  1. If it's Angelo Brocato (would surprise me if they were at the airport though, because it's old school), definitely go to the original near City Park. We love that friggin place.
  2. Solid lineup. LPG has risen up my list. Great food, pretty damn good value (lower corkage fee than some as well) and good location for us. Try the turtle bolognese, if you've never had it there...unusual, but tasty. Also, love Shaya and it is close to where we stay as well (since right by LPG). Want to try Saba, but not been yet So many good Uptown options we love...LPG, Shaya, Upperline, Casamento's, Coquette, Patois, and on and on. Ready for a NOLA trip now.
  3. It is strong. Way better brunch than my only time at Willa Jean.
  4. On last visit there, the food highlights were: 1. Giant 2. QXY 3. The Publican Would go back to all three in a heartbeat.
  5. The Miller kid is a beast.
  6. Um, negative. Just think it's a cool first name and, if he's worth a shit (is he?), it'd be cool to hear Herman talk about a guy named Bear in a presser.
  7. If we don't get a dude named f'in Bear (assuming he's a take/wanted), I think I might cry.
  8. Yep, bring his scrappy little ass on.
  9. Went there for lunch on Saturday and it was damn good. Had the pastrami sandwich with swiss, slaw and a good sauce. The pastrami was excellent. Also, fyi, it's byob.
  10. Anyone know where I can find the face value ticket prices for each game? I know they vary based on location and who the opponent is, but I'm having trouble finding these numbers anywhere. They used to print them on the tickets but, again this year, my season tix don't have the prices on them.
  11. "Should OU lose Hurts in a tragic scenario where one of his teammates drunkenly beats him into a coma, cuts his neck open with a screwdriver, or breaks his jaw thinking he's a woman, and he goes down for a month or more, Tanner Mordecai is the replacement and he’s as prepared as okie high school students are for future life success." Excellent sentence and thread title. Kudos.
  12. I can't recall deciding on one of these faster...ever: 1, 2 or 3, 2 or 3
  13. I'll second The Publican rec. We were there recently and it was really good.
  14. Yep, years ago, and it was very good.
  15. Yep, they were damn good. Ate there often, especially my freshman year.
  16. Hated to hear this. Not the best burger in town, but pretty damn good. Back in the old days, it was hard to beat a Chubby Chuck's with mayo + rings on a hungover Sunday. Dammit.
  17. Good grief. I have no words.
  18. Wow...sign him up.
  19. Have heard good things about Carrollton Market, but have not been yet. Report back please. Also, Brigtsen's and Shaya are favorites of ours as well...always solid.
  20. Yep...this one stinks to high heaven.

    Whatcha reading?

Yep, I really enjoyed it. Also, recently finished Rules of Civility and liked it as well, but not as much as this one.
  22. It really is good. If I recall correctly, when we had brunch there, they made a damn good bloody too.

    Whatcha reading?

The Son was really good. Went on a Western binge recently and it was one of the best I read, along with The Sisters Brothers and Butcher's Crossing.
  24. Wow, better than Parkway?
  25. No shit, this is the worst and wish I'd never opened this thread today. Good grief.
