  1. Only a subset are impervious to burning/melting. See Dany's brother.
  2. I've been fallin for that shit all season.
  3. I think 3-2, although 2-3 is likely as well. We have not shown a good enough defense to win consistently against good teams on the road.
  4. The only way you consistently, across multiple seasons, give up 3rd and longs is if your DC is a fucking idiot (see Tony Orlando for example). It's not a talent or bad luck or injury issue. PK's defenses do this because he's simply not a very good DC. Period. You can also pick whichever stats you want to make yourself feel better (yes, the defense is improving, but it almost has to given how bad we were last year). If you actually watch the product on the field, our defense is terrible. We will never consistently contend for anything meaningful with PK at the helm on defense. That was obvious last year. The fact that he is still employed is the biggest mark against Sark for me (and I really want Sark to succeed).
  5. PK is a moron, situationally or otherwise. I have no idea what Sark sees in him.
  6. I forgot/didn't know he was still coaching. It's been an interesting road for the maj.
  7. Interesting. I always figured (maybe I dreamed it in my head) that Sark preferred passers.
  8. I'm so glad the King finally croaked. Looking at that ghoulish motherfucker was some tales from the crypt shit every week.
  9. Nothing super fancy here, catching OU in a blitz. But putting the ball in the hands of an athlete with teammates committed to fantastic blocking ahead of him is a good thing.
  10. I loved this play from the tech game. Another layered concept with play action, the back/TE in the flat, and Robinson on the wheel.
  11. Good episode, and next week looks intense. The time jumps and restating are annoying though.
  12. Totally agree. Also, watch him after the play. He just walks calmly back to the sideline. Pure ice.
  13. how big of a shit is warehime gonna leave in the football facility bathroom on the way out?
  14. Motion was effective here too. Not a bad throw either.
  15. Yes, I may have called him Seven Win Steve before, but literally no one doubts the man's ability to run an offense. Instead of getting buried in various threads, I thought we could collect some of our favorite clips here during the year. It's so nice to have an offense where plays build on one another, and there's a punch and counterpunch and counter-counterpunch. One of my favorite sequences in the OU game was our 2nd touchdown drive. The way Sark used motion throughout the game to fool and punish the OU defense was fucking masterful, and nowhere more so than on this drive. I almost felt bad for them (not really). I counted at least four times where the same/similar look yielded four different plays. Motion to divert from a throwback screen: Next play, similar motion on an inside handoff: Next play, same look, but a now a play action and wheel route from the motion: And then, the chef's kiss, similar motion to clear out the defenders for the post pattern on the TD. He's out here playing 3D chess against these checker-fumbling shitheads. Remember when GDGD literally ran the same fucking play 3 times in a row against OU one year? me neither. Not anymore.
  16. Definitely. the way Sark used motion throughout the game was masterful.
  17. Venables will get 3 years at most. He sucks. Being a long-time DC and getting passed over for HC gigs along the way is a major red flag. See Strong, Charles. I wish OU all the luck we had over the last decade in trying to find a good HC. I think they've again entered their Garry Gibbs, Howard Schnellenberger, John Blake era.
  18. Agree with this. I still don't really trust PK against a good offense with some playmakers - I think he will get roasted. But maybe this is the redemption year. Sark's offense fucks, particularly when he has a real qb that that knows all the Madden button combos. Maybe PK turns it around and becomes the DC many thought he would and prove doubters like me wrong. I would actually love for that to happen.
  19. Well, we are a whole different team with Ewers at QB, so technically the statement is not far off.
  20. We look better, but it's hard to tell much against this putrid OU offense. Wait until we go against a real juggernaut, like Kansas.
