  1. Well then he has the worst fucking lawyers that billions can buy. That’s why I had to take the whole plot point with a grain of salt. The lawyers would be fucking all over that change of control right from the second they got the call from ATN about the deal.
  2. Looks like Wulaw got through to the front office and coaching staff this is dreadful 😂
  3. Perhaps this is not the right thread for this, but the more I poke around the more I’m realizing that $20k for my Tahoe is really light on the trade-in offer from the dealer I’m getting my Bronco through. How would y’all go about finding a private buyer? I have various “offers” from KBB, Autortrader, Carvana, Texas Direct Auto and they are all appreciably higher than $20k. Autotrader puts the retail value just south of $30k. I’d like to find a private buyer - is my best bet to put a detailed online ad in Autotrader? Thanks in advance.
  4. How are you liking it 2 months in, Cooter? Biggest complaints? Best things you like about it? Have you taken long highway trips with the soft top? I ask because I committed to buy a Sasquatch Outer Banks this week. Yes, paying over MSRP as I didn’t order one, but it is so perfect for what I want in a new rig that I jumped at it. I drove an ‘89 Bronco in high school that had the top off a lot. I’m getting $20k trade-in for my 2013 Tahoe with 83,000 miles. I couldn’t turn it down. I figure even paying over MSRP that I can do quite well if I decide I want out of it. It’s also in a color that was already discontinued for 22.
  5. Definitely not. Still no boarders at DV, right?
  6. Hell yes! We are going to Crested Butte for the first time this March. Any experts wanna give me the TLDR version of a family trip - 4 adults, 7 kids under 8 - at CB? We are flying to Gunnison direct which is huge. I’m tired of the Denver to I-70 corridor beating.
  7. I haven’t had a new car in a long time - not a big gearhead myself. But I’m getting the new Bronco in a few days and I’m really fucking excited. Total nostalgia buy having driven an 89 Bronco in high school but man it’s gonna be a fun ride.
  8. So many conversations last night where I had to cover my eyes it was so cringe-inducing. That conversation between Shiv and her mom was down on the list of knife-cutting conversations. And then Roman. What a dumbass. 😂
  9. Also, at its core, Succession is a comedy (I think you have to think of it this way to truly enjoy it how Armstrong, McKay and Ferrell intend it to be). The cycle of the same shit that the kids go through to be loved by a monster who could not care less about them emotionally is part of the schtick and adds to the absurdity that is Succession. It’s the shitshow at the fuck factory.
  10. Agree that the big picture plot seems to plod and get a bit competitive (the backing of a fascist episode was a “nice” “break” from that) but the writing is so fucking good every episode that I could not care less. I fucking love this show.
  11. But a 15 year deal for Correa in no way makes that any more likely than not signing him, smartly allocating resources elsewhere and trying to extend the window with the core that is signed long-term. Or, in a best case scenario, somehow getting Correa back on a 6-7 year deal. There is zero doubt he’s running it like a business and not a fanboy, but (and thank you for clarifying you’re not saying he’s cheap) those decisions have paid off so far and I believe him when he says he’s in it to extend the window and be ultra-competitive as long ad he’s owner. Is he lucky that Altuve basically told Boras to get it done? Probably. But other than a couple of less-than-catastrophic mistakes that happen to all teams like the the Gomez trade (fuck, as I type this I’m realizing that was incredibly catastrophic, but not for baseball reasons) he hasn’t approved any decisions that have been really poor in hindsight. Making the wrong decision on a 10 or 15 year contract, when you don’t have the TV revenue of the Dodgers or Yankees, can cripple a team long-term.
  12. For an owner who has a team on a 5 year heater in the LCS, WS yada yada, you sure have a big stick up your ass about Jim Crane. Jesus, give it a rest. There is absolutely nothing he has done to earn a reputation of being a cheap - or anything less than savvy - owner. He knows what he’s doing.
  13. This will probably get this thread CR’d quicker than a knife fight in a phone booth, but let’s take a look at the only known direct insight into these parents in their own words, as far as I know: https://www.thedailybeast.com/ethan-crumbley-identified-as-oxford-high-school-michigan-mass-shooter?ref=home Read that article and you’ll come to no other conclusion that his parents knew exactly what might happen and they seemingly fucking encouraged it.

  15. This turned out amazing. I cobbled it together from a few different recipes and incorporated the rosemary on my own, so I’m posting the recipe here as much for memorializing it myself as anything. Obviously you can use whatever cheese you like but I wanted a strong cheddar combined with a mild and creamy cheese for texture. 1 (16-oz) box small shells ½ cup butter ½ cup all-purpose flour 4 cups milk 1 lb butterkase cheese, grated (Muenster, Gouda, havarti, similar cheese is fine) 1 lb sharp white cheddar cheese, grated Salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste Dash cayenne pepper 2 cups fresh bread crumbs (french bread or brioche buns in a food processor works well) 3 Tbsp butter, melted Fresh rosemary, finely chopped Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease a 9x13x2-inch baking dish. Cook pasta 2 minutes shy of al dente directions. Drain. In a large saucepan, melt ½ cup butter. Slowly whisk in the flour and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Slowly whisk in milk until well blended. Reduce heat to medium and cook 5 minutes, until thickened. Stir in butterkase and cheddar cheeses. Remove from heat. Stir in salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and garlic powder. Combine cheese sauce and pasta, stir to coat. Spoon pasta into prepared pan. Combine fresh bread crumbs, melted butter, and rosemary. Sprinkle on top of pasta. Bake uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes, until topping is golden brown.
  16. I made a new mac (shells) n cheese for today’s lunch. Pre-made last night and going to bake for 30 mins at 350 right before lunch to finish.
  17. Sure would like to be in the middle of that contract for Correa!
  18. My 7 year olds didn’t even complain about a sore arm. 🤘
