  1. This is a pretty dumb statement
  2. RIP Mining Company. They also have $20 bottle wine that includes a huge meat/cheese plate during happy hour (until 5pm 😣). Same deal Monday and Tuesday nights.
  3. Whitley will be in the rotation by June. Luhnow will sign some no-name . Brent Strom will modify his delivery and turn him into a Cy Young candidate. I don't see a problem here.
  4. I was in Tokyo 2 weeks ago. Normal ticket machines at train stations will be cash only for purchasing a ticket or recharging metro card. You can most likely use a credit card at the ticket office, but they are only available a the a few main stations like Tokyo Shinjuku Stations. Do yourself a favor and have cash. Found this link https://matcha-jp.com/en/5919
  5. The train stations only take cash, so you probably need to get cash at the airport anyway,. The exchange rate is good, but the fees ATM are ridiculous.
  6. The first thing you need to do when you land in Tokyo is get cash and a suica metro card. Put 000 yen on the card and you are set for all of the trains and subways in Tokyo. Much easier than buying a ticket every time you want to ride. Many places don't take credit cards. You need cash. I spent four nights in Tokyo and still didn't get to see everything I wanted.
  7. I need to find a cat 6 cable. It's faster over WiFi than my 10 year old cable. 430Mbs download this morning.
  8. Someone on the staff?
  9. I do find it stupid how DBs celebrate knocking down a 10 yd completion attempt. Yet two plays later they get burned for a 50 yd TD.
  10. The Marquis II is under new ownership and opens at 2:00pm today. It will remain open.
  11. Keep going until you get to 79th St and you hit El Jardin. Good Tex-Mex
  12. The running game has also looked pretty good the past 4 weeks. No need to rush Foreman back.
  13. Chicken Station This place is affordable and delicious. It's the same chef that used to run Latin Bites when it was downtown. He left Houston for a couple of years and is back. It's a bit out of the way at 7001 Harrisburg Boulevard.
  14. That's true. O'brien did a horrible job at getting this team prepared during the preseason.
  15. This is exactly what I was saying with the wins a few posts up. Should have lost at least three of those shitty played games. I understand a few breaks here and there and some lucky wins, but not as many as this team has had.
  16. Nobie's never disappoints
  17. The Texans deserved to lose those pathetic three games.
  18. I'm not just looking at wins against bad teams, but how they won. Like HTown Horn said, don't count on any of these good teams to miss last second field goals or make dumb coaching decisions like Denver. An ugly overtime win against Indy, and a lucky pick 6 to win the game against a backup Buffalo QB to win the game. The Dallas game was ugly. You could argue that's how good teams win, but it more like the Texans are lucky they aren't .500 The Texans have actually looked like a good team the last three games, so we will see.
  19. Brew Dog is always good for a beer or two. You should check out Cantillon for some rare lambic beers while in Brussels. The place is pretty cool - not your usual beer tour.
  20. GE saved me at LAX this weekend during a 1 hour layover with checked bags from an international flight.
  21. Contrarian? I'm a realist. 9 wins in a row is impressive. The Texans area a pretty good team, but not quite ready to go deep in the playoffs.
  22. I have no doubt the Texans will win the division. I have doubt they will make it past the 2nd round of the playoffs.
  23. Foreman won't see any significant playing time this year. And I am that guy. Yay! 4 field goals!
  24. I'm still waiting for a win against a good team
  25. I will buy everyone on this thread beers if the Texans run the table. I predict 11-5 record. Wouldn't be surprised with 10-6.
