  1. I'm at my daughter's Girl Scouts meeting and they're working on Safety badges. Leader asked, "What can you do to prepare for a natural disaster?" and I was good and didn't give my answer, which was "learn to swim, I'll see you down in Arizona Bay." Later he asked one of them what the word "evacuation" meant, and I wasn't good. I jumped up, then ran out of the room with my arms flailing wildly. ...I thought it was funny. My daughter was pretty embarrassed. WHICH JUST MADE IT FUNNIER
  2. Casey and Shaun should've Then there was 2008, that was a pretty good year; Leach really went on about em in his book Point is, this isn't the first time in (what my old ass considers) recent memory that we've had a godlike pair of DTs
  3. Given the great seasons that led up to, I'm not surprised. Try 1998-1999. Chris Simms, Cory Redding...
  4. haven't you noticed I've been posting HERE a lot more?
  5. Ahhh, ok, well... there it is. That's why you fire an AD right after he hired a new head coach.
  6. Ravens. With two. 49ers are coached by one. So the NFC isn't completely Longhorn-free.
  7. I drop outta this thread for 3 days... Anyway. Firing your AD immediately after hiring a head football coach is an interesting decision, to be sure. Also... seriously, no one else thought of... ...Savea Prayer?
  8. What is wrong with you? How old are you now, and on a SPORTS board no less, that you don't know what the big deal is about the Stanley Cup? Yes. That's why I've finally had to hit the "shut off self view" button
  9. This is the best comparison. There's always been an ebb and flow to how funny it is and isn't. Even without staff and ownership changes, it's hard to be "on"all the time. Those articles in the OP look perfectly average to me. Not any better or worse than is typical. But we remember the funniest jokes over time and forget how mediocre these things often are, day by day.
  10. Yeah, it ain't my first hype rodeo. Funny how you can hardly notice it if you don't get involved and recognize what ain't your business. I've seen more football this past year than I have ever before, and I don't recall seeing Swift more than 3-4 times. Maybe because I DVR games, skip commercials, and ignore crowd shots unless it's something interesting, like, say, Jason Kelce cheering on his brother bare-chested in below-freezing weather, which is awesome and hilarious. Already spoken more about it here than I've thought about it, so I'm going to return to that state of not giving a fuck.
  11. ok seriously, I'm not a fan of the chiefs, eagles, nor swift, but if you don't find the kelces likeable there is something terribly wrong with you get therapy, seriously, don't dump your bullshit on us
  12. It's gotten a lot worse even since I last said it had gotten worse. It's making me look for alternatives.
