  1. No light rail to the Galleria. I always wonder why people decide to stay in the Galleria area. There isn't much to do out there.
  2. Sirius XM just completed the Pandora acquisition. Expect to see Pandora along with satellite options in new cars soon.
  3. Yeah, they can lie about anything just to get a warrant. Do judges really look at those things? Or do they give it a glance and stamp it?
  4. Miya Shay went to the courthouse to get the warrant. They refused to give it to her at first, but they finally gave it to her after she showed them they have no legal reason to hold it. HPD released it soon afterwards. The confidential informant was an undercover agent who bought meth the day before. I'm also aware an officer can lie just to get a warrant.
  5. You damn well know Greg Abbott would have something to say about it.
  6. You can also add that one of the shooters retreated into a back room, and the proceeded to shoot at the officers a 2nd time.
  7. Well I'm not an expert on helicopters, drugs, and police regulations like others are on this thread. There is probably a logical reason why undercover agents don't wear body cams. Perhaps email Acevedo and you might get an answer.
  8. A couple of my friends visited last November. They say it's a beautiful city. Bring your walking shoes and explore everything. Rooftop restaurants and bars everywhere with views of the sunset. Art everywhere. It's about a out three and a half hours bus ride from CDMX - around $12. The bus from the airport isn't direct, so it's easier to to an Uber to the bus station in the city with the direct route.
  9. I imagine it's pretty hard to wear a body camera when you are an undercover agent. However the uniformed officers should have been wearing them. We don't know how close they were to the house when the shooting happened.
  10. Acevedo stated last night the undercover agents also had 6 uniformed officers with them. They did announce police were coming in.
  11. And you don't have to do Mexico City every time. There is also Oaxaca and Guadalajara. It's a hassle to get to, but I plan on going to San Miguel de Allende this year or next.
  12. I checked out Decatur Bar and Popup Factory. The drinks are very good, but pricey. The larb salad is delicious. The Friday and Saturday dinners look interesting.
  13. I think that is sarcasm? Do you realize how many business would be impacted with multiple airports closing? Not just airline industry, the cities themselves, hotels, and it trickles down.
  14. The country can't afford to have the airports shut down. I believe the GOP even knows this.
  15. This is how you end the shutdown. TSA agents next and the government will reopen.

  22. https://houston.eater.com/2019/1/16/18184669/drink-wine-pringles-can-the-branch-bar-houston A Houston Bar Will Serve Wine Out of Pringles Cans - The Branch for merlot served in the classiest vessel possible Inspired by a Wichita Falls woman barred from a Walmart store for riding around the parking lot with a Pringles can full of wine, Spring Branch bar the Branch will offer Houstonians a similar opportunity to get lit. On Wednesday, The Branch will serve wine in mini cans of Pringles. A photo posted to the bar’s Facebook page indicates that the bar’s “Texas Wine Service” will feature mini cans of (original flavor, for those who are curious) Pringles filled with either chablis or merlot — of the boxed wine variety — for $3 each. No word yet on what Franzia merlot tastes like when mingled with tiny bits of potato chip and salt. The incident that inspired the Branch’s classiest new offering has earned viral attention, and has been written about by countless publications. According to ABC 11 in Wichita Falls, the woman had been roaming the WalMart parking lot on an electric shopping cart with her wine-filled Pringles can for about three hours before police responded to the scene after a call about a “suspicious person.” The woman has not been identified, and was not arrested. The Branch will start slinging wine-filled Pringles cans at 10 p.m. on Wednesday night. Here’s hoping that all who partake will call an Uber instead of heading to the nearest WalMart parking lot. We call this "Texas Wine Service". Suckit, Florida! Your choice of "Chabliss" or "Mer-Lot" for $3. Served in Pringles...
