  1. Like i said on and off. Left the golf course i had been at 4 years to go to a different one for more pay. I like the members and the staff i work with directly but my GM now is one of those who's not happy unless he's complaining about something. Very micro managing, just not fun. Still issues with my wife's oldest who lives there in Austin but I cant go into it publicly. Been off my meds a few weeks, I have thoughts but not emotional ones I want to act on. Did shoot a year low round of 68 on the golf course and promptly followed that with a foot injury we thought was plantar fasciitis but after steroids a cortisone shot and an MRI we think its a nerve issue. Step daughter was named to Homecoming court last week so that was nice. So yeah, on and off. I just cant seem to sleep enough.
  2. Just bumping this to check in. Been an on and off last couple months.
  3. Thoughts and prayers to your colon
  4. Being born in NOLA all family from there but grew up in Texas since I was 5 I've never had to choose between LSU and UT. By far my 2 favorite schools. About the only outcome I don't want to see is a 10-7 snooze fest. Hoping there are lota of both big plays and big hits on both sides.
  5. This Hoff kid is intriguing from Katy.
  6. So whats the net on the 40 man roster? Not everyone going to AZ was on the 40
  7. Name the last big name free agent in their prime they signed
  8. Seems Rockets always miss out on adding free agents. My opinion is players around the league either dont want to play with Harden or dont want to play in D'antoni's system in either case the Rockets will continue to go nowhere
  9. Lot of courses getting in another aerification soon if they havent already. I know for Houston area that Cypress Lakes did one last week, Cypresswood Tradition where i was working did one Tuesday the 28th and Meadowbrook Farms in Katy where i start working at next week is scheduled for June 10.
  10. So yesterday was Sammie's 17th birthday, i spent half the day at the cemetary with her. Cleaned it up around her headstone and all. The drive over is always nerve wracking. But obviously I made it thru. I also turned in my resignation at work at my golf course last Wednesday a week ago today. I wasnt really expecting an offer but got one 20 minutes into the interview with another golf course. I've been at this club 4 years, turning in my 2 week was also anxiety riddled. This is the grouo of people i had worked with since before Sammie's passing. They didn't stand in my way of leaving and maybe I'm just being butthurt but they also not once asked what the offer was, was there anything they could do to change my mind or even just ask me to stay. I've heard some of the interviews for people to replace me and they're hiring them in at a rate i waited 3 years to get to and thats with no PGA schooling. So now I'm wondering if i was here because they didn't want to let me go but they're glad I'm leaving? Or maybe its just my depression questioning everything. The new golf club is a shorter drive and a fairly healthy raise of $3 an hour of my current rate plus lessons going from $20/30 mins to $60/hour. My last day is Friday and i know business goes on, its not like I'm irreplaceable but maybe I'm just being overly sensitive and butthurt
  11. Its been about 3 1/2 months since i posted here and well here i am. Its May and it should be Sammie's 17th birthday coming up. I feel myself shrinking back into my shell. Outwardly I'm doing a great job of acting the part of doing ok, inwardly I'm a mess. There's what feels like 5000 thoughts in my head every second and i cant focus on any of them. Inside i feel like I'm shaking and cant relax, i sleep but i dont rest. Dont think i can open up to my wife because theresa lot on her/our plate. One of her twins drowned their car in last weeks storms and its totaled but the payment is short of the payoff and of course they need a car but its not in the finances. Last time i traded out of my car to get them this one and that didnt last a year. The female twin i fear is approaching Sammie level depression. Seems like nothing makes her happy. Im happy at work i guess but also feel anxiety because i feel like i dont totally belong. I feel like im there because they know I'm dependable and reliable. In 4 years there aside from Sammie's death, I've never missed a day sick, hell I've never even been late for work. Maybe its because I'm at least 10 years older than everyone else there but i just feel awkward there as much as i try to fit in. I've had some very weird, very vivid dreams ... none of them pleasant. I'm fighting but there are times I'm tired of fighting. I cant end life myself but i wish sometimes someone would end it for me if that makes sense. But i am still kicking right now.
  12. Tea (sweet or unsweet) is terrible and no amount of sugar or anything else you put in it will make it taste good.
  13. My step kids asking if i mind if they wash my car. Like I'm going to say no
  14. Houston radio just got better with Josh Innes being fired at 610
  15. Every course in Houston seems to be wet, is there anywhere in Austin or San Antonio Antonio thats dry and possibly off cart path?
  16. All the coaches seem to be of the mindset like they're really just coaching almost like a college all star game and enjoying it. Sure its competitive and they want to win but definitely not under pressure
  17. I think i read somewhere there's some sort of territorial type rights to players so why you see so many Texas college players for San Antonio
  18. If you take Polian at his word that they're not trying to compete with the NFL but rather be a feeder system to the NFL then its watchable i suppose.
  19. There have been many mistakes. But not enough to warrant the extra $ that CC charges. That said, once you get your new ones i would take them to a golf galaxy, pga Superstore or whatever is near and have the lie and loft checked on each club. I have personally seen up to 2 degrees difference in loft from what specs are.
  20. Ive had 2 aces in my life, and carded my first eagle of 2019 last Sunday on the par 5 7th at Cypresswood Tradition. Greens are not good right now though. Had a fungus in the fall finally dried out enough to treat it then more rain and then turned cold. Cypress course greens are good right now though if it ever stops raining
  21. I'm hanging in I guess, Dr changed my meds around and so far so good not feeling as many ups and downs.
  22. Family joined a planet fitness last week so the journey begins. I'm down 3 pounds in a week. 16 yr old step daughter is down 4. So far everyone is on board with going regularly but then again teenagers which would you rather do work out or homework.
  23. Is there anything that precludes someone from paying a fine in loose pennies? Asking for a friend.
  24. Ok never posted in this thread so I'm sure this post will be a dumb one. I want to get in better shape for my golf swing and just in general. I'll be 50 in April this year, not wanting to bulk up but just maybe get more flexible. I see a chiropractor and massage therapist regularly. Everything near me (Cypress, Tx) area seems to be cross fit but none that works on my schedule since my work changes week to week. If i go into work at 11, i dont want to do a 6am class. And with days starting to get longer especially after time change in March there'll be nights i dont leave work until 930 or 10pm. Help?
