  1. Alright, Duck season Youth Weekend is just a couple of days away. This is the last year that my son has to participate as a shooter. There were some ducks in our wetland last weekend and this last cool front should have brought more, so looking forward to some smoking guns this weekend.
  2. It's the youth opener this weekend but we forgot our scuba gear.
  3. Plowboys makes a rub called Yardbird and is great on smoked chicken. It may have too much sugar for grilling.
  4. I've gone twice on trips down to San Antonio and have been very disappointed each time. Family says they won't go back again that there are too many other places to go with good BBQ.
  5. I don't know, I haven't seen a picture of your wife.
  6. Its the soft sided Redneck blind. It's up on a 3' platform. As you can see, it can get wet in those bottoms. Color has faded some from the sun but the deer don't seem to care.
  7. I was hoping to catch some rain after planting but it hasn't stopped. Went out on Sunday to get the blind set up and check on the growth progress. Hoping the deer food plot doesn't turn into duck food plot. Already have that part covered on the other end of my property.
  8. Nice set up.
  9. Why you have that booked marked?
  10. He will ship. Just need to work out the details with Champ.
  11. Paper is looking awesome
  12. 9 lb. and under brisket after being smoked will usually fit the 11" roll.
  13. I would stop there to eat and buy a T-Shirt.
  14. Will be in Tyler tomorrow evening. What barbecue place is the best to eat at?
  15. My place is in Ellis County. First time planting a food plot so wasn't going to go with the expensive Turner Seed mix.
  16. Decided to put in a food plot for the deer. It took over 10 hours to rip through the grass to get a good seed bed so I hope it's worth it.
  17. Orlando being smart.
  18. BBQ Quest: Dallas-Ft.Worth episode
  19. Rent a uhaul trailer one way, if that keeps prices in line.
  20. The site says "easy to assemble" so it looks like the 3 legs come individually to be put together to the plate on top. You would have several feet hanging over the tailgate, but pick up red cloth or ribbon to tie to the end, strap them down and you should be good to go.
  21. US Foods in Dallas has beef ribs on sale this week for $4.35/lb. https://www.usfoods.com/content/dam/usf/pdf/chefstore/Managers_Specials_Flyer_DAL_LR.pdf
  22. ^^^^This is your spot.
  23. 0 for 2 on teal hunts. Figured they were going to be piled in the grass farm about 1/2 mile away, which was confirmed when I left. Along with about 50 Canada geese. However, we did get the new bow tree stand set up at least.
