  1. make sure you wear them with ankle socks. i love the look but my feet get so sweaty in them. i've got the western and i love it. it wears warmer (heavier material, different ventilation etc) than a fishing shirt so it's not my preference for outdoor wear in the 90s but it's one of my favorite shirts in my closet.
  2. Costco's official policy is any card-holding member can bring 2 guests over the age of 18 with them. They don't restrict the number of minors with a card carrying member. I heard a Costco rep on BBC or ITV estimating 30% of people at peak traffic times fall outside of this policy.
  3. that's coming to every costco. can't wait for it to hit the austin stores, they're so packed.
  4. we just got back from scotland this friday. we've got 4 kids so we rented a 9 person sprinter also. drove from london down to portsmouth and flew out of edinburgh. the motorways were easy, but there were some B roads and one-lane village roads with pullouts every 100 yards that were kinda crazy. it wasn't my first time driving in the UK so i knew what i was in for, i can't imagine how someone does that for the first time. we stayed on the royal mile for a week and had to figure out parking for our sprinter during fringe/tattoo. the best spot is a secret travelodge parking lot that charges 24 pounds per 24 hours on cowgate near st mary's. anyone can park there, though hotel guests get a slightly discounted rate. if you're going to try to park on the roads, it's 8 pounds per hour with a 4 hour max. between the hours of 6p and 8:30a it's free with no max hour stay if you're in a marked spot. you can park on the street on a single yellow line after 6p (i think?) until 7a for free with no max.
  5. Inclusive of what, the pkg you listed above? StubHub has 27 tix in section 40 starting at $463, 25 of which are < $750.
  6. what's the standard for a noticeable front, 10 degrees off the highs?
  7. Yeah. That's the thing with him. I haven't been able to follow them since post ASB..... Tell me we're looking alright. T

    Mr Gatti's

growing up we had a gatti's at preston and park in plano that was a treat to go to. a pizza and pasta buffet where we can watch a giant tv showing cartoons while we eat? YES. we went to the gattitown in RR in feb 2020 two weekends before covid starting getting major attention. the entire place was so dirty- sticky tables, greasy glasses, dirty forks, slippery floors (that weren't wet!), and it was packed to the gills. pretty much turned me off gattis forever. and now you're putting them into walmarts?
  11. it'll be hestia or dipdipdip tatsuya and we'll all have a great laugh. really though they'll be looking for something uniquely regional and unless they're familiar with austin i'm afraid they'll miss the mark.
  12. 6 minutes til Biden announces he's abandoning the race. That after yesterday he realizes he wants no part of this
  13. I don't know how well known this is but St Andrews has a putt putt course called Himalayas you can play on for cheap. Less than 10 GBP per person. They start taking reservations 3 days out but even without reservations you won't have a problem walking up.
  14. A shame it's not a few shades of orange more burnt.
  15. take a shot every time you hear "changing of the guard"
  16. it has not been a good year for those 3. cease's ERA is kinda nuts for how well he's been pitching. k/bb is really good, career best WHIP, BABIP is average. but 4+ ERA.
  17. They're all for me, I've been going through several a day this summer.
  18. Costco is my Disneyland, it's such a magical place. I impulse buy there so much it's becoming a minor problem. I went in for laundry detergent and Salonpas patches and came out $350 later with only one of them. Rinse and repeat every other week.
  19. i don't like novak but this is pretty funny. those guys were idiots.
  20. KFC - 8 dark pieces for $10 on Tuesdays
  21. Klopp is #1 for me full stop. Pep, Tuchel, Poch, would be nice. I don't think any of those are realistic though. After that there's a clear gulf in quality. Managing the shortened window is important. We could potentially only have 12 matches (friendlies and competitive combined) before 2026 WC. You're right though, there aren't many guys out there with national team experience. Of the ones that do, the two names I've heard the most -Hugo Perez and Javier Aguirre- aren't very compelling but I'd take them over Steve Cherundolo. Perez - former USMNT player, was a scout and manager in our 12U and 15U ranks, most recently was El Salvador manager. Did decently well at first but really fell off towards the end. Highlights - his El Salvador squad tied the USMNT twice and lost once (1-0), almost qualified for 2022 WC. Aguirre - former Mexican coach, took Mexico to knockout rounds in 2002 (dos a cerooooo) and 2010. Has he been out of the game too long though? This really feels like a Klopp or bust situation.
  22. With how little time we have before 2026 we need someone who's familiar with the workings of a national team. Cherundolo is not that.
