  1. If the Dems aren't running the exact playbook the GOP ran against Obama, they are worthless. What's that playbook? Stall every fucking thing, use every lever of power imaginable. Less talk and more action. Remember how Tommy Tuberville interfered with Biden's military appointments? If they're not doing that, they should have already resigned yesterday as far as I'm concerned.
  2. I 100% believe someone with pure intentions can still make someone else uncomfortable. In this particular HR complaint I don't think either side is in the wrong, and for all we know Sony did privately ask Heath not to be so intense or chummy with Slate. At the end of the day, people are who they are. Christian Bale screaming at some poor crew member on set is probably just the tip of the iceberg (in fact, I've heard much worse horror stories from friends who are still working in Hollywood in various capacities). The truth is that people not getting along on movie sets is incredibly common, and I would not be shocked if HR complaints are a dime-a-dozen.
  3. You're right, the Democratic party should never be criticized even when they fail spectacularly, even when they have learned nothing from that failure, and even when they're showing no signs of life.
  4. There has been a small but vocal community of people who think the 2024 election was actually rigged. Haven't dug too much into it because it don't make much of a shit at this point, but you could be onto something.
  5. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/justin-baldoni-bahai-blake-lively-legal-feud-1236142565/ This Heath guy seems like a weird dude, but if this is their other SH claim it's not on Baldoni and it's fairly weak. He's the asshole for offering to comp her lost security deposit?
  6. I think it was on the old site. One of the things I remember was that state employees (like that hag who was refusing to issue gay marriage licenses) can be sued for violating civil rights but federal agents basically can't. Qualified immunity was the main subject of the thread of course, though.
  7. Wasn't there a really long bernard thread about how federal agents can't be sued even if you cooperated with them
  8. They put MAGA hat shitheads behind the US bench that we had to look at any time the camera showed the HC. Glad they paid high prices to watch Canada break their hearts
  9. I agree it's best for him to get some quality practice time in before full contact playing time.
  10. Have you looked at the MRI? I haven't. I want him to make a full recovery, too. That said I've never heard of a torn ligament taking more than a year to heal.
  11. Well, the injury and surgery were both before the 2024-2025 season, so yes.
  12. I don't like that at all.
  13. I tend to agree, if we're only going on what they contributed while on the cast. But I recognize that I'm more biased towards Hartman's work because I've seen more of it than I've seen of Eddie Murphy's, so I'm ready to admit that I'm wrong once I've sat down and seen as much of Murphy's SNL work as I've seen of Hartman's.
  14. hard pass
  15. is the new provost better or worse
  16. This is missing the facebook hot take guy isn't it?
  17. Wemby and Pop are gonna be recovering together. Would be a great sitcom.
  18. I've been sprinkling some Aldo Raine into more of my pop culture references, to give Luigi Mangione a bit of a break
  19. okay this is just disingenuous. we're finally calling him Captain Chaos!
  20. That's pretty freaky. I used to fly very frequently for work and would mostly ignore all the DVT scaremongering. I was younger but not Wemby young.
  21. Baw gawd that's Mo Bamba's music....
  22. That has always worried me as well. We have learned much more about being freakishly tall and the different things that cause and are caused by it. Marfan's, Giantism, Foot problems, etc. He didn't have the "look" of one of those George Muresan or Yao Ming types, but maybe I only made those assumptions because he likes to handle the ball and shoot 3s, and based on that assumption I figured if he had some potential health drawback the talent scouts and GMs already would've been wise to it.
