  1. You know, tiresome camera shots of this: made me doubt the spelling everytime defense or offense comes up. Seriously. Stupid, but seriously. Excellent means of pointing it out, my friend.
  2. People made similar arguments about the N word back in the 80s. "I mean bad people not black people." That may be the intention, but using the word throws a lot of unintended shrapnel. I conceded that the word comes to my mind and there are places for it, but only if everyone present understands and approves. Sorta like the N-word. I will say the N-word with people certain that I only use it to parody racist yokels. If someone uses the N-word at a gathering of people I don't know well, I will make clear that I abhor the word. In some ways, it comes down more to politeness than political correctness. My four volume analysis will soon be published. Look for it at an Amazon near you.
  3. For some reason I looked at this motto as though it were new. I got excited thinking of what this offence can do with an accurate long ball passer. When Arch lives up to the expectation, I think there will be games where teams are blown out before they know what hit them. There will be the excitement of know we can score from anywhere. It takes more than an excellent passing attack to win championships, but it's sure nice to think of what our pass game might look like. Written with no criticism of Ewers.
  4. I don't like it either. We've had the discussion. The word rises like lightning in the mind when considering some people. Most people use it aptly without regard to sex, but it still has that degrading aspect. There is no such word for men. I only use the word when with people who know exactly what I mean. I rarely use it, however. The deacons will pass the collection plate. I'll be in back with the altar boys.
  5. Bondi has a real problem on her hands. I just read wikipedia, and she's crooked: abuses her power and shrugs off ethics. But, what are her moral foundations? I'll pre-empt the obvious rejoinder that she has none. We don't know that. Is she a sociopath who doesn't care about having her name forever tied to a trafficking operation that provided teenagers to old men? I think that dread is what makes the GOPs do their disingenuous reversal on their votes. They're disingenuous through and through, but I doubt any of them are sincere in their votes to cover-up for the president. Their faces may get blend with the crowd. None of them are as isolated in this as Bondi. When this comes up, her name will always be in the first paragraph. The intolerant moral persecution of non-Ward Cleave sexual certainty is despicable, but, say what you will, at least it's an ethos, Dude. I'm guessing that she does not want to be bad guy in this. She's spitting the bit when it comes to trafficking teenage girls to amoral wealthy shitwads. I think Trump's fallback position about "credible" information is a compromise offer. Either don't publish under claim of credibility or publish and paint the whole thing as incredible (I hate what we've done with this word). Not a bad strategy for a public that's so far been willing to collect Trump Big Beautiful Fig Leaves. Accusing Obama and Biden is quite a leap. It's lazy on Trump's part. He's likely going off script to do so. I think the script was Steele Dossier, Russia Hoax, Perfect Phone Call all generated by the deep state. He's peddled that before with putridly favorable results. A lot of this comes down to the soul of Pam Bondi. Pence came to a moment where he stood his ground, and no person exceeded his sychopancy. Well, Pam?
  6. Get off the grass! Uncover! It's tu not UT! Homosexuals! Playful protest with dildos!
  7. It looks more like a hook up than a football show. Mojitos in the hotel bar after whatever we're doing here?
  8. They can do arts and crafts together then tell stories when the lights go out.
  9. Well said. I don't have children, but the horror of those girls' last living moments was deeply disturbing in a way that many stories are not to me. Again, I think of the transition from being happily sleeping or awake in a snug cabin during a heavy rain turning to absolute deadly chaos. It's haunting. Taaffe's tie is tasteful and understated. It invites a question rather than screaming an answer. Compliments to the man.
  10. Sorry, Georgia.
  11. They always show up to help at disasters in full Aggie regalia and act as though they're the only alumni that pitch in. It's just like they're the only ones who fight America's wars. Delusional narcissism.
  12. We got 'em! Republicans in nine-year olds. Support a liar failure sexual predator traitor security risk Russian asset fascist racist child molester? They've got a lot of experience with these moral choices. They always choose evil. They've chosen their side in an illusory war. They will never go to the other side.
  13. Dead? I didn't even know they were sick!
  14. Shocking that he didn't shit talk A&M and say the likelihood of staying in that shit hole were less than nil.
  15. Hey! In seventh grade, we were winning a game and did the Dallas o-line shift throughout our last possession. Maybe my greatest day as a football player.
  16. They were just one win (out of 3) from playing in the SEC Championship Game! One multiple overtime loss killed them. They had a chance to be the first unranked team in the SEC championship and picked to lose by more than three touchdowns. History! It would have been even more historic had they not eked out a narrow win against the Bowling Green Seniors! The Aggie bell cow to championship games this season, Le'Veon Moss says my name is Le'Veon Moss, saved the Aggies with a performance for the ages! Anybody else hear the once sleeping giant yawning, stretching, and scratching his ass with both hands as he rises from the sacred dirt of College Station?
  17. Check into TexAgs, and they'll tell you both that and that all we have is money to attract players.
  18. I was a child in Dallas and grew up in Houston, Carton. I didn't grow up an Aggie, as you apparently did, you fucking poser. I can have more than one team. Deranged shit? Just remember the next time that you start your car, I come from an Irish background, Carton. Other derangements being planned as I type. Damn you!
  19. I'd pay to surgically install the locator for GPS. I'd thought it was like that pirate treasure those idiots are digging for on that island. Betting stories of any kind are death-in-life to listen to. Jerry Jones, Barry Switzer, Deion Sanders in Dallas killed my number two team for me. Bud Shitstain Adams stole number one. I was liberated from the NFL
  20. Murderbot, the tiny books anyway, are a fun diversion with a clever concept. The author puts Murderbot through some interesting experiences where the examination of self awareness is present and, pleasingly, light. You can consider it if you please or just enjoy the ride. The last of the books published so far indicates the writer is sort of stuck. I wonder if she's putting out new material because of demand rather than creative desire. She'll likely have to go deeper to find character development. I love watching the creative process in just about any form. I think I read these soon after finishing The Three Body Problem. Same person recommended the first series and I just discovered the little Murderbot novel(la) on his shelf and loved the idea. A perfect light read and the heavy but enjoyable read of the Chinese author who may just be a genius. I wax. It's been a day of intense concentration, and this conversation is a nice unwinding. @A-Tex Devil, should I check out Micky 17? I know nothing about it. Another fun discovery would be great.
  21. I would also imagine that there is no telling how far downstream victims may have been taken. Grisly days ahead for some unsuspecting people.
  22. It does. I didn't mind the vacation from the Mensah team. They're more interesting on TV than in the books.
  23. Help me find my keys, and we can drive out of here.
