  1. Finally thinking in terms of negotiating from positions of strength Le Monde: US no longer opposes Ukraine's invitation to join NATO This became known after the talks between Joe Biden, Emmanuel Macron, Olaf Scholz, and Keir Starmer in Berlin on October 18. The source also noted that the change in Washington's position might influence the decision of Berlin, which is still against inviting Kyiv to the alliance.

  3. Interesting thread on a (now dead) Russian soldier that includes previously posted videos related to the soldier's experiences
  4. ess than 48 hours, Moldova will stand before one of the most significant sets of elections in its history, a day which in all likelihood, will finally and definitely see the country truly break away from Russia: a referendum to inscribe EU accession into its very constitution, alongside a very crucial presidential election. According to the polls, both the EU referendum as well as the pro-EU candidate Maia Sandu (current president), stand to win overwhelming victories, and just to add to the legitimacy, those victories will probably be won with a massive voter turnout (estimated to go as high as 75%), all while the pro-Russian candidates stand to register crushing defeats. Knowing it essentially stands to "lose" Moldova for good, Russia has been burning through all the means at its disposable to prevent and if needed overturn the result of this election: from economic pressure and propaganda, to very direct military threats aimed at frightening the population into submission and outright flying-in Wagner mercenaries and training pro-Russian individuals willing to stage a coup. Despite everything, this small nation of not even 3 million souls and limited economic means, with one separatist and one autonomous region both controlled by Moscow, a country that was totally dependent on Russian gas pre-2022 and one that has Russian troops on its very soil, survived it all and stands to serve Russia a defeat which will echo far beyond Moldova.
  5. The role the GOP should've been playing in one accord this entire time Why has the Biden-Harris Administration failed to actively brief Congress about the movement of North Korean troops into Russia? Today, I sent a letter to President Biden demanding that his administration give @HouseIntel answers and that the use of North Korean troops against Ukraine must be a red line for the United States and NATO.
  6. Her reaction has turned into a meme on the Israeli side, but there's so much going on with this video that it's worth posting regardless:
  7. Encouraging. We could use some fresh and principled voices
  8. Another video showed there were people on top. As you said, the round probably went straight through and those on top were actually protected enough to walk away... who knows for how long
  9. Russian forces have launched an offensive in the Velyka Novosilka axis, Zaporizhzhia region, and have reportedly made some advances, according to Vanek Nikolaev, a well-regarded Ukrainian correspondent. The Velyka Novosilka axis was one of the directions in which Ukraine launched its 2023 summer offensive and managed to recapture territory. He compared the situation to the events in Vovchansk (Kharkiv region) in May, where despite reports of being "ready," it turned out they were not. Currently, Russian forces have reportedly advanced towards the settlements of Levadne and Novodarivka.
  10. Really stuck the landing
  11. If it helps with perspective, it was above $9 in April!
  12. Maybe it's the Mossad pager operation in my head, but these North Korean and Iranian stocks keep getting blown up. Makes me wonder if Ukraine is receiving intel from some allies. Or, maybe it's Russians giving it all up
  13. Who would be willing to die for a little money? "North Korea is likely to deploy members of its regular armed forces to Ukraine in support of Russia, South Korea's defense chief said Tuesday, in the latest sign of deepening military cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow... 'As Russia and North Korea have signed a mutual treaty akin to a military alliance, the possibility of such a deployment is highly likely,' Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun told lawmakers during a parliamentary audit session."
  14. NEW The Washington Post is out with new reporting on how the Mossad got those pagers into the hands of Hezbollah. Hezbollah operatives were enticed by the bulky, rugged pagers that were pitched to them because they felt they could survive battlefield conditions. They were waterproof and had an oversized battery that could operate for MONTHS without charging. The pagers also allowed encrypted messages to be sent but there was a catch. In order for the encrypted message to be read, the user had to press two buttons at the same time. That’s how the Mossad insured that most Hezbollah members had the pagers in their hands when they exploded. The pagers contained such a tiny amount of the explosive PETN that even if Hezbollah broke open the pagers, they wouldn’t be able to detect its presence. So where did the idea come from? The Mossad already got walkie talkies in the hands of Hezbollah back in 2015. The walkie talkies contained an extra large battery and also gave the ability of Mossad to eavesdrop on ALL Hezbollah communications, which it did for nine years. Gift Link: bit.ly/3NgJDNu Edit to add: the 2015 ones also contained explosives and those are what Israelis set off the the day after the first round.
  15. Biden finally let Ukraine take the gloves off!
  16. Lots of different claims going around. These seem to be the most reliable. Interesting development with the downed in a friendly fire incident Russian aircraft this morning on the Donetsk front. With more videos of the wreckage and the moment of the crash now available, the consensus is that it was a Russian Sukhoi S-70 Okhotnik-B stealth heavy unmanned combat aerial vehicle and not just a Su-25. Some Russian reports claim they actually shot down their own Sukhoi S-70 Okhotnik-B UAV - presumably because they lost control of it & didn't want it to crash in #Ukraine held territory. It's a giant unmanned stealth recon drone, with a wing span of 65ft - so easy to mistake as a fighter jet (2nd pic not related).
  17. Can we pin this @immamac
  18. I can't speak for him, but I'm sure he's willing to not slam his dick against Chinese ships.
  19. IRAN IS MEDIATING DISCUSSIONS BETWEEN RUSSIA AND THE HOUTHI TO EQUIP THE GROUP WITH ADVANCED ANTI-SHIP MISSILES. 🇷🇺 🇮🇷 Russia is in discussions with the Houthis, via Iran, to transfer long-range Onyx anti-ship missiles for use against Western ships. The Houthis have already been targeting military and commercial vessels in the Red Sea. In June, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that if the West continues to allow Ukraine to strike Russia, Moscow could supply long-range weapons to forces willing to retaliate against Western nations.
