  1. It depends on the fan boi. Some fan bois are very much into the version of Star Wars they grew up with, and hate everything after. Some fan bois like everything with the Star Wars name and will rage if you say anything bad about even the worst Star Wars things. Some fan bois just like Star Wars things a lot and don't really care if you do or not. I used to be in that second category. I don't have the time or energy to be that person any more. I'm now in the third. That's where I left off. Signed up for the full D+/H/E+ premium bundle yesterday and watched the first 5 episodes last night. It's so good.
  2. In China, they actually count this way. A newborn baby is 1 year old; their next birthday, they turn 2, and so on.
  3. Whoa. I mean... I'm unsurprised at OU losing skill players and having to plumb the depths of FCS for replacements. But that's a great defensive coach with an NFL-ready defense. The only thing I can think is that either this guy isn't any good after all, OR... the wheels really ARE falling off the Schooner.
  4. but I gotta shit ton of picks. doesn't that count for something? in this economy?
  5. And he explicitly says that he doesn't know IF the player will learn what he thinks the player needs to learn; just that, in his eyes, here's what the player needs to do.
  6. Leaning that way. The nice thing about an inexpensive guitar is that you don't worry so much about breaking anything. The not so nice thing is that it was cheap because it was built in Indonesia, and with tariffs... it isn't cheap any more.
  7. Milroe could be a good quarterback. But he's got a lot of areas he needs to develop in to become what Warner considers a good NFL qb. Kurt never offers an opinion of where a guy should be drafted, does he suck or rule, etc. His opinions take the form, "Here's what this guy does well and needs to improve upon in order to succeed as an NFL QB." It's both more straightforward and nuanced. He thinks Ewers has fewer flaws, and his flaws are more easily correctable, than the average Surly loudmouth/bottom-feeding NFL draft commentator.
  8. I only need two guitars. Electric, and acoustic. Might upgrade the electric to something with better-shielded internals.
  9. Yeah, that's a great example of what Warner talks about. tl;dw: 1. He has great speed and strength, but not "athleticism" as Warner defines it; Kurt defines it as being able to use your body to make throws in difficult situations. 2. He is "not a natural thrower." He uses his arm totally instead of using his body, and throws bullets when he needs to throw with touch. (Contrast with Ewers, who outside of footwork issues, is very much a natural thrower, throws very catchable balls, etc.) End result is that he's inaccurate; even when he makes the right read, his throws are off-target. 3. He doesn't process beyond his first read very often. And when he does do everything correctly, point #2 keeps him from making the throw. Only an idiot would draft him over Ewers.
  10. Fuckin FedEx somehow screwed up my zip code on those picks, too. WTF. we can THINK it super loud tho
  11. Those aren't Herco's, they're Celluloid 1mm Heavies.
  12. Update: I have G650's picks. If you want to see them alive again, send $3.50 in small, unmarked nickels and dimes @Deej is right. In the absence of being able to afford guitars, I'm collecting picks now. One of these picks is not like the others. G650's are between the weird one and the tiny red Jazz III.
  13. Well, my baby, she don't want me around. She said she's tired of watchin' me fall down. She wants the good life, only the best. But I like that bottle better than the rest. Might not even be the best opening lines on that album, or from that lyricist, but I've always loved em.
  14. Yeah, people up there DO actually care about football. 49ers, Raiders, The Game, etc. It's not like Texas at all (who is?), but not near the levels of apathy down south here.
  15. Also, almost nobody in SoCal cares about football. You'll find plenty of baseball and basketball fans, but football, pro and college, is a big fat "meh." It's even worse in the high school ranks, schools are having problems even fielding a team. My son's former school, 2000 students strong, has entire years where literally zero players come in from middle school. Other high schools just plain shut down their teams, which is how his school was still able to field one -- through transfers.
  16. that's just a sample it doesn't count 😉
  17. Some of those who work forces Are the same who burn crosses
