  1. it's optional if they can let him fall to another round
  2. every time the Jets fail to pick a Longhorn, I breathe a sigh of relief
  3. never forget
  4. the fact that you're talking about him right now is why
  5. I have a higher opinion of Ewers than most, but he would've been beaten out of the starting job had he stayed, and his other options were playing for a university not named Texas. And given his injury history, potentially a career ending move before he even gets a chance. As is, he's going to make a team and get an NFL salary. He'll be fine.
  6. "I had that photoshop edit open for 2 days waiting to see what number I'd have to put in there lmao"
  7. hope you Cowboys fans are happy Blue goes blue
  8. here it is the last cheese pun
  9. I'm gonna just say that most people outside of this board seem to think his skills are better than most of the people on this board and leave it at that. He's got obvious flaws, but then, so does everyone else in this draft. But none of those guys have failed to play an entire season since their sophomore year in high school. He's made of glass.
  10. isn't Malachi Moore one of the guys Ewers made his bitch
  11. i mean, it can work if you're not an entitled little brat
  12. ☝️🤣 This needs more love
  13. hook em Sorrell! to join his good friend Golden in Gee Bee! ahh, these are salad days, my fellow hookems
  14. Kiper's not being paid to be correct nor level-headed. He's being paid to get people talking about his takes. From a "what ESPN wants" standpoint, he's having a career year. Why would they ditch him?
  15. One: He's the CU equivalent of Texas' James Brown, talent-wise; a good college QB who shook things up when a good program was down, surrounded by some talent that made him look better. Two: Aww hell no. The only QB taken so far where you MIGHT claim he's better than is Milroe, and he's not as good as Ewers (anyone who says otherwise doesn't know football well; Ewers is falling because of his injury history, nothing more). Just because a bunch of people SAY he's talented over and over doesn't make it true: Look up the Illusory Truth Effect.
  16. To be fair... there's a lot of us for whom the Sanders drama has made this year's draft more interesting than any previous draft. And it's not just us here on Surly. I've never been enraptured through the third round like I was yesterday. Today, I'm legitimately thinking about making time to be alert through the final four rounds. (And DrawPlayDave has exactly one silly Cheese pic left, for You Know Who, and as the guy dropped he realized he had to redo/revamp the drawing.)
  17. Counterpoint: OU sucks.
  18. Yes. Did you watch Gabriel and Milroe's games?
  19. No. Watch something real.
  20. uhmmmm no.
  21. But here's the thing: Gabriel and Milroe need MUCH MORE work than Ewers does. FAR more. What they don't have? An injury history like Ewers'. Quinn hasn't had a full healthy season since his Sophomore year in high school. That's the reason, and the ONLY reason, he's dropped this far.
  22. ca That's almost entirely footwork and making better reads, both of which are fixed with time and effort. In fact, Ewers is already working on the footwork issue. And as for learning reads -- he's only JUST turned 22. I have no doubt he'll get these all fixed in a year or two. The only thing he can't fix is how often he gets injured. If he can stay healthy, I think he's gonna be a great NFL starter.
  23. So are mock drafts and Shedeur-enfreude... but here we are.
  24. IT'S OFFICIAL! SHEDEUR IS OUT OF THE FIRST TWO DAYS OF THE DRAFT! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA still salty about Ewers tho
  25. lol @ @Beau Vine bein' a little bitch and neggin' the cheese pun posts
