  1. Osuna is certainly something to get excited about.
  2. Lot of stuff closing on this side of White Rock Lake. Hypnotic Donuts, which had been around for almost 13 years has closed. Hong Kong Restaurant which had been in business for over 60 years is gone. Same strip center and there is talk that the whole center is going away for a new development.
  3. This. Very much this. My wife has had a really hard time lately because of how bleak it has gotten. I've tried to encourage our family to be the change we want to see. We are so very lucky to have what we have and there's so much suffering out there. It's up to us to make things better. We can't always worry about what's happening at the macro level that we have no control over other than our one vote. We can help the people who are at the miles long food line on Garland Road near our house that we see twice a month. We can take time to clean up White Rock Lake that we love. We can try to help the homeless, who there will only be more and more of since everyone is pushed to the brink. We can be kind even to those who may not deserve it. Now, the 2nd half of our post. I don't know if I agree with that. We're a nation founded on violence. We've used it throughout our history. We've had hate throughout our history. Native Americans, slaves, immigrants, people who "didn't belong here". This is nothing new. At least we're not committing wholesale genocide of these people now. We do it in other ways now like cycles of violence, poverty, drug addiction, hopelessness. But again, that's why it is up to us to help when we can.
  4. The reception the fans gave Trent was great. They can be angry that he left without getting the club more money but that guy gave 20 years to this club. 2 EPL titles, 1 UEFA, countless great memories.
  5. On that note, 341M globally this weekend for Lilo & Stitch. So gear up for more 90s era nostalgia live action remakes.

  7. MO SALAH! MO SALAH! MO SALAH! RUNNING DOWN THE WING! SALAH LA LA LA LA! THE EGYPTIAN KING! Mo just tied it up on my replay watch.
  8. The parade scenes are incredible.
  9. Well, they had it in the opener but I thought they always replayed it during a key scene where Ethan overcomes ridiculous odds to complete the mission?
  10. Agree with Chickasaw National Recreation Area. We were driving back from a wedding in OKC yesterday and I made a point to drive down 177 from OKC to hit up that area. Then we joined back with 35 at Ardmore. It's about 30 miles north from Ardmore.
  11. Pockets of fomenting.
  12. Enjoyed it because I enjoy all of these, well maybe not 2. That said, it was kinda clunky and the script had some weird interactions and dialogue between the characters. I didn't mind the Dunlow stuff. Gabriel became even more of a moustache twirling villain in this one. COME AND GET ME, ETHAN! I found it funny that they've done so much with Tom Cruise and vehicles that fly in the air that they had to either go back to bi-planes or hot air balloons. Wife pointed out, no masks in this one and no MI theme song. And Tom, it's okay. You can kiss the girl.
  13. Watching the replay this morning on Peacock. The double guard of honor was pure class. Jurgen in the crowd hits me in the feels. He helped build this dream season. I love that he's able to soak it all in.
  14. Don't get up gentlemen, I'm only passing through.
  15. The Last of Ellie's Poor Decisions?
  16. And it still looks better than most of the garbage prequels.
  17. The last one of this magical season. I’ll be driving home from OKC during the match but will catch the replay later.
  18. This is like trying to ask me which of my children I love more. I can love both seasons equally and for different reasons.
  19. I think I've posted this before but it is even more relevant now. I read this book at the end of last year and it's really good. I had a lot of misconceptions that it helped to clear up and a lot of the stories are very harrowing. One thing it showed me was that ICE may just be full of really horrible people who are now free to get away with all the things they wanted to do before but were held back from doing by previous administrations. And that previous administrations were also pretty awful and never tried to fix things either. https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/625425/everyone-who-is-gone-is-here-by-jonathan-blitzer/
  20. Maybe the dessert was a dessert meme coin.
  21. Liverpool open Florian Wirtz transfer talks with Leverkusen By David Ornstein 15 May 23, 2025Updated 2:55 pm CDT Liverpool have opened talks with Bayer Leverkusen over the signing of playmaker Florian Wirtz. Communications between the two clubs had already been opened after an agreement was reached for Liverpool to sign right-back Jeremie Frimpong. Any move for the 22-year-old would represent a club record signing for Liverpool and would also make Wirtz the most expensive ever German player. On Friday, The Athletic reported Bayern Munich believed Wirtz would not join them this summer as he was on track for a move to Anfield, having also been a transfer target for the German champions. Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro said in April Wirtz had a “very high chance” of staying at the club this summer, but The Athletic reported earlier this month that Liverpool had made contact with the player’s representatives after holding a long-standing interest in acquiring the attacking midfielder. Wirtz signed a new contract with Leverkusen in 2022, extending his terms until 2027. He went on to become one of Europe’s greatly coveted talents, after being named Bundesliga’s Player of the Season in 2023-24, as he helped Xabi Alonso’s side to an unbeaten domestic campaign and a maiden Bundesliga title, notching 18 goals and 20 assists. The 22-year-old went on to register 16 goals and 15 assists this term, as Leverkusen finished 13 points behind Bundesliga champions Bayern, while Wirtz became a regular feature for Germany, making 29 appearances since making his senior debut in 2021. Wirtz scored twice in five matches for Julian Nagelsmann’s side at Euro 2024. What You Should Read Next Florian Wirtz is wanted by Liverpool, Man City and Bayern – but which club would he fit best? Tactical analysis of how the in-demand Germany international operates - and who might benefit most from adding him to their team Wirtz told Sports Illustrated in May he is “definitely keen” to “experience something new”, having completed six consecutive seasons at Leverkusen since joining from Cologne in 2020. The playmaker could be one of three key departures for Leverkusen this summer. The Athletic reported earlier in May that wing-back Frimpong was set to undergo a medical ahead of a proposed move to Liverpool, having agreed a five-year contract to join the Premier League champions following the upcoming departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold. Meanwhile, head coach Alonso announced he would depart the club at the end of the season after two-and-a-half years in charge. The Athletic reported that the former central midfielder is Real Madrid’s first-choice option to replace Carlo Ancelotti at the Bernabeu, with the Italian becoming Brazil’s head coach on May 26. Liverpool won this season’s Premier League title with four matches to spare following a 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in April, levelling Manchester United’s record top-flight title haul (20).
  22. This has to break the bank, right? What's his valuation? This will take Diaz and Nunez both going, I bet.
