  1. I go back and forth on this one vs Lou's, but the outro here wins it for me.
  2. I figured that was more based on Roman's visa/citizenship problems. Of course, that may lead to problems in the transfer market as well.
  3. The Eagles. I like Joe Walsh and Don Henley solo. Put that shit bag Glenn Frey and that really ugly woman in there and you have the genesis of something putrid that would become bro country. How they came up with Hotel California, which I will agree is a fantastic song, I have no idea.
  4. I’m going to have to write a hefty check to ProTax this year. They got me down from 18% increase to 1% - 78731.
  5. Fluke is a bit strong. Schevchenko had 2 sure goals cleared off the line before Liverpool scored and one more late in regulation. The rebound off Xabi's PK cam right back to him. It wasn't like Milan were lucky to be up 3-0 while Liverpool were obviously the better team. Full credit to Liverpool, but I think if Schevchenko had the composure of Nick Anderson in the 95 NBA Finals - the game would have been over by half and nobody would remember it. I don't disagree with your second sentence though.
  6. No, hopefully less than 20-25 years out as we still have young kids. I have watched my parents recently retire and my mother in-law contemplate it. My parents were both afraid until they did it. Now they love it. They have constant little projects going on around the house. They never have a schedule and decide to travel at the drop of a hat. My dad is building all sorts of shit now that he never had time to do before. My mother in law has enough money to retire and live another 100 years doing whatever she wants. She says she can't retire because then what would she do. The concept of "whatever you want to" doesn't seem to register. When talking to her, we fish for things like her church, charitable causes she believes in to volunteer, hobbies, etc. She gets excited and then does a complete 180. I thought maybe she just couldn't admit that she liked her job and just wanted to work, but then I see replies in this thread and think otherwise. I get liking what you do for a living. Maybe I am defining retirement differently from everyone else. Retirement for me will mean when I can say "Fuck it, lets go bowling" the second I want and doesn't make a shit.
  7. Anyone that can't retire because they would be bored is severely lacking in imagination. I also don't understand the people that can't retire because they need to feel important and can only derive their own self worth from others. That being said, if all you can afford to do when you retire is sit at home and rot on the fucking sofa watching the TV at maximum volume - then you have not planned accordingly.
  8. Haha That fan kept Ronaldo from scoring
  9. No way in hell is Bale going to give you the ball there Ronaldo
  10. Something tells me that the Liverpool fans will make an exception and let Karius walk home solo.
  11. Fuck that was a good pass by Bale
  12. Yeah prior to that goal you could have offered Perez some Best Buy coupons. Now he will try to squeeze some cash out.
  13. If we are including the entirety of the Trump/Kim relationship, I would argue "dotard" would be best.
  14. They won the de facto World Cups at the Olympics prior to the FIFA creating the tournament in 1924 and 1928. link
  15. Germany historically had green away jerseys prior to 2000. I think the texturing looks horrendous though. I love the simplicity of the Peruvian ones. Home is white on red, the away is the reverse.
  16. Good deal. Thanks. We have a free night an am trying to find an alternative to convince the wife she doesn’t want to spend the money on Hamilton tickets.
  17. He looks like a cross between Bono and Elvis Costello + 50 lbs.
  18. Time to bring in the Ecuadorian mountain llamas and the Chilean guanacos.
  19. What is the best place to find info on concerts in the area? I checked out the big venues (MSG/Radio City) and the Bowery represented places (Music Hall/Brooklyn Steel/etc), but I obviously don't know shit on venues. If there was a place like CBGB or the Fillmore that is still open, that I should go to just to go - that would also suffice. Phoenix is playing, but I have seen them 5 times and haven't liked much they have put out in the last 5 years or so.
  20. So I think Shaw was the general consensus on the last board for Austin - right? The idea of a daughter sounds good, but I am done. I feel old as fuck and we just got out of diapers. The idea of another baby sounds fucking terrible and we already defeated the pill with the first kid. Anyone have an idea on how long it takes to get back running? I had an ankle problem earlier this year and am just finally getting my mileage back up to where it was before. Most pages say 7-10 days, but 3 months off and I am going to need some diet discipline.
  21. This kind of bullshit is the real reason the next generation is rejecting the church.
  22. Until proven otherwise, I assume any statewide office will be won by the Republican nominee. Believing this, I have always voted in the Republican primary no matter my view of the upcoming general election, since it seems to be the only vote that matters. The fact that anyone bothered to vote in the Democratic primary always surprised me.
  23. So Unai Emery to Arsenal? That actually seems like a sensible choice. Emery has gotten a bad rap the last couple of years due to PSGs failings in Europe, but he does know how to win European trophies at second rate clubs.
  24. because of his traditional family values
