  1. Holding steady around 155 to 160. Feels great. Challenging part is going off diet and not gain it all back. I'm in great condition from the gym though so I'm confident if I keep that up the fitness and not swerve too far off the diet that I'll hold steady at the weight. So far so good.
  2. I recently bought a turntable and started to pick up cheap albums (like the 3 to 5 dollar variety). One of the albums was Midnight Madness by Night Ranger. I never considered myself a huge fan or anythng. Holy fuck, not a bad song on there.
  3. I'm gonna give a prime rib a shot tomorrow. I have no idea what I'm doing.
  4. I'm going through billboard archives and looking at number 1s exclusively trying to find some songs that are lost. I never heard this one and it was number 1 in the early 80s. All the others that I think I don't know (like kenny Roger's and dolly, I immediately know from the songs chorus and hook). Is this one bigger than I think?
  5. OTF had Xavier Worthy's mom on this morning. I would marry that women. Hot, smart, and nice.
  6. Weren't they both in Die Hard 2?
  7. I'm happy for the dude if he's in a good spot.
  8. My other idea for a screen name here was gonna be Stringfellow Hawke. In hindsight I should had just did that.
  9. Totally forgot about this place. Amazing croquettes among other things. https://www.eenamisd.com/
  10. When I worked at OB, my favorite food hack was getting the dirty Mac. My favorite though was the Queensland c&s. Not the best quality wise but rich and hit the right notes.
  11. You ever do this?
  12. Make a run for Lanning. End up with Jedd.
  13. Avoid the Floyd That's my mantra
  14. Well if John madden liked it.... that's good enough for me. Begs the question. How did he end up in Van Horn?
  15. You just ruined my entire childhood. Jerk.
  16. My 1st ever Chuys experience was in Van Horn in like 1985 or 1986 (haley comet year). I loved it as a 9 year old. Can't say anything about it now.

    Vinyl

Alright... thinking about going down this vinyl road. For a player, any prime deals that I should jump at? I played them as a kid in 80s. Haven't dabbled since. I don't have a stereo.
  18. The problem with those commitment threads is that the gatekeepers won't allow critical discussion about that player and it becomes a celebration thread. If you were allowed to comment about how shitty someone is there, maybe we wouldn't be so surprised when he turns out to be shitty when he is here.
  19. I'm a big Jerry Cantrell fan. Wrote most of the AIC stuff, sang in the later albums, and has done some out of the box solo work. And his willie cover...
  20. Live in Phoenix currently and love it but wouldn't want to retire here unless I would be getting a summer place in the white mountains or flagstaff (which is the plan). It's hot as hell right now and I've learned to love that but it can be a little tiresome when you don't even want to leave the house. Lived in Albuquerque, I don't recommend it unless you put yourself in a bubble. It's not terribly big but it's easy to get into some sketchy areas. The weather can and will take some crazy turns. Snow one day and 60s the next. Awesome but unpredictable t storms. I don't know how much the entertainment has improved since I was last there. Isotopes and UNM basketball were the only sports (maybe a minor league hockey or soccer).
  21. Good call. The addition of a battery and the lack of use of a tone knob turned me off of EMG's. The cleans are lacking. I can't put into words, it just doesn't sound like you would want it. The Fishmans have really stepped up from what I have heard and you can get a Heafy epiphone with coil splitting (among other guitars) but I personally haven't tinkered with them to get a real feel if they can play anything besides metal.
  22. I've had both the 81/85 and 81/60 EMG sets. 81/60 was far better IMO. Definitely can hear the differences. With that said, I haven't cranked it in a live setting to know how it will sound and I prefer a seymour duncan JB (I don't have a JB in my neck of my LP, it's a 57 classic) passive set. I am a metal (classic, modern, nu) player.
  23. I'm not a homemade tortilla guy but I'm on a big health kick and Siete Almond Flour tortillas are pretty close to the real thing and lower calories. They are kind of expensive in Sprouts or whole foods but a 20 pack at Costco is a lot more reasonable.
