. So Huxwrx is just OSS rebranded right? Since the FBI awarded them the HRT contract, we get them at a LEO discount now. Damn they are still expensive tho. But Otter Creek Labs, has my interest. Im waiting for him to drop a true can that can handle 8.6blk rounds subs and supers. I know his Lithium can handle 8.6blk subs with a 12” min barrel but since I caved and SBR-braced my 12” .308 AR10, I’m gonna want my 8.6blk upper to be 10”…
  16. The Sierra5 is borked, DA took a “shoot it till it fails and we’ll fix it”. Except a good amount of them had baffle strikes and now they are wayyy behind. The sandman lines aren’t really in the same place as the sierra5(and Mojave I’m guessing if they haven’t fixed their lack of QC on those can designs) Sico just had the same issue and they went the path of doing a massive recall. It’s funny to see the same quality control issue handled completely opposite because of Reddit
  17. Sandman line are tanks. My K is good for taking the edge off any platform, keep it on my home defense 300blk shorty running subs. My S is my hunting can. I have E-Brakes on both of them. I’d suggest getting ebrakes for both, they really do make a difference in flash, gas and first round pop
  18. Yep… We’ve had the same-ish talk with my parents, as they are in the 80s and enjoying retirement. Y’all earned it, busted y’all’s asses for it, enjoy it. There is some land set to be passed to me since it’s tied to other family land and the house on 3 acres that is setup to go to both my sister and me, either rental or sell if we decide. Whatever they accidentally don’t spend will be divided up amongst the 2 of us but they intend to spend every dollar they have coming to them. Only reason I’m getting the land is because I still live close by and my sister is never coming back to Texas, she stated she didn’t want it.
  19. Good episode, that was interesting
  20. Batson challenge is always a big consideration in EDTX outside of the Plano jury pools.
  21. Hah I forgot about flight attendants! They are batshit crazy. That’s more of a rarity in a juror pool but yeah. And if it’s a white collar trial, never take commercial pilots. I always hear them say pilots love to avoid paying taxes and shit.. dunno, I don’t really deal with all that too much but you hear chatter
  22. Every trial team can have their own set of preferences but we are a district that potential jurors tend to be more conservative(it’s changing in one of my courtrooms but for the most part across most of the races, everyone leans much more conservative. So some don’t like young jurors, some don’t like senior citizens, some done like gun enthusiasts, some don’t like overly religious thinkers. Teachers and engineers are my main concerns. Engineers are usually the smartest persons in the room and way too over analytical. Too many bad experiences where we’ve had to let one on and they end up reinvestigating the case and exhibits, or they use the white board in the deliberation room to create their own flowchart… questioning shit that wasn’t even brought up in trial. It’s a pain and can hang a jury when everyone gets frustrated. Teachers, mainly elementary are often too opinionated and can hang a jury because they want to control the room and teach the “kids”/jurors that what they think is the only acceptable conclusion. They are adept at herding cats and it can be problematic in a jury room. I mainly do drug trafficking and child exploitation cases. The kid stuff is usually pretty cut and dry, picking a jury is basically finding 12 that can stomach sitting on that jury(it sad how high a percentage of every jury pool has had familial experience with this stuff) and then the deliberations usually don’t take too long. The drug trafficking takes more work to pick a jury because conspiracy is always a hard concept to explain to a lot of jurors. Which again is where engineers and teachers don’t help
  23. In fed court, that’s usually first up. We all are introduced, ask if anyone knows us, same for defense. We read our witness list, ask, defense usually doesn’t have to read theirs if they even have one. In general if someone does know them, it’s a fine line of follow up to avoid tainting the jury perception… Had someone recognize me once from grade school, I had him cut right away but his answers later were so dumb he was struck for cause. Recognized a few teachers of my children that didn’t realize they were my kiddos teachers. But as I’ve said I don’t like engineers and teachers, those are usually straight peremptory strike if we can’t find cause…
  24. So I can still bring my Challenger?!? Score! Wonder if that was just an oversight
  25. In! It’s gonna have Eastern District of Texas all over it when he comes to Paris for that Fannin County action! All of us have been hype, I had to miss when Ty came to present to us EDTX folks last year, the deputy marshals were all hyped because he brought one of his pistols. My wife liked/didn’t like the first episode; she can’t stomach slave-era trauma. We are in hard
